Yes i was scammed once, most annoying, and had my FB hacked supposedly from Vietnam! That stopping place looked great.Nice to see George appear,good lad.
Water tanks should have a separate air vent which will alleviate the need to stop and wait for the air to escape. could you mirror your desil fill point to create your water fill point, if you made it a big enough diameter it might double up as the air vent.

For oil tanks you can get a tube that is placed through a hole in the top of the tank. A sender unit on top sends the status to a reciever inside the dwelling ! Can these be used for water ? I have never fitted them for anything other than oil tanks. How far the top protrudes, not sure from memory . I believe they are called Watchman gauge ! Worth a Google ! I'm an angler myself and whenever I'm fishing a river or canal, it's courtesy and respectful to let boaters have priority, they pay more for the use of the water than anglers do.
Re water tank. Look at out put from tank to water pump. Tee into that pipe, and extend to above water tank. Use it with hose to fill tank. While leaving existing gate valve open to release air and act ask vent, if you cannot find existing vent or fill point..The pump will work better with a vented system.. cheers

If you can get into the water storage tank or through the filler cap, try a death gauge there easy to pick up and setup with a gauge inside your boat so you always know what's going on. Once calibrated to you tank (full and empty) no problem ever again.
If I understand your water problem properly, isn't it an air-lock? When taking on water you should open a tap on your sink (for example) to allow the air to be pushed out, and when water comes through the tap turn it off. If I'm understanding you correctly. Cheers!

While a VPN can enhance your security by encrypting your internet connection and hiding your IP address, it doesn't directly prevent social media hacks. Strengthening your passwords and enabling two-factor authentication would make more sense and dont cost you a penny.

We are once again on our 3 month narrow boat trip and we actually moored behind you at anhyo this year (last year we moored in front of you at Marsten Doyle)..so disappointed that you weren't there but met the guy moored in front of you with his 3 kids who said he has been looking after your duck.. maybe next year we might actually get to meet you
If she/ he were my boat I’d remove both of the valves. I’d get a compression to npt adapter and a section of flex water line to connect a spigot to the copper line coming out of the floor. I’d install the spigot in a recessed external enclosure ( preferably brass) with a cover.
May, have just watched your blog and the issue with filling the water tank, the water tank should have a separate vent pipe which will be small and is often a hole through the hull ( often provides a home for spiders) the vent pipe is to stop a vacuum forming in the tank which could lead to the tank collapsing. When filling your tank, which is a very odd system, where is the hissing of air? Is it around the hose connection? Let me know I may be able to do a simple sketch to help, what is strange is the small size of the connection.
I feel like George needs a hooped gold earing, a bandana and a cutlass. It looks like you might be able to use whats there with your water pipe, there's a piece that screws on above the stopcock (tee hee) the hozlock adapter may well screw onto it, or the part that it's screwed onto will probably screw onto it. Stilsons will fetch that off in no time.

I’m guessing your water tank problem is because you are filling it through its breather hole. So either add a new breather hole or fill through the original fill hole if available.
A twenty minute VPN advert? A VPN gives ZERO protection against scammers, or re-using passwords. It simply makes your location appear different. That's all they do.

When you are not filling the water tank, do you usually leave that blue coloured valve you fill up through open? I ask this as it seems strange there is no breather (vent) on the water tank to stop a vacuum pulling as you pump water. maybe look for another valve on or near the water tank that is open ended, then in theory leave it open all the time. You can just undo the nut on the top side of that blue valve and then where your 90deg copper elbow is undo the nut closest to the short section of hose and then put that on top of the blue valve. Hows that for mansplaining? haha
another way you might be able to fill your water tank is through a tap. place a garden hose adapter on a tap and then back fill the system. leave the valve you are using now open.

I don’t know how big it is and it can last up to 3 weeks when it’s just me, but depends how frugal I’m being (ie doing clothes wash at my mums!)
