Great Value Vegas Meal | 32oz Prime Rib and the Best Fish & Chips in town! ...at Ellis Island

- During an unplanned and unexpected trip to Vegas, I got a chance to explore the strip a little more. Sometimes when travelling, a little bit of comfort food is in order...something crispy, greasy and warm. Some Fish & Chips would hit the spot and what better place grab this indulgent meal than at the iconic Gordon Ramsey's Fish & Chips over at the Link Promenade.
Perhaps my expectations were set a bit high and perhaps the cost was a bit pricy, it just didn't quite hit the spot. But very grateful to have met a great family who might have noticed my disappointment and offered a great suggestion for what they think is Vegas' Best Fish & Chips. It's just a 10-15 minute walk off the Vegas strip and offers incredible value at $13 with massive portions! Can this be true? I intended to find out.
A quick walk over to @ellisislandcasinobrewery4067 and I started to get excited looking at their 24hr menu with an offering of a great steak dinner for only $10! Preceding into the restaurant and ordering the Fish & Chips, I was certainly not disappointed! Huge portions as promised and crispy fish & chips were delivered... but it gets better! Upon talking to my server Tina, she suggested an off menu item called the Double-Cut Prime Rib! Coming in at a whopping 32oz portion with all trimmings and courses, it was a daunting task to finish the meal! Surprising, finishing the prime rib was not an issue; tender and juicy with just the perfect striations of fat and beef, the prime rib was devoured in record time and with gusto! Definitely worth the visit!

I lived in Vegas for a few years and Ellis Island was one of my favorite spots for food. The steak special is awesome, but couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu. Nice video showcasing a hideen gem off the strip.

Ellis Island has stood the test of time. Those who live here, we make our way down there about once a month for their specials.
I've enjoyed the massive fish n chips at Ellis Island, but couldn't finish all 3 pieces. You are amazing to be able to eat the fish and the dbl cut prime rib!! Thanks, Tim, for your honest reviews and I think I'll try the adult version of the root beer float next time. 🤗❤️

Been in Vegas 26 years and probably the first meal I had was the steak special at Ellis Island. Loved it. Ate there a few times and it was always great.

This video convinced me to try this place my first day before CES in Jan. The food really was incredible...fish portions were huge and service was fast. Will def eat here again the next time I'm in Vegas. Thanks Tim!
Would be a dream to go to CES, how did you like it? The village pub is always a great deal, great food and incredible prices.. one will never leave hungry from there
@@TimLeeLetsGo it’s pretty incredible and overwhelming, especially when the big tech giants come to show their ware. I was there in 2007 when Apple announced the iPhone (they weren’t part of CES). Despite all that new tech, everyone was talking about the iPhone. The power of Apple!

Glad you had the malt vinegar- it definitely complimented the fish and also don’t forget it makes the chips nice too. Only one other thing would be to add salt. Both salt and vinegar really elevates the food. These chips are not typically supposed to be crunchy or very crispy. This is a typical meal widely offered in my country- uk. Also your steak was stunning. You could tell by your cutting it was tender,so win win 🙌🙏🏻

I am so glad you voiced your honest opinion how expensive Fish & Chips at Gordon Ramsey price and it didn't live up in comparison to Fish & Chios at Ellis Island. Sometime these well known Chefs with their dishes are bunch of hype and charge you more.. It was nice someone suggested trying Fish & Chips at Ellis island their price is great and they looked delicious.. The Prime Rib might be expensive but it taste good and came with nice dude dishes. Especially if the Prime rib meat is tender. It was Awesome they offer two version Root beer flow and the grown up is nice way to end the meal... Thank you for taking us to another great food adventure in Vegas!!

Sad to hear about Ramsay's place not being that good. I would assume he's a perfectionist. But great that you got this great tip. $13 for all that fish is amazing 👏 and the prime rib Wow. Last time we traveled to Vegas we stayed at MGM and once we tried Ellis Island we ate there every day, the quality of food for the price was unbeatable and well worth the short walk. They have great breakfast to and a steak special
I totally agree! That prime rib is probably one of the best prepared ones I've had.. things can get pretty pricey on the strip and finding a place like this is great

Just came back from Vegas, and eat 3 meals at Ellis Island, 1st was right from the airport. Service always good even when busy. Both, the wife and I don't eat much, and their meals are large servings, so we share meals without question. 1 piece of fish was overcooked but replaced without question. Otherwise, we always recommend Ellis Island for good basic, and well valued meals.
I also recommend thier dark stout beer, very smooth, and thier house brewed Rootbeer is outstanding.
When in Vegas I eat most of my meals at Ellis Island. Best value hands down. Great food and service. Breakfast great, and spare ribs in the front of the casino also great. Convenient free parking garage.

You can save a bit of time in the Vegas heat by walking through Bally’s to their food court near the monorail. Walk out that door along Flamingo and even closer to Ellis Island. They brew all their own beers, and also have great food deals if you have their players card. Great vlog!

I heard nothing but great things about Ellis island! Unfortunately I didn’t get to visit while I was in this time but looking forward to going next year! Also one of the 2 places that I know of close to the strip that has $5 craps which is a huge hit
another great vlog Tim! Ellis Island Casino started out as the Village Pub (where you ate). It is a family-owned casino and I enjoy eating and gambling there as well. They have a Steak Breakfast for less than $10 (until 11 am), if I am not mistaken. So, if you are still in the area, that's another meal you can try. But honestly, that restaurant is one of the best values around. Continue to enjoy LV. Thanks for posting!

Wow!! I forgot about Ellis Island! This reminds me of good old Vegas. You know, back when casinos would offer some great food at a good price to get people to come and play? You don't see that anymore. I am definitely going to try this place when I come to Vegas next year.
Looks absolutely delicious. And the price was reasonable for what it is in Vegas too.
The fish and chips....im drooling up here in southwestern North Dakota...i love prime rib also but I never have understood the 'fat cap' everyone loves. That is Blubber...the stuff our Dad made me eat and I would gag. But the beef itself...french dips are a thing of paradise...beyond scrumptious

We've stayed at Ellis Island on four separate occasions and we've eaten in that restaurant as well. I've had the fish-n-chips and it's very good. Their breakfast is very good also.

Where on earth do you put all that food!!! I agree about GR's - but we went to the take out place - mushy fish and limp chips. I love watching you eat lol - you create the perfect bite - the beef the potato and even some gravy! I have seen you do it with other foods too and it fascinates me! Thanks for sharing!
