Sir echelon form mein only row operation hi hota hai but main ek example mein dekha hai ki usme pahal operation column ka hai uske baad sabhi row operation hai to vah sahi hai ki nahi
Echelon form mein dono ka use kyu nahi karte hai

SIR I HAVE A DOUBT ..IN THE LAST TRANSFORMATION CAN'T WE DO R2-> R2+ R3 AND R3-> R2+ R3 AT THE SAME time ..this would result in rank 1 ..is it wrong if we do this ...(what you have told about the rank of a matrix..according to it this will be wrong because row 2 has a unique data at last after eliminating row 3 )
