How can I practice jazz vocabulary?
In this video, I show you a great way to practice vocabulary in a super targeted way.
It has really worked for me and if practiced properly could also work for anyone else too!
In fact you can use almost any tiny chunk of vocabulary that resonates with you and apply it in this manner.
If you practice this way, you will stand much more of a chance in hearing it when actually playing a solo!
It has to go in before it can come out! Perfect practice = perfect progress remember!
Of course I am not saying this is an overnight hack but at least you will be practicing super authentic vocabulary over the changes to a standard you may want to learn!
Let me know in the comments what you think please.

Great material and this is super focused and just happens to be covering a piece of vocabulary that I need to exploit more in my solos. Extremely useful.

Hello Darren, like your input very much! Can I ask a question? @ 3:02 you say we’re in the key of Eb major. With one b , aren’t we in F major?

Key centre had changed. A lot of jazz standards move through various key centres.
