I wonder how people in 1850 felt about the 1820s, like if they longed for the simple days of the 1820s. Is this just human nature to want to go back to our youth? I wouldn't mind going back myself, believe me!
I was born in ‘77, so I don’t remember much of this music and decor. I absolutely love it though! It makes me feel cheerful and upbeat, especially the music! I’ll be listening regularly. Thanks for making this available. I appreciate you!❤
Judging from the comments, if businesses would just bring back this music instead of the crap they play now, we'd all be a lot happier. Who's ready for a petition??
Not just the music alone but the atmosphere. Red floors, cream-ish, or pale blue walls. You know how stuff looked in the 60s-90s. The way the technology looked and sound as well. Clothing, hairstyles. I loved it.
😂 That opening “Miller Time” commercial just blew me away! I clearly remember this as if it were yesterday, That was a perfectly nostalgic Segway to this all but forgotten “Muzak” I didn’t realize it was even a “genre”! Who knew! Thank you! for your hard work to this retrospective…
Nostalgia sweeps over me as I recall the magic of those decades, where stepping into a brick and mortar store wasn't just about making a purchase, but about embarking on a sensory journey and creating lasting memories. Reflecting on my childhood, I fondly remember the brick and mortar stores that defined the landscape of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Those were truly glorious times, where each store held a unique charm and character. Walking down bustling streets, I could feel the vibrant energy as I peered through shop windows, captivated by colorful displays that beckoned with promises of hidden treasures. It's hard to understand that feeling unless you lived it.
These are my Wonder Years from 60 plus years ago. Yes, wonderful memories of a more peaceful, friendly, and civilized social time that I grew up in. Social progress, civic responsibility, manners, greetings and salvation were shared automatically. Today’s generations are so angry, divided, depressed, and filled with despair.
It's really funny that I played this for my 28 year old son, trying to show him what kind of music we had to listen to when we were in stores back in the '70s, and the weird part was he liked it and I liked it😂😂😂😂😂 he said, 'What's wrong with this? I kind of like it.' and I said, ' Oh well, let me try to find one that is as bad as I remember.', but I couldn't 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love production and library music but I am unfamiliar with Ole Georg. Now you have given me a whole new place to go for great music as a soundtrack to life.
A time when the doors in life were lighter to open if unable to someone would help. When a friend was a person, not a lap top or a cell phone or tablet. When a hospital was to help and not make a profit. When race as two or more competing for a prize. Simpler times. Fun memories and a time gone by and missed.
Watching my dad drinking miller i would sing that jingle. He would smile he worked hard to give us a good life. God i miss those days. We got along & shared the same problems .

Why the knork do I love this so much? I mean, I'm a sucker for Bach, I adore Charlie Parker, I go bonkers listening to Emerson, Lake & Palmer, in short: I dig the "high end" stuff, and yet: Muzak gives me the chills. Someone explain me to myself...

The musicians in _Spring_ _Waltz_ (at 26:22) are seriously good. The flute player sounds to me like Jon Clarke, who played in the Don Ellis band before becoming the all-woodwind guy for Loggins & Messina, and for Kenny Loggins' solo tours and recordings. Don't know if it's actually him, but similar (excellent) musicianship and style.

Another great collection of music. We should all recognize the people who composed this fabulous music. They are all highly competent primarily English composers who went on to lead fantastic careers in music in both lead and supporting roles. This type of music gets an unfair bias against it, in my opinion, but it's very well thought out and composed. If any of you are interested, search each name as it pops up on your screen.
