Hi, I just cleared neet pg 2023. I got 5,045 rank. I really like ophthalmology it’s one of my favourites theoretically. But I’m very poor in surgical skills. I even find it difficult to put sutures. Do you think that surgical skills can be improved during residency ?

Thank you so much ! I wanted to know one more thing .. Should we choose dnb Institutes over peripheral ms colleges as ...in peripheral cllgs subspecialities are less compared to dnb eye hospitals ?
@@arpit5369 I would recommend DNB course over peripheral college's MS course just for Ophthalmology. Because it is a machine oriented branch which are easily available at institutes. DNB Ophthalm institutes have good training protocol with good exposure.
Sanket sir, is it better to choose DNB Opthal than Ms in top govt college. As I was a ug in mmc chennai and the first years only do insurance work and they are thrown into the sea without proper guidance. Is DNB training more structured and proper? In terms of learning skills/cutting chance?
@@sanketdeshmukh1222 Sir I have never done any suturing before in my life.. will I be able to do suturing and microscopic surgery in ophtha ? Is it possible to learn it and grasp the skills if someone do MS ophthal from a govt clg.. kindly reply sir ..

It's not very hectic as the number of emergencies are limited. But the more hard work you do during your training days, the more you learn.
