11:46 Red: > doesn’t accept the alliance > caps in not a great location > doesn’t put troops on the capital > loses the cap > refuses to elaborate > leaves 😂
To be fair, red had terrible capital options, especially when going last. Their best option was probably Denmark, which started with only two troops. OTOH, they played badly otherwise, as you noted. Most pf their troops were in Iceland.
23:49 Pete: Can we stop fighting and work together? 2 seconds later (White suicides slams Blue) I couldn't take this game seriously after Red suicided, black poked his head for blue, and white slammed blue. You'd think this was a comedy
Big fan of the channel and never really comment but this game I found really entertaining!! Such a constant shift between players starting mini wars rather than going to attrition. Also happy to see people checking and not just playing for second. Would of been fun to see everyone play the game out without the bot outs. Ps I was happy to see white place decently as he was the only real home throughout the game ♥️
The viewpoint of alliances is one I have had as well. What do you think about having three different forms of negotiation. Comms, vision, and non aggression?
@@TheKillPeteStrategy If there was an alternative option to risk with similar mechanics, but less randomness on attacks and a focus away from cards, would that also be interesting to you?
@@frctnlss Removing one type of luck from risk (ex. dice) just results in making the other types of luck in the game more impactful. I play everything, so it's all interesting to me.
I love alliances when they actually treat you as an ally and when we end up on the last 2 I just give them the win if they were actually a good sport and helpful on making the game move on
I wasn't sold on this format initially, but the fixed card thing is certainly refreshing (more long-term strategy instead of random bursts of card trading). Having blizzards sometimes would be nice as well, but some without blizzards isn't bad (focusing more on negotiating, of course). All in all I like seeing these as some portion of the games at least!
@@RobotSantaClaus Quite the opposite, my good sir, they almost always lead to a quick snowball (as whoever wins the pocket can bully out everyone else). If anything, non-blizzards lend more towards stalemates (as everyone can get a decent position); though fixed cards helps to eliminate that as you can cut someone's knees out from under them more easily.
Variety would be great but the fear with blizzards is the creation of too many op pawn positions where players luck their way into wins I cant skill my way out of. So perhaps fun for a show but not for a ranked grind series
@@TheKillPeteStrategy Yeah, blizzards are more for entertainment; a mix of the two is best from my perspective as a viewer to get a mix of more 'skill' games and more just fun OP games.

I’ve noticed the red type play a lot, capping in one spot then taking a bonus bordering on another player instead of the bonus they’re in, it’s so weird. I guess it would work fine against the most passive of players.
You can maybe do something like make it so you can't attack allies more than once a turn (for trades). The second attack ends the alliance and your attacking turn. Makes it so it's hard to completely backstab an ally.
hey pete- if you see this msg I would love an answer- Ive noticed you generally blitz a 1 when in true random when there is a chance you could lose a ton of troops- so how come you choose to not manual when you roll against a 1 in true random?
If you have the time manualling in tr is the strategically correct play. But I'm certainly not trying to teach my opponents that and have the game drag out wayyyyy longer
Well played Pete! I think it is nice you went out of your way to kill purple last even though he had second locked in already. I do believe the game doesn't do a good job of showing that the bot outs gives the lower placements as soon as the they go fully MIA. I think it would be kinda cool to see your possible placements in game the whole match. Not as much as i'd want them to fix all the broken elements such as the slider and cap rolls. But hey....
There was an episode maybe 2 weeks ago (maybe even more like 3) where you had just absolute noobery. Like just slam use all troops, like something we had not seen on this channel since I started last November. I'm trying to remember it because it was such a unique playstyle that you thought was very informative and I thought so. I say that as I watch red about 13 minutes in.
Destroyed everyone last night from noob corner lol. Had no choice, at start I had all but 2 territories and we t first. One bonus after 1 turn, 2 bonus after 2 turns and then France on third turn. They left me alone to get big and move towards the internal and then the rest is history
I play very alliance based. If they are on or not. generally I play to get top 2 with someone and if I don’t see myself winning I will play to get second and give someone first
Man i was kicking my self, was playing capitals in Canada advanced, and it was made for me to win I mean three players not out I had 3 capitals only 1 to go and my phone died. I cussed my phone out and this game 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
If you bot out in hopes of not being targeted by other players only to return later after a few players have been eliminated and then attempting to continue playing.
people's stupidity is truly boundless. What were those plays? I'm expert, but a garbage risk player, but even to my eyes those plays look like random ai that was made to be stupid...
Pete for someone who preaches love and says that he's trying to welcome new players, why do you talk trash and insult players who by your own admission are likely new and thus play bad?
In one regular poker game I used to attend, players talked so much brutal trash about each other. It was the most fun I've had playing poker, I loved those guys. I think Pete's just having fun.
I love Pete but I don’t think it’s good for the community when he’s being overly toxic toward an obviously brand new player who just downloaded Risk (red player).. My 8 years old daughter plays Risk and I would be shocked watching Pete insulting her like that just because she happened to not knowing how to play properly haha

KP trolling purple at the end, kind of dark humour 🤣 - love it!
This is dark humour? Don't let this king enter the dark side of instagram

That does make a lot of sense!

Sometimes it is!
Oh that ending. You big Meanie!
Start with a player like red and end with a player like purple. Great game start to finish!
They all literally just handed you the game on a gold platter lol 😂 they all did your bidding.
Isn't it lovely when that happens
Low ranks do that a lot and never see an opportunity to attack when one player is advantageous

The beginning of this was just nuts to watch. Black and Red seemed to just want to break everything
The I'm gonna break everything player is my favourite
