It's what happens when you modulate a square wave with a quarter sine (or sometimes a half sine works too.) Using macros, you can change the level of the modulator to fake an LFO.
@@OMundodosRetroGames Something that sounds vaguely like a triangle wave and square waves are indeed possible, but I haven't found a way to make 25% or 12.5% pulse waves myself... At least not in a single channel anyway. Bottom line though; if you want to make NES music, don't use a YM2612, use a 2A03.
