I was born in 1964 made the Final Cut of the Boomers thank goodness.Lived to see the moon landing & the others.perfectly made television shows.Every house you went In was unique loved the orange & brown shag & panel .
So funny. Even in South Africa the shaggy carpet, orange or brown kitchen, thei orange, yellow and brown sun filter curtains. Still got those curtains.
I can careless about it being Feb 22, 2024. In my mind it’s the 70’s….I have on my jellies, bell bottom jeans , tube top, hair in two ponytails riding my 10speed down the street with all the kids from my block. Come join Us .
The musicians that recorded this stuff had to be able to read it off the charts, rehearse it once, and record it "for posterity". 😂 In order to do this convincingly, they had to understand the style and be able to play with the right "feel" for the era, be it swing or rock or Latin, and of course be able to play exactly what was on the page. This required considerable experience and technical expertise. All for union scale, which was not especially generous.
Love to see Muzak getting some love and attention. Keep it up Stuffer - awesome retro pictures too. Do you have any Spotify playlists you wouldn't mind sharing? :)
I think the world will no longer know an extraordinary era like the period from the 1960s to the 2000s. We boomers are the luckiest generation of all the others because we have known the before and after the internet, the greatest revolution in history .
you're right boomers have had the best nothing but we were so lucky. This generation will never know what fun is. They can't even tell the time nor do they know what a hot water bottle is oh and they don't know who the queen of England was
