Bridge City Tools are the finest designed tools on the market. In accuracy they are = to any Red Tool one can buy. Customer support is TOP TIER. BCT are incredibly special tools that are loaded with features that are easily understood and mastered. Working with them is a dream. The sale that had thru December was awesome! I only can afford to buy my tools on sale. I bought 6 tools and everyone is a show piece. They are the Rolex of any tool made.
On the MT-1 the folding piece on the side with the lock is a saddle square not a dovetail marker. It's for transferring lines around a corner without moving the tool.
About tools made in China. Fact! I try to buy made in the USA whenever possible. China knows that they have fallen short in the quality of workmanship in pretty much everything they manufacture. I also know this for a fact…. China is really upping their game in providing higher quality tooling. The American owners of these companies are demanding it. Please try HARD to keep your money in the USA! American made tools traditionally cost more but are worth every penny you spend. MADE IN THE USA is the best and always will be the best! Be prepared to pay for it!

As depressing as it is, China is actually one of the best places for the newer batteries...if the companies do their due diligence
