I built a quad motor, 20hp downhill MTB Ebike with crazy power!

- I forgot to mention in the video, top speed is about 80km/hr and range is about 30km.

Firmware: Shout out to Jaykup, who nicely provided unlimited firmware that works: forum.esk8.new...
This is incredible - the chain tensioner setup is so beautiful
Sick bike, maybe my favorite conversion I’ve seen so far!!! Good job man
Awesome! Thank you!
Absolutely wild and great build! I can't imagine the power, you may consider relabelling the video 4 surrons in one bike...
I hate Surrons haha. Mine just about destroyed me. Could never get it to work...
Love it. Great build!
Congratulations on the project, it was incredible! Why did you use 12s instead of the 20s that ESC supports? Did she go 80km/h or more? record a top speed video
Awesome! Looks fun to ride.
It's like nothing else. The short wheelbase makes it really scary. Provided you respect the throttle, it's really fun though.
You have created quite a cool machine. I have a surron but this is way cooler!
Thanks! Yes this has been much more successful than my failed Surron build which kept exploding...
Was it exploding bc it’s a SUrron or bc of the custom battery and controller setup ?
Very nice work 😊
Love ya work Dan
An australian in the snow 😯
I was worried that a 5 kw motor might be over kill, I guess I was wrong 😊
Awesome!!!
I'm guessing you synced them up with a CAN bus? Does the VESC Tool show four devices or two?
Provided all 4 ESCs are on the same firmware, motor calibration calibrates all four motors simultaneously over CANBus
The VESC shows four devices.
I plugged the throttle into the TFT display which was plugged into one of the CANBus ports and it ran all four motors at once.
If an engineer wants to do something outside the normal... So it's like this
If you wanted big hp without an over complicated mess, why didn't you use just one big motor?
How much torque is that?!
🐔RIP 🦃
what's the advantage of having multiple motors?
I'm not the OP but I think it's just the size and ability to place the motors more discreetly. With these small motors he's wrapped them around the frame instead of having a giant 20kw motor sticking out. It's the only advantage I can think of.
Shared torque, shared load and heat dissipation, many benefits here.
Swear i see this on instagram somewhere
Yea I posted it to instagram a bit
Or just buy a proper hub motor, actual battery (not that weak ass lipo stuff) and adequate controller, like a 85250 ubox 😁
Mid drive 250nm with integrated gearbox would be my dream
