UNTIL NEXT TIME, Byee 💛
I don't know for American kids but here in europe we growing up with them and especially me who i have their original collectable 1st ever vinyl album ........it's just traveling you in one totally different world ........that's why it was the band which made a whole new music category the famous "NEW AGE" .......and a lot of band tried it but only 2 of them succeed to get close to ENIGMA ......the ERA and the GREGORIAN.............CHECK THEM OUT!!
I'm from India, when i was a kid my mom told me enigma was satanic lol
It was a phenomenon in 1990 when this record came out. My dad bought this album on cassette.
Was a hit everywhere in Europe. Remember being 5 and you couldn't go anywhere not hearing this
This was also huge in Australia and I still have the album. Loved it then and still do!! I had 2 stillborn babies at this time and it helped me grieve for them. ♥️
@@jeffstevanspaul1995 da hatte Sie keine Ahnung von Enigma und dem Schöpfer Michael Cretu ... Enigma ist legendär und hat Latein wieder aus dem Taufe geholt ...
Enigna has so many wonderful songs!!!! "Return to Innocense", "The Child in Us", "Gooodbye Milkyway", "Sitting on the Moon", "The Dream if the Dolphin", "Gravity of Love", "Why!", "J'Tame Till My Dying Day", "Language of Sound", "Push the Limits", "Sikence Must Be Heard", "Age of Loneliness -Carly's Song", and so many more. Enigma is unique and there is no one else like them. Michael Cretu the driving force of Enigma writes sone BEUATIFUL music.
Enigma is a German musical project - mostly electronic music w/ abstract vocalizations... Enigma debuted in 1990 and were commercially successful throughout the 90's, selling 70 million records worldwide... Enigma's last record was in 2016.
*Patiently waiting on Enigma 9* 🤞🏽
I know Michael Cretu and Sandra, how have I never heard that Michael created it and Sandra sang for it? Whaaat
@@Fuerwahrhalunke
Mr.&Mrs Difang's vocals being sampled (without authorisation) by Enigma in their track 'Return to Innocence'.
It takes 3 years for Mr.Difang win this lawsuit. Mr.& Mrs. Difang is Taiwan indigenous couple.
michael cretu is a genius composer👍👍👍
He was the husband of Sandra (Italo Disco artist). He wrote a lot of songs for her and he also had his own project as well and Enigma was one of them.
It's a shakuhachi flute. So peaceful.
Great to see the younger generation discover this band which I followed since 1990
Love your reactions and comments ❤
Ok, girl. To let you know, I often have Enigma music on in the background when I write and draw. As a recently retired 65 year old black man with time to finally pursue my lifelong interests, this music takes me to a place where I freely create and wonder.
Here is the perfect Enigma trifecta of sound from the soundscape of sonic delirium.
From the album Le Roi Est Mort, Viva Le Roi ! These 3 tracks are fantastic. Number 3, THIRD OF ITS KIND, Number 4, BEYOND THE INVISIBLE, and Number 5, WHY !
If you can manage to play all three tracks together, you will be truly amazed. If not, tracks 3 and 4 work well enough together. And listen to 5 on its own. There is a video for BEYOND THE INVISIBLE, but to listen to them combined is the best experience. Even if you have to put it on your Patron. Love you and your channel. I've been following all summer. Keep going.
My favourite one from 3rd album is TNT For The brain...catchy as hell!
This song was big back in the day. We used to play this before we went to the clubs. Sensual, spiritual, yet danceable.
LOVE Enigma. Some of the most creative amalgamation of sound. Creative and easy to enjoy.
The best chill-out music of the 90’s.
If you think this was good “Return To Innocence” (by Enigma) will blow your mind.
I would've mentioned Return To Innocence as well. You were quicker lol. It's definitely the go-to song by Enigma
This is much better! Return To Innocence is overrated...
@@Summon256I agree brother .....Sadenes is just in another level ......Sadenes, Mea Culpa & Principles Of Lust
Gregorian chant puts this out of the park.
This was the best dance song in all of the swankiest clubs back in the 90's.
Well that's what makes this song so beautifully unique. When this song first came out, you see, everyone liked it! Every race loved it, the young and old we're listening to it. The WORLD! was listening to that song when it came out. To see that song go world wide, was amazing; I have yet to witness another song loved by all worldwide.
The voice of Enigma is Sandra Cretu ❤
Just needs to be pointed out that the title of this song isn't Sadness, it's Sadeness, which is a play on the Marquis de Sade.
This is a very cool song ... first heard it on a Chapelle Skit - Things Look Better in Slow Motion - I had to do research to find it and I have loved it from the moment I heard it. Glad you loved it.
Not sure if you've ever heard 'Silence' by Delerium (feat. Sarah McLachlan) before but it's definitely worth a listen.
Same as MysticProductions i heard this tune in 1990 as a 11yr boy..and fell in love straightaway and still do...this tune is a CLASSIC...

Another great reaction Mia love enigma the monks chanting in the background and the flute does have a very calming and peaceful feeling can't wait for another great reaction
Thank You For Pointing Out The Monks Chanting , I Couldn't Quite Put My Finger On That Sound . Yes , I Couldn't Agree w You More !! Love Your Feedback Jason , I Appreciate You ♡

I remember this song. It was like a new sound coming out at the time. It does sort of sound like Soul II Soul songs Back To Life, and Keep On Movin'. Great reaction as usual Mia!❤
Enigma are just incredibly amazing

Principles of lust, Mea Culpa and Age of Loneliness (Carly’s Song) are my faves. My dad was obsessed with Enigma and I’m so glad he exposed me to them ♡
I don't know anything about Enigma , so I can't really comment . However this is another type of music I would have to be in a certain type of mood to listen to! Congratulations on 22.6K and enjoyed your little moment towards the end!🙂
That Makes Perfect Sense Paul , I Know Exactly What You Mean . And Yessss Lol I Tried To Spice It Up At The End 😂 Thank You For Your Feedback , You Are Greatly Appreciated ♡

My parents would play this for me when I was little, one of those groups I keep going back to every once in a while when emotions tend to overwhelm. I’m sure you’d knock out kids with it today still.
A stand out track in this genre...
One of the catchiest songs of the nineties like no other.

Enigma - mea culpa
You'll love it
That was one of those songs the name didn't ring a bell, but when I heard it I was like OH! THAT one. Great song!
Very sensual song. I had this as my ringtone wake up alarm on my phone for over 2 years these past few years.
Mea culpa!
Sadeness (Part I) - a song and debut single of the Enigma project from 1990. It was created at the very beginning of the project's activity. The authors of the song are: Michael Cretu and Fabrice Jean Roger Cuitad (hiding under the pseudonym David Fairstein). The producers were Michael Cretu and Frank Peterson. A sequel to this song, "Sadeness (Part II)", featuring Indonesian singer Anggun Cipta Sasmi, appeared on the 2016 album "The Fall of a Rebel Angel". In 24 countries, this song was number 1 on the charts. In the United States, the song took 5th place on the Billboard Hot 100 and 1st place on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.
Return to innocence by Enigma next😁
To whom this may concern all of us is family .we care for Doittmiaaaa,Doittmeegee,or whatever. We all love her individually. That means differently. No matter what !!
Gregorian medieval antiphon Cum angelis with a fragment of Psalm 24 (23) intended for Palm Sunday used in Sadeness
The piece is based on Gregorian chant and rhythmic drum beats. It is performed in Latin and French. The solo backing track is played on the pan flute.
This song always reminds me of that Dave Chappelle skit, everything is cool in slow-motion.
Return to Innocence
Mia this was a unique sound when it came out, I was a little kid dancing in my dungarees…😂(wonder how many people get that) but way to look out for our friend(Antione from South Korea 🇰🇷) great reaction Mia 🙏🏻❤️

@@paulr6881 But i haven't post any links on the comment section though. But finally i get to see my comment now that i posted and it is indeed weird.
Sadeness - It is a sensual track based around "questioning" the sexual desires of Marquis de Sade; hence the German release name of "Sadeness", as opposed to the English word of "Sadness" used in the UK release.
Regarding Enigma, one special part of their albums are that each song is connected, the composing is basically telling a story or try to take you on an emotional journey.
Although Sadeness is one of Enigma's greatest hits, I'd say that my favourite album is their latest album: The Fall of a Rebel Angel.
Each song in that album has its own great moments, they intertwine between each other as well as from previous albums and is a great addition to Enigmas discography.
If you ever have the time, listen to the entire album from start to finish, and after that, you could also listen to "The story" of that album.
The drumbeat you associate with Soul 2 Soul is actually from James Brown's song, Funky President. It was very popular in the late 80's and I can name at least 5 other songs off the top of my head that used it.
Back to Life - Soul 2 Soul
Justify My Love - Madonna
Eric B. is President - Eric B. and Rakim
Groove Me - Guy
Fuck tha Police - N.W.A.
no google look-up, this is my music as a teenager.....
As a former Catholic, this music was part of my religious heritage. This was music that was from the time of the Middle Ages (and earlier) sung by Monks. It is haunting and in this particular song, erotic. There are others who will be able to go into great lengths about its meaning but it I believe it might include the Marquis de Sade hence Sadeness.
All the Enigma Albums are amazing to check them ALL OUT!
**Also, the group DEEP FOREST, album one,"Deep Forest", is just as amazing! 1. Sweet Lullaby, 2. Sweet Lullaby Ambient Mix, and 3. Night Bird are my top three and I love their first album entirely!!! Reminds me of Avatar!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi Mia. Great reaction. This is my first time hearing Enigma. The music was very cool. Have you heard of Dido? "Life for Rent" and "White Flag" Dido music is uplifting and smooth. You'll definitely like these two songs. Love ya ❤️
Kudos for catching the similarities to that beat. 1:40
It was a lot of House Party beats just sped up or slowed down depending on the vibe (sway step stop).
Perfect
Mea Culpa is even better.
Magic music really,it was the best of it's kind and people who can feel it's vibes will get positive energy.
love the reaction. love Enigma. you may wanna try "return to innocence" or "amen" or "the eyes of truth" cheers :)
Eyes of truth
you should listen to it with a slight buzz, lights off and volume turned up and laying on the bed!
The men's chorus you hear singing, in Latin, is a group called "Gregorian, Masters of Chant".
They are well worth checking out, their music is wonderful!
But do continue on with Enigma, they have a lot of good stuff and unusual... how often do you hear a song sung in both French and Latin..?
I particularly like "TNT for the Brain and " and "Beyond the Invisible", by this group.
my first time.... F A K E
I remember this song from high school years, but when I hear it now it makes me think of Chapelle show. 😂
Tried to revise my latest comment here,as I wrote something I wanted to change to that, but couldnt find my initial comment here..anyway,this song was a good song AND video to do a reaction on.
you love their song "return to the innocence"
I always call it Sadness, but I think it is pronounced Sade -ness after marquis de Sade. (It is a sensual track based around "questioning" the sexual desires of Marquis de Sade;)
That's a flute ,south America and synth
Thank You For Your Clarification Adrian , I Wasn’t Too Sure . Wow , Amazing !
@@DoIttMiaaaa enigma is one of my favorite groups and there is much to say ,Michael Cretu managed also 80 s singer Sandra , also collaborated with Frank farian who managed bony m and Giorgio moroder ,famous instrumentalist and producer ,enigma have many hits ,like return to innocence
omg ! WHOS PLAYING THAT SAX!!!!!
Have you ever heard of the "stylistics".you will cry when you hear them.beautiful love songs in falsetto sounding a little like the "beegees".you will love them.guarenteed.😅
The follow up single The Principles Of Lust from the same album is also very good-sounds almost the same, but a lot more heavy breathing. They actually got sued by the Gregorian Monks whose chants they took from an album without permission & so they ended up having to pay large damages as this sold a lot of copies worldwide-number one here in the UK & many other countries. Then they moved on to doing world music-but it was nowhere near as good.

Yes this music is phenomenal!
You should also listen to these ff music's:
1. Return to Innocence by Enigma
2. Once in a Lifetime by The Gregorians
So addictive
I love your "Relam of Consciousness" reference! What you're listening to is called the New Age genre. I would also suggest the music genre Ambient House. I have been rocking with Enigma since I was 14 years old. I am now 42 years old is these two genres is were I live musically. This music also incorporates the different vibration frequencies that one can use for meditation. I have so many favorite Enigma tracks. "Traces of Light and Weight" is my go to when I need to center myself. You should also check out "Bjork." Peace and Blessings.
Check out enigma return to innocence
Principles of Lust please!
There’s a second part to it
The song name is not Sadness. Its Sadeness named after some french writer named Marquis De Sade who had like sadistic sexual preferences and advocated total freedom of life. While the song is absolute awesomeness it was originated of this ideas which it was criticized for. Other than that its a banger.
Sadeness bring me on memories, back youth somwhere 90's, on a shady strip club, This strong beat began, and the girl showd up out of darkness, some crazy kind costume. I was green, no freaking clue, tried to literally hand her the tip. She laughd and throw her pushed up cans closer with eye sign 'over there.. you fool'. Well, man will learn by errors.
Other Enigma suggestions: Mea Culpa, Back. tothe Rivers of Belief, Push the Limits, Silence Must be Heard, I Love You, I´ll Kill You
Check Principles of Lust ❤
