    That was the best recording of speakers playing I’ve ever heard on UA-cam. Obviously, it’s only a recording, but I definitely felt like the detail and separation of the transducers was captured really well.

    Wow, even with youtubes lossy audio compression, they still sound beautiful, how are they so far? You should make a follow up now that its been 6 months, I'd enoy seeing that, also what mic did you use?

      @MiDnYTe25 4 роки тому +3

      The video only sounds as good as your speakers, room and the camera's mic. It's not really close to a representation of the real thing.

      Well, the Zoom H6 is one of the best field recorders. So I guess it mainly depends on your speakers. I have the same genelec models and it has really impressive sound quality. Comparable with Elac, perhaps a bit warm in sound, but in a good way. Very impressive sound power for this small form factor, very heavy for this size. High build quality. I guess I’ll get a second one and use them as monitor speakers.

      Mind telling us the reason?
      frequency response too much like a living room speaker?
      They should be pretty ideal for clarity, with the ribbon tweeters and a 3.5" woofer that should be fast and accurate and free of wobble...?

    • @wurlinnawurl

      I think the Adams are better honestly.

    finally i understand why ppl choose Genelec ! my next studio monitor buy will be Genelec 100%, what sub from genelec is good and have a good price in your opinion ? :)

    • @gregasajn698
      @gregasajn698 Рік тому +1

      Genelec subs are expensive for home use UNLESS you want GLM calibration (which I want) or extreme durability. If you just want spl and to go low than they are VERY expensive for what they offer. Btw I'm just in process of buying 8330 with sub 7350.

    And your entire metal shelf turns into a sound emitter...
    rubber foam Insulation needed.

    • @ivokoopuu6488
      @ivokoopuu6488 3 роки тому

      In this case the shelf gives a bit more weight to the bass frequencies by expanding vibrating surface area and yes it will not sound as accurate but maybe more fun in some cases? :)

    • @theones261

      yes it is loud enough, 25 watts treble and 25watts subwoofer with very tight bass..total 50 watts..by far the best i have tried.

    • @chkldflp
      @chkldflp 3 роки тому

      you are half right, has all the videos about speakers, theres no way to make a 100% judge, they are only references (if you make a recording just like this, using a zoom h6, in that room, for a bad sounding pair of little speakers and compare in that with the genelecs, you can feel the diference, you can judge. But again, its just a reference in a specific context.

      @@falsefreedom1713 the thing is with genelecs, they will let you push them over their capability and it will damage them if done over and over again for a long period of time... then the protection will come on IN EXTREME CASES.
      Play them loud at times but not MAX its not there to be used as MAX.
      hear them distort, put them back a notch and a tad more and there you go.

      @jariminne 4 роки тому

    • @Filete
      @Filete 4 роки тому

      Obviously is not using for any music professional work, otherwise it would not mount upside down.
      There's a reason why speakers are build with the tweeter on top.

    • @Darthozzan13
      @Darthozzan13 Рік тому +2

      @@Filete Yes, so that when you have them on a stand or on a desk the tweeter will be around ear level. If they are mounted on a shelf, such as in this video, they should be inverted like this so the tweeter is at ear level. The lower frequencies that come from the 3" woofer are not as directional or sensitive to location as the tweeter so this should be better
