Fuck man..Lemmy was my friend for 35 years..when I told him no show up in washington state.. he said pick a show Peter and I will make it happen for you. So he flew me down to my hometown L.A. for the last tour Bad Magic, on his dime.Just me and Lemm backstage again before the show like old times..He knew it was the last time, What a class act !! 100% the real deal !! Thanks Lemm !! Miss you man !!
Wow! That is excellent - and to have been friends with Lemmy! Please share some more recollections -- I, for one, would love to hear your stories and memories of Lemmy and Motorhead. Thanks for sharing this one.
I miss him, he was a great person. He was an honest, friendly, genuine person. One thing i really hated when Lemmy died was the reactions of the mainstream media, they just portrayed him as a drinking rocker, that was the only thing the media always said about him. But the truth is that he was way more than that, he truly was one of the most nice people on earth, he loved his fans and always took the time to talk to the fans. He kept on doing what he loved to do even when he was sick. He kept rocking until the end. I will forever miss him.
Well put my friend ~I never went for that "Lemmy is God" Cliche. I thought it was funny the first time I heard it (Airheads) but then it just got old. Every time I was fortunate enough to meet & chat w/him (which was EVERY time I saw them live...some times 2 or 3 times at one show) even tho I was "aw struck" I was always so amazed how gentle his voice was ~how gentle his demeanor was...& he always met me eye to eye. Actually he was the Most Human Person I've Ever Met
I know right??he either felt like this was his last album and he had to do this or the thing that killed him wasnt what they told us and was known long ago...
I don't care all that much for any of that cranked rock n roll sound (which they do to perfection), but these are gems. Absolutely world class material
Everytime I listen to this song, after Lemmy's passing, I cry like a child. The profound swan song of a magnificent human being. Why did you have to go man? I never met you, but it feels like you were with me the whole time. A part of me is dead with you. I hope we meet sometime, somewhere. Cheers Lem! May your beautiful soul rest in peace.
Me to, I have sometimes cried to this song when Lemmy was alive. It's very rare I cry to a Motorhead song Don't Let Daddy Kiss me and 1916 are the exceptions!!!
If there was ever a guy who claimed to be the real thing, it was Lemmy. Dressed in black from start to finish, with his hat and sunglasses, he was the metal version of Johnny cash, as he every bit the rebel to the end. He didn't care what others thought, or if metal was in or out, he went out there and did his own thing and let no one or nothing stop him. Three cheers for one of metal's true soldiers!
I miss Lemmy so much. Something happened the other day which brought tears to my eyes. My father was a huge fan of Hawkwind and a huge fan of Motörhead. I saw my first concert sitting on his shoulders. I remember my ears ringing for days afterwards and my mother being angry that my dad had taken me. My old man has dementia, fairly advanced now. I played this song to him because I wasn’t sure he knew it. It made him cry, not like a girl but he had tears rolling down his cheeks. I asked him what was wrong and he replied “Dont you know, I knew that man, we were great friends. He used to visit me and we’d drink whisky together’. Then he laughed and said we used to go on some right benders, no sleep at all”. Poor guy, he’s so confused. The words in the song struck me.’I know myself like no one else’, ‘you don’t have to say the same things twice’ no I don’t Dad, now I have to tell you fifty times. I guess I know he enjoyed the same thrills as Lemmy. It’s good to know somethings can still reach him even if he does confuse them.
be blessed Jack. By one God, or another God, or whatever u believe in. Good Words and I know exactly what u were talkin´about. Greez and Cheers from Germany
My old dad had dementia and flew away many years ago now. It is heartbreaking to watch them fade away before your eyes, but every now and then you catch a moment like this coming through the static and the noise. They are moments to treasure even in the inevitable grip of that horrible situation. Cheers to you Jack and your dad.
What can I say? His voice always gives me goosebums. Motörhead have never been known for their ballads. But that's when His voice always stood out. This ballad, the last one, that's the real Lemmy. He always had a soft side to Him, but many people just see the rocker. I started listening to Motörhead around 1982/83 and will until the end. One of the greatest bands ever. And the only rock'n'roller we had. There will never be another one. Thanks for everything.
"Till The End" more or less the lyrics Don't tell me what to do my friend You'll break more hearts than you can mend I know myself like no one else Nothing to defend My life is full of good advice And you don't have to tell me twice Living here in paradise Your rules that I should bend In my years my life has changed I can't turn back the time I can't tell you just what made me change All I know is who I am I'll never let you down The rest will give you trust until the end There ain't no rules to follow You can't predict tomorrow I know just who my friends are The rest can turn to stone Your memories are yours alone They're yours until you're dust and bones I know the things I'm looking for I know just what I want In my life the times have changed I'm still in a rush I don't want to hear your fairytales All I know is who I am I'll never let you down The rest will give you trust until the end UNTIL THE END In your life you'll be amazed About all you long to lose You can never live that life again But one thing you will never lose Is the singing in your head That will still be with you till the end
Motörhead changed me. Their music, their attitude, their...everything. They are one of the best bands in this motherfucking world. Motörhead revolutionized rock and metal music! Their dedication to music, fans, life on the road...is an ode to the soul of rock 'n' roll. They teached me so many things about life and they keep teaching me and I can just thank them for that! I can't stop listening to this great song. I cried when I heard it. Thank you, Lemmy and your crew! Thank you, because you will never let me down! "In your life you'll be amazed About all you long to lose You can't never live that life again. But one thing you will never lose Is the singing in your head That will still be with you till the end!"
Thank you Lemmy, for music, for love for your fans, for everything. If you hear thunders roaring, it is just Lemmy, checking his new bass amplifier. Rest in peace, legend!
Always miss Lemmy but all of the stories about who he was keeps him immortal and also a beautiful lesson for life if anyone gets a little lost. Be like Lemmy and just be the best human you can be, you.
My best friend and my own personal Lemmy died November 5th, of a heart attack. Totally unexpected and after years of being unhappy, lonely, disrespected, and depressed, he was finally happy. He introduced me to Motorhead. A few days after he passed away, I got this song stuck in my head, randomly. I wasn't able to attend his wake. We were in different states and I was recovering from surgery. David was 100% the only and last person I could trust, until the end.

RIP old man, we'll remember you forever. This is such a fitting song, could be played at your funeral. You will never be forgotten.....LONG LIVE MOTORHEAD!!! LONG LIVE LEMMY!!
This album was released the day before my mother died and just a few months before my other greatest hero died. Just about the worst time of my life. R.I.P Lemmy, I am glad I got to meet you brother, I will forever miss you and Motorhead. peace
+Minis3b Lemmy said he does not play heavy rock, nor metal. He started his gigs saying: We are The Motörhead and we play Rock 'n Roll. He liked punk bands as they started at the same time as he did with Motörhead, and his music was kinda mix of punk and rock 'n roll, except that he wanted to play it loud and fast. :) 37 years ago I was 15, and had a chance to spend a weekend with the band. I've never stopped loving him as he was a wonderful man and rocker. He was the biggest man in this business. But he also said: business sucks. He made music he liked himself and if someone else liked that too, it was just bonus to him.
Aikku Lootus "Metal" is used here as a common term to describe 'heavy' & 'hard' music dude, just say rip like eveyone else and keep listening to his amazing music
Minis3b Well, boy... I met Lemmy in 1979 and have been listening to him and his music ever since. To me Motörhead has been and will be Rock 'n Roll band, you can stick your metal where sun don't shine. And I'm not your dude, I'm not american. Thank Gods for that.
Almost two years later and I still feel pain in my heart knowing Lemmy's gone and my favorite band of all time is no more.. R.I.P.. You were truly a legend.. Motörhead was truly a legendary band.. I hope you're rocking out with the best, where ever you are, Lemmy..
I know, We are supposed to look tough and everything. But i still can't hear this song without crying. Thank you for everything Lem! There will never be no one else like you!
Why should we look tough? It's life we are living, not polishing style. Not many people have touched me the way Lemmy did since 1979, I first met him and the band. So kind and lovely people, especially Lemmy and Philty Animal. Here I am again, almost a year later when we had to let him go. He'll be missed. And that's why his records have been played again and again. I probable come here next year again. RIP Lemmy ♥
This guy was it. Rock. And I mean Rock, with no frills. Nobody epitomized Rock like Lemmy. Everybody will have their own preference and that's fine, but for me Lemmy gave his fans the raw rock they wanted. Motorhead were pure, they didn't do shit, they were full on like it should be. Listen to the words of this tune - he knew something and he wouldn't have done it all any differently, enough said. This isn't Motorhead's best song at all (in my opinion) but it was done for a purpose and the lyrics are perfect now that he's not here. There will never be anybody like him.
I couldn't stop singing this while I was getting tattooed. Completely worth it,; I went to one of their shows and I had so much fun... I will always remember that day. Thank you Motörhead, thank you Lemmy.
The day he died, i read the news, poured a glass of whiskey to salute him, and hit shuffle on motorhead spotify. This is the song that played and it felt like such a sign that the news was real. We lost a god among men.
Lemmy died and I never listen to his music befor, and since his death I bought every record and 15 t shirts and I listen to his music almost every day, he died and I am become a fan for life...
"I remember the time before rock" That is the most impactul thing i ever heard lemmy say. It really makes you realize how long he was developing the rock scene and how impactful he was. May he rest in peace.
A wonderful song, Lemmy kept it real, you can feel that in his words and music. This song is a gift. Thank you Lemmy and thank you Motörhead, I’ll always be listening.
Don't tell me what to do my friend You'll break more hearts than you can mend I know myself like no one else Nothing to defend My life is full of good advice And you don't have to tell me twice Living here in paradise No rules that I should bend In my years my life has changed I can't turn back the time I can tell you just what made me change All I know is who I am I'll never let you down The last one you can trust until the end There ain't no rules to follow You can't predict tomorrow I know just who my friends are The rest can turn to stone Your memories are yours alone They're yours until your dust and bones I know the things I'm looking for I know just what I want In my life the times have changed I'm still the man I was I don't want to hear your fairy tales All I know is who I am I'll never let you down The last one you can trust until the end Until the end Go In your life you'll be amazed at all the love you lose You can't never live that life again The one thing you will never lose Is the singing in your head That will still be with you until the end
i Cried like little boy.... R.I.P Lemmy.... R.I.P Phillty Taylor And thanks to Phill Campbell and Mickey Dee for playing in one of the loudest and biggest band in music history... their career keppin going.... MOTORHEAD FOREVER.....
Snakes Kraz Lemmy died on my 19th birthday, i know how you feel, i live in México, and Demember 28th is a day when people make jokes, when i read than Lemmy dies i just don't belive it, it was a very sad birthday
He died the week or 2nd before mine. I remember it was nighttime and i was just goofing around on video games. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I know its not the same as it being on the day of. But I thought id share that. I was on christmas break which ran till the day after my birthday. It sucked. I listened to motorhead the rest of the break. It gave this album more meaning thats for sure.
we love you Lemmy wherever you are. I didn't know about you when you were alive but I am grateful for the songs you made. you were the most humble guy and most down to the earth person I know this just by watching your interviews. Thank you, Lemmy. The mainstream media portrayed you as a heavy drinker rockstar but we who know you well know that you are the most Intellectual guy in this field. REST IN POWERLEMMY!!!!
RIP Lemmy.
This album was released on my 19th birthday, and I sadly didn't discover it until a couple years later, this was the song that got me. I love Motörhead they've gotten me through some shit.
This song feels like his last, the final work from the guy who inherited Elvis's title of the king of rock n roll. I miss Lem, but his music will live forever, as will his favourite drink. Thanks, Lem
Thanks Lemmy Don't tell me what to do my friend You'll break more hearts than you can mend I know myself like no one else nothing to defend My life is full of good advice and you don't have to tell me twice living here in paradise no rules that I should bend In my years my life has changed I can't turn back the time I can tell you just what made me change All I know is who I am I'll never let you down The last one you can trust until the end There ain't no rules to follow You can't predict tomorrow I know just who my friends are The rest can turn to stone Your memories are yours alone They're yours until your dust and bones I know the things I'm looking for I know just what I want In my life the times have changed I'm still the man I was I don't want to hear your fairytales All I know is who I am I'll never let you down The last one you can trust until the end Until the end Go In your life you'll be amazed at all the love you lose You can't never live that life again The one thing you will never lose is the singing in your head That will still be with you until the end
What a brilliant, beautiful cut. Admittedly, I didn't venture out of the old records to check out Bad Magic in its entirety until Lemmy's passing. Listening to this now stirs up deep emotions. Great lyrics - great voice. What a man. You will be remembered for a long, long time..
Saudades e boas lembranças enquanto eu viver.
Motörheads greatest hits like Ace of Spades or Overkill are well known. But with this one Lemmy went into Eternity. It's like he just prepared himself for the big journey.
The year was 1985 and I remember seeing them live. What an incredible concert by an incredible band. M ears were ringing for a whole week! RIP Lemmy. You will always be missed 🙏🏽🤘🏼
This song speaks to me on so many levels. Drunk or sober, this song never lose it meaning. The last part of the song has so much truth behind. One of the greatest ever.
so sad. so goddamn sad. the gods broke the mold whem they made this man. born to lose, live to win. gone to soon, gone but NEVER forgotten. many hails to one hell of a man...
He was a good man.. Ian never hurt nobody. A lot of people respect him and he was a great role model, not for his dress style.. but the way he conducted himself around other people.. he seemed to have a lot of respect and time for people and he had a lot of common sense, a really good decent bloke.
The final album...
The final song...
The final goodbye...
We will miss you Lemmy.
😥
The final fight. He was a Real warrior
I remember Lemmy form my baby sitters house in the early 90's. And Venom. BATHORAY! COUNTESS!

What an amazing song. Feels like Lemmy's way of saying goodbye to all his fans.

123TauruZ321 I thought the same.
yes I felt like he was messaging me from heaven and sorry im a bit drunk but that is just for the fact that I'm drinking for Lemmys memory✌✌✌
PasKa PoJu I'd rather have it that way than having people listening to some idiot reading from the bible. At least Lemmy's lyrics have some wisdom!!
Motörhead's ballads are really underrated

"Till The End" more or less the lyrics
Don't tell me what to do my friend
You'll break more hearts than you can mend
I know myself like no one else
Nothing to defend
My life is full of good advice
And you don't have to tell me twice
Living here in paradise
Your rules that I should bend
In my years my life has changed
I can't turn back the time
I can't tell you just what made me change
All I know is who I am
I'll never let you down
The rest will give you trust until the end
There ain't no rules to follow
You can't predict tomorrow
I know just who my friends are
The rest can turn to stone
Your memories are yours alone
They're yours until you're dust and bones
I know the things I'm looking for
I know just what I want
In my life the times have changed
I'm still in a rush
I don't want to hear your fairytales
All I know is who I am
I'll never let you down
The rest will give you trust until the end
UNTIL THE END
In your life you'll be amazed
About all you long to lose
You can never live that life again
But one thing you will never lose
Is the singing in your head
That will still be with you till the end
There"s a little mistake: not "singing" but "signig"
sorry signing of course
+Андрей О signing? Not singing?
I think the last line in the chorus is 'the last one you can trust'.
I think it's "living here in paradise, no rules that I should bend"
I have never been much of a Motörhead fan but damn this song with Lemmy's voice just brought tears to my eyes, i dont even know why. RIP, rock on.

This song hit me like a train now that he is gone.
RIP Lemmy
This is beautiful... Lemmy's soul is living for ever in this song. R.I.P
When the bass player is the coolest guy in the band
When the bass player IS the band :D
R.I.P. Lemmy!!!
A Metal hero died, but music will rise forever.
Thank you for everything you've done. RIP
37 years ago I was 15, and had a chance to spend a weekend with the band.
Minis3b
Well, boy... I met Lemmy in 1979 and have been listening to him and his music ever since. To me Motörhead has been and will be Rock 'n Roll band, you can stick your metal where sun don't shine.
And I'm not your dude, I'm not american. Thank Gods for that.
Dude, sacrilege there, Lemmy never played any metal!!!
Aikku Lootus why are you so hostile? the dude was being friendly and also what is so wrong with the heavy metal label?
lemmy still rules... god bless and have his soul rest in peace
Lemmy ....... The True King of Rock n Roll .....R.I.P.
Hvala ti Lemmy za SVE! Počivaj u miru svetska legendo.🙏♠️❤️
What a great song... simply beautiful.
Almost two years later and I still feel pain in my heart knowing Lemmy's gone and my favorite band of all time is no more.. R.I.P.. You were truly a legend.. Motörhead was truly a legendary band.. I hope you're rocking out with the best, where ever you are, Lemmy..
Amongst all the lyrics and tunes existing - and to come - this is the ultimate for me. Period.
A legendary human, he passed away leaving those who understood him.
RIP Lemmy ♥
Your not alone sir
You can be tough and deep at the same time. Embrace your emotions, they're the thing that make you human.
Lemmy died and I never listen to his music befor, and since his death I bought every record and 15 t shirts and I
listen to his music almost every day, he died and I am become a fan for life...
This song is perfect.
indeed it is perfect sir
"I remember the time before rock" That is the most impactul thing i ever heard lemmy say. It really makes you realize how long he was developing the rock scene and how impactful he was. May he rest in peace.
We will never lose his singing in our heads as he will be with us till the end - We love you Lemmy!
I never went to his shows, but i like his music since i was 9 years. Now i'm 18 and i keep listening.
( R.I.P Lemmy )
Beautiful song.
You really have to give Phil Campell credits for that solo. Really hits the mood and feel of the song. Fantastic one
A wonderful song, Lemmy kept it real, you can feel that in his words and music. This song is a gift. Thank you Lemmy and thank you Motörhead, I’ll always be listening.
Holy shit... What a fucking good sound.
R.I.P Lemmy .
You were the best of them all!
Rest in Piece and play loud.
You'll be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Love you!
Don't tell me what to do my friend
You'll break more hearts than you can mend
I know myself like no one else
Nothing to defend
My life is full of good advice
And you don't have to tell me twice
Living here in paradise
No rules that I should bend
In my years my life has changed
I can't turn back the time
I can tell you just what made me change
All I know is who I am
I'll never let you down
The last one you can trust until the end
There ain't no rules to follow
You can't predict tomorrow
I know just who my friends are
The rest can turn to stone
Your memories are yours alone
They're yours until your dust and bones
I know the things I'm looking for
I know just what I want
In my life the times have changed
I'm still the man I was
I don't want to hear your fairy tales
All I know is who I am
I'll never let you down
The last one you can trust until the end
Until the end
Go
In your life you'll be amazed at all the love you lose
You can't never live that life again
The one thing you will never lose
Is the singing in your head
That will still be with you until the end
One of Rock n Rolls finest, RIP Lemmy you were a one of a kind \m/
Der Letzte seiner Art,
der Letzte mit Format.

Every once in a while I'll sit there and have a shot in his honour
Amen!!!!
I just had one. Cheers to Lemmy and Happy BirthdEH from Canada.

we love you Lemmy wherever you are.
I love Motörhead they've gotten me through some shit.
you´re proof that this band has united generations and still does...I´m 67y of age...
I'll never forget you Lemmy. Ever. Thanks for the music.
This song feels like his last, the final work from the guy who inherited Elvis's title of the king of rock n roll. I miss Lem, but his music will live forever, as will his favourite drink. Thanks, Lem
We miss you. R.I.P. Lemmy

The man knew he was going...left us all with a last message. R.I.P God.
He knew he was on his way out. This was his swan song.
Visited forest lawn cemetery in LA last year to pay respects to Lemmys resting place...Miss him and Motorhead every day, they were rock'n'roll......
What a great party they have tonight! Lemmy, Phil and Kelly Johnson. For Lemmy, cheers!
+Driiveri Don't forget The Beatles as it was his fave band, especially he loved John Lennon. They shared same kind of sense of humour.
+Driiveri Considering Phil and Wurzel are also there... Motorhead will be already preparing a tour up there...
77elvistheking
They could be house band, too ;)
+Aikku Lootus Well, the Lemmy/Kelly thing, Philty did never play with Headgirl, so they will have to wait for Denise....
Eddie too now..
Playing this LOUD , Epic master of rock.
Fino all ultimo dei suoi giorni lemmy ha creduto nel rock ed e stato un vero ribelle lemmy riposa in pace rock n roll noise and pollution
Saudades e boas lembranças enquanto eu viver.
One year already... we miss you old friend... :(
Miss you every single day, Lemmy.
7 years... today...
Father of rock'n roll... Rest in peace.
This one of my favorite songs he was a great writer
I still listening to this masterpiece in 2024 HERE FROM GREECE🇬🇷
I'm crying right now, you never let me down Lemmy
The greatest band of ever "Motörhead", you will always be alive. RIP Lemmy Kilmister
Normally I’d say rip, but lemmy never wanted anyone to mourn his passing, so rock on for all time, wherever you are.
