Over the last few years, Allison has risen to the position of one of the most accomplished outdoor boulderers in the world having climbed up to V14, which is also on top of a track record of multiple competition podiums for indoor competition climbing. On top of this, she’s someone who has a prolific social media presence, seamlessly connecting between content that’s both light-hearted and serious, but always with such an accessible style. We wanted to get her back on the podcast to talk about all things performance, training and bouldering focused. TRY OUR FREE ASSESSMENTS 💪

To pull 380 pounds with one arm is insane. Would not have thought that this is possible.
Also interesting, that it's way easier for her to pull with a straight arm instead of a bend arm. I have long arms myself but am clearly stronger in the 45 degrees lock off position

Maybe it depends on the measurement setup? With straight arms + immobilized waist, you could be solely engaging other muscles (bigger back muscles) without having the biceps act as a bottleneck in the chain?

Climbers with a strong upper body and weak fingers be like "If only I could hold onto that hold, I would send!😃" Climbers with strong fingers and a weak upper body be like "If only I could reach that stupid hold, I might send.🤔"

what is the actual point of all these new pb's at this point? just hanging for the sake of hanging? seems a bit pointless. at this point it's clearly not the limiting factor
