As I listened and reflected over the last 2ish years of my life tears started to stream down my cheeks. The things I have done, the people I have hurt, the choices I made... He is willing to forgive and I believe He has been willing the whole time, it just took me most of my life to hit rock bottom so I could see that He would not abandon me or hurt me like I was hurt by others. He carried my sins to the cross, suffered what I deserved and yet still picks me up on the days I fail as a loving Father does. Oh how I wish I knew Him many years ago, but how incredibly thankful I am that He chose me and has been healing me for months now. My deepest wish is now to forgive like He does and serve Him by loving those who are hurt and lost.
Tim, you are such a blessing! I listen to your sermons when I go on walks when I can't see my children and my heart hurts, and you point me back to Him each time - and I end my walk renewed and full of love.

A few years ago I tried to veer my teenage son towards a game called Unravel, when you have to unravel yarn and use it to move forward. In every single sermon Tim unravels truth and misconceptions into yarn that can be spun into only truth that can set you free in confidence of clear truth. Not dancing on the decks pretending the ship is not sinking, but standing on a rock of certainty and then soaring above the muddledom of life. Does that mean I've arrived? No. So struggling because of tiredness, but loving being unravelled to be respun into truth. Unravelling the misconceptions that lead to grief, anger, disdain, hopelessness. Unravelling the questions that seem unanswerable and become stumbling blocks. Praise God for all of this ministry.

We believe in god, The One, and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered.

I've listened to Tim's sermons so many times that he's starting to get on my nerves. I wonder if it's because the information is finally sinking in. Yes, I want to continue sinning while God cleans up my mess. I am truly a sick f***. That's what the Bible has taught me. The fear of annihilation is still not strong enough to prevent me from hurting myself and others. I'm so cool. Someone get me my straight jacket

    • @MathewAlden
      @MathewAlden 4 роки тому +2

Please don't think that you have to want forgiveness badly enough in order for God to forgive you; I don't think that's the point Tim is making. What I mean is (although it is possible to reject God's forgiveness) God's forgiveness is not dependent on you doing better. Rather, you are motivated to do better because you know that God has already forgiven you, freely. Paul talks about this a lot in Romans 1 thru 8 and Ephesians 2.

We are created in god’s image. However... a human being can lose the image of god, whit which he was created; where his emotions take over the brain, and he is governed strictly by his emotions, and it’s actions are out of control, and they don’t match the emotions...

One thing that is really interesting about this is the contrast with other beliefs like that of the Greek men of Gold, of Silver, and of Bronze. Because there, the moment the gods are displeased they scrap everything and start over, but here God is committed to his people despite centuries of his people ... "displeasing" him.

    • @Fibonochos

    • @aprescienceofhumor7977
      @aprescienceofhumor7977 4 роки тому +1

Perhaps you want to define grace and gracious but if we use a common sense that we receive 'blessing' that we do not deserve, than all people receive life (if temporary), growth, food, sex, children, etc, etc... these are all grace. God is love to His people in a way distinct and everlasting which is not common to everyone, only the elect. God is father to only the elect, the non-elect children of their father, the devil. But as God has ordained the wheat and tares grow together, pursue everyone as potentially elect until the time for possible repentance is past, when they die.

It is time for believers worldwide to WAKE UP, get serious about reading the WORD, obeying what we read and STOP putting our trust in man!
Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart turns away from Yahweh"(Jeremiah 17:5)
We have been LIED TO in Churches about the Name above all names. Our Creator has a Name - YAHWEH and He put His Name upon His one and only begotten Son - YAHSHUA.
Be on guard before Him and obey His voice. Do not rebel against Him, for He is not going to pardon your transgression, for My Name is in Him." (Exodus 23:21)
We have been LIED TO about the SABBATHS of Yahweh.
Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to Yahweh, to serve Him, and to love the Name of Yahweh, to be His servants, all who guard the Shabbath, and not profane it, and hold fast to My Covenant - them I shall bring to My qodesh mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer." (Isaiah 56:6-7)
We Have been LIED TO about the COMMANDS of Yahweh.
And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His Commands. The one who says, 'I know Him,' and does not guard His Commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. (1 John 2:3-5)
It is time to PRAY for an opening of BLINDED EYES to understand His loving Covenant to ISRAEL, who we MUST be GRAFTED IN TO to become the children of Yah! It's time to shelve our learning inherited from "the whore" and become as little children to allow the Spirit of Yah to re-instruct us in the TRUTH!
Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become as little children, you shall by no means enter into the reign of the shamayim." (Matthew 18:3)
It's time to CLEAN UP our act and to cease wallowing in the abominations and lusts of the world!
Come out from among them and be separate, says יהוה, and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive you." (2 Corinthians 6:17)
A total enslavement is coming very very soon. You want Truth with Scripture go to 2besaved dot com.

I never thought of justice as God’s love. I always read it as retributive. I never got through reading the Old Testament, because it would disturb me and seem so contrary to the Jesus God I know. I will give it another try Tim, but help me understand all the mass deaths attributed to justice. And why die if you touch the holy of holies if He’s pure love?

RE 33min mark- somehow, the message is that if we go back to God, we are forgiven. In Deuteronomy 30, we see that in addition to returning to God, we also should obey His voice- which would probably be the mark of repentance. The part of returning was emphasized but the part of obeying seemed left out. Would you advise why- I know theres a part saying God knows we will fail anyway, but to say that forgiveness comes as long as we return feels incomplete. We should not be afraid of speaking of the “harsher” parts. I love the bibleproj but am surprised at this specific omission of the other half of the verse.

O Children of Israel! Remember the blessings I bestowed upon you and how I gave you distinction among the nations
Yet it is you who subdue and slay your own people, and evict a weak faction among you from their homes. And you support one another in hurting the community and sowing the seeds of discord. And when these homeless people get enslaved by others and are brought to you, you ransom them, whereas it was unlawful for you to evict them in the first place. What! Do you wish to accept one part of the scripture and reject the other? Think then, what the reward of such wrongdoing must be - nothing but disgrace in the life of this world, and on the Day of Resurrection the most grievous chastisement. God is not unaware of what you do. You jew, it is you who subdue and slay your own people, and evict a weak faction among you from their homes.

Good message overall. I didn't find the argument for God visiting punishment for sin to the 3's and the 4's being an idiomatic reference to be very compelling, though. There are several instances where the sin of the father results in the death of the whole family, including Korah, Achan, and Ahab. In Nehemiah 13, the Ammonites and Moabites were expelled from the assembly of God because of the transgressions of their ancestors. It's not exactly a punishment in that case, but it still assigns guilt, or consequence for guilt, down a generational line.

Today's so-called self-proclaiming "christians" have been hoodwinked into believing they're sinners under a law that passed away...and need a savior who said he came for someone else...who will save them from a sin that's already been removed...and a judgement that already happened...and allow them into covenant that was made with someone else. The fact is, we today were never and are not part of ancient Israel's redemptive narrative.~Michael Bradley

If that is true, how do you reconcile the fact that death was passed to all men through one man or how do you reconcile that all women giving birth will do so in pain?

To religious people who believe in the *fictional* Abrahamic god YHWH/Yahweh/Jehovah/Allah, please learn his origins. He was originally a lesser god in the Canaanite pantheon and son of the chief Canaanite god El.
Yes, the *fictional* god of the Israelites and Christians is the same *fictional* god of the Muslims as well - the Abrahamic god, the god of Abraham and Moses.
    ------------------‐-----------------------------------------------
*Although the biblical narratives depict Yahweh as the sole creator god, lord of the universe, and god of the Israelites especially, initially he seems to have been Canaanite in origin and subordinate to the supreme god El.* Canaanite inscriptions mention a lesser god Yahweh and even the biblical Book of Deuteronomy stipulates that *“the Most High, El,* gave to the nations their inheritance” and that “Yahweh's portion is his people, Jacob and his allotted heritage” (32:8-9). A passage like this reflects the early beliefs of the Canaanites and Israelites in polytheism or, more accurately, henotheism (the belief in many gods with a focus on a single supreme deity). *The claim that Israel always only acknowledged one god is a later belief cast back on the early days of Israel's development in Canaan.*
*It is generally accepted in the modern day, however, that Yahweh originated in southern Canaan as a lesser god in the Canaanite pantheon* and the Shasu, as nomads, most likely acquired their worship of him during their time in the Levant.
    *Yahweh in the Canaanite Pantheon*
The biblical narrative, however, is not as straightforward as it may seem as it also includes reference to the Canaanite god El whose name is directly referenced in `Israel' (He Who Struggles with God or He Who Perseveres with God). *El was the chief deity of the Canaanite pantheon and the god who, according to the Bible, gave Yahweh authority over the Israelites:*
When the *Most High [El]* gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of men, he fixed the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the Sons of God. For Yahweh's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage. (Deuteronomy 32:8-9, Masoretic Text).
The Canaanites, like all ancient civilizations, worshipped many gods but chief among them was the sky-god El. *In this passage from Deuteronomy, El gives each of the gods authority over a segment of the people of earth and Yahweh is assigned to the Israelites who, in time, will make him their supreme and only deity; but it is clear he existed beforehand as a lesser Canaanite god.*
Yahweh, according to Amzallag, was transformed from one god among many to the supreme deity by the Israelites in the Iron Age (c.1200-930 BCE) when iron replaced bronze and the copper smelters, whose craft was seen as a kind of transformative magic, lost their unique status. *In this new age, the Israelites in Canaan sought to distance themselves from their neighbors in order to consolidate political and military strength and so elevated Yahweh above El as the supreme being and claimed him as their own.* His association with the forge, and with imagery of fire, smoke, and smiting, worked as well in describing a god of storms and war and so Yahweh's character changed from a deity of transformation to one of conquest.
*As the Israelites developed their community in Canaan, they sought to distance themselves from their neighbors and, as noted, elevated Yahweh above the traditional Canaanite supreme deity El.* They did not, however, embrace monotheism at this time. The Israelites remained a henotheistic people through the time of the Judges, which predates the rise of the monarchy, and throughout the time of the Kingdom of Israel (c.1080-c. 722).

The Authorized Version of the Bible (for English) uses the name JEHOVAH for GOD THE FATHER. This is not related to the JW cult, this is from the real Bible.
