Good job! I so needed & appreciate this video. The only video for 2004-2008 Ford F150 4.6L V8 Transmission Dipstick Tube Replacement. 👍
Lol I need to take this off to do the valve cover and am forever grateful.
Great job and you were very patient with teaching your girl friend the how to do...God Bless
What a great guy, showing her how to do it right and do it safe and not being an @$$hole about it either. I love this dude.
Get 'er done! Good job, MacGyver.
Erika is the only reason I watched this whole video lol
Thanks brother! You saved my ass from going to the damn garage
Pro tip. Get the right Orings. Yours will work for only a short time before deterioration takes over because trans fluid is costic
Cody, for future viewers, what type of O ring should they be looking for?
Exact same truck as mine nice
What patch/method did you feed the tube? Mine was gone so i had no reference....
Go to right down to left ok straight down mo the other right ok right there hope that helps good job
The new tube will go in. It's just a bit of a puzzle to get it in place.
Good job there. What is part# for replacement fill tube.Man pulling the tube out of transmisson housing is booger..I had a gush of fluid (not prepared) maybe jacking up truck is key, listing fluid to drivers side. 18mm to get hanger bracket bolt off.
If the old tube is already out, do I need to take out my fender wall to install the new tube? Thanks
This was a while ago, but I would be inclined to say yes. Its not hard to take out, just tedious. Makes things much easier to see and I do believer there are bolts on that tube that need to be fastened to the block
I agree with @heavymetalspacenerd. Ericka is the only reason I watched this video.
Can't get the new tube down, how were you able?
Would appreciate an answer to this I'm in the same boat
Holy rust😳
I’m just going to replace mine on a 5.4 2007 ..wish me luck
How did it go?
How the hell do you get it back in?
Yup it took me a few hours on mine Dont know how I got it in but I got it. 😬
Yo dude !......is she single!??? 🤣🤣🤣 im havin same issue with my expedition right now .
Do you remember how you got that tube installed? Did you have to take anything apart?
I would like to know this as well can't seem to get mine to line up
@@brentl.8778 I ended up getting mine in. I can't remember how but if you keep at it eventually it will go in.
The easiest way is come in with a 2 foot extension. Coming from under the chassis. Short Swivel extension with a 13mm socket.
you may want to consider coating your frame real well so it doesn't rust away as fast as the dipstick..
This damn video won't play
Just so everyone knows this can easily be done with the wheel on.
@@Yacht5.56 In your perfect world, sure boss.
@@OldSoulMillennialconsidering i literally just did it in my driveway I guess my world is perfect.
@@Yacht5.56 You must live down South. Rust belt is a different animal.
she should remove tires for every repair. Just sayin.
