New boating combat introduced in this update is absolutely phenomenal, and the thing I always wanted DST to have. The game is a straight up boat building sandbox game, isn't that amazing?!..
I don't see why they put perfectly functional boats In shipwrecked and didn't put them in dst... I like options, I don't want them to remove current boats. I would love for them to add shipwrecked boats though.
not entirely on topic here, but I reckon you could use the cannon to destroy the first section of every dock on the moon key island and destroy all he pirate habitats fairly briskly.
seeing Beard rotating his boat makes me think that maaaybe Klei Will included a time limited event like the forge, only in the sea, maybe boat wars, a pvp event? I would certainly love it would happen
Hey beard, i wanna make one thing clear items stolen by pirate monkeys dont dissapear, they bury them in hidden treasures, and sometimes they can drop from them, not always but it's someting i noticed.
I know they drop from them, that wasn't the point. The items do disappear from their homes, that's a fact regardless of the treasure hunting mechanics! :D

Those ocean trawlers seem perfect for wobster farming, so often you’d see dens nearby but no one fishing for them Also you said they’re locked behind pearl’s island? Is it the same as unlocking the pinch and winch or do you need to complete more of her errands?
They don't work on Wobsters. Not at the moment at least. Also, I'm talking about fish food being locked behind Pearl and not the trawlers. I literally show you the trawler craft.
Hope they buff the cannons' damage because at such high resource cost and difficulty behind actually hitting your target they should deal about 1k+ damage per hit, lol.
If shot properly it's 160 damage a shot which isn't terrible however in my experience the shots are extremely hit and miss when it comes to dealing either 160 damage or 60...
There's nothing to guide you on. Wonkey doesn't even have that many perks; neutral to monkeys, favorite food is bananas, can run like Wilbur, stat adjustments and depending on who you changed from a loss or gain of mechanics that could be either good or bad.
Looks like I'm based near the island since I seem to get murdered by pirates each time I go sailing. Not sure I can afford to use a pan flute every time. Is there another option? Crew of pigs maybe?

Are there parts of the ocean where they never spawn or is there always a chance? Can you outrun them? I've thought about carrying a grass raft in my inventory & abandoning ship when the music starts but I don't know if that would help.

Perhaps they're gping to make sails un rotatable so you'll need the rudder thing to rotate it tp the direction you want. Quite a controversial change so maybe they're still looking at the matter.
Its a beta, if you switch into the beta using steam you'll get the update early. fair warning, you may see crashes or bugs as its not finished yet. Also, changes will be made in the final cut- for example before the reap what you sow update- growth formula used to heal wormwood

I am also one man so have patience and understand how to know when things have actually released versus when people are spawning in things that they found in the files.

Sneakily one of the best ocean addition we've ever gotten in almost 3+ years.
They'll still be damaged and broken pretty quickly, so just have the ability to make a second quickly and you'll be good.

If you want to kill the raids then yeah, followers will help. Eventually you can use bananas or cannons to appease or scare them off.

You mean will Warly's crockpot perk disappear? Yes, yes it will. That said, Wonkey can't do too much beyond running and being neutral to monkeys.
