Winter Van life Serbia. South to North. Nis, Belgrade, Novi Sad Pt 7

We drove quickly through Macedonia and made our way into Serbia, our first time there and so we didn't know what to expect, but we had been in the Balkans for awhile so had an idea, and yet Serbia was a big surprise! Everything seemed a little bit more modern and functional than its neighbors, more akin to Romania. It has tons of history and it preserved really well.
The landscapes are beautiful and not strewn with rubbish, the monasteries are very impressive, especially the main one in Belgrade with its incredible mosaics. We had an amazing spa at a hot spring hot spot near Nis, and explored various medieval castles and locations through the country, it was all very impressive and one of our favorite surprises out here in the east.
In all we spent about 2 weeks in Serbia, it was bloody cold, but full of interesting sites to see, we could definitely see more, maybe in winter though...
