I don't understand how magazines like "Rolling Stone" in it's "100 Greatest Singers" didn't include George Michael. This guy is a complete singing beast. Comparison is sometimes annoying, however, his voice control, his range, the whole performance ... absolutely amazing! Over many singers that are included in that ranking.
The main reason why he wasn’t included is mainly because he always used a lot of echo and that’s considered a bit like cheating, but other singers have always done the same and did get included, but without it he probably wouldn’t sound so fine, if you listen to the great singers of the past century, Sinatra, Nat king Cole, Elvis, Julio Iglesias, they all had that extra thing, but of course GM should have been somewhere in there as well imo

I'm 65 years old and I have only felt this deep feeling for only 2 singers in my whole life. In the early 70's was Mac Davis and the 80's and onward has been George Michael. He has got THE BEST voice I have ever heard. I could listen to GM 24/7 and never tire of his voice.

Today's "singers" couldn't come anywhere near his level on their very best day performing live. And this is rehearsal. He was/is music. Musically, he was a god. He was so humble and respectful. It must have been been such an honor - and fun - for world class musicians and singers to work with him. His backup singers had been with him for years. One of them said in an interview that no matter where they were or what they were doing, when GM called, they dropped everything ... "it's George!!"
He was such a musical genius. Producing, playing instruments himself, songwriting, singing and amazing dancer and performer. Such a shame some people still think he was just a popsinger.
It's too bad he didn't think more of himself to not do drugs. If I'm not mistaken that's what ultimately took him out --- was the years of drug use caught up to him.
His organisation didn't spend the money to promote him here, therefore his irrelevance was "earned". He earned his $ through talent, not through purchase or fealty . You can be famous if you purchase it. Nothing new there, without exposure via TV, other media, you're going nowhere.
He was absolutely the best, I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't heard him,I was older when I discovered his magic voice,been a devoted fan every since.He sure is missed..
Tonight I cry for George. One of the most beautiful souls to have ever graced this earth. I can only hope that the day I enter heaven, that he's there singing as I walk through the pearly gates. What a huge gap has been created in the music industry with his untimely passing. Hard to believe it has been nearly six years since that awful day. I was in my early 30's when he became widely known, dancing till the wee hours of the morning. Loved him then. Truly appreciate still being able to enjoy his music. My heart will remain broken forever.

One of the best live performers his studio work his MTV Unplugged performance the man gave his all to his audience in his live concerts. Not many do it all like Mr. George Michael did. He was a true musician artist writer producer singer. As his father said they dont grow on trees. Mr. George Michael was and is one of a kind. I have been a GM fan since 1984. The videos and images that are natural is my favorite of GM. Everything comes naturally for him. Voice, beyond words, talented musician, performer, humanitarian, gorgeous, he has it all. Yet, the best is yet to come. Looking forward to his new album 2013, and touring again. We are blessed.

One of the best live performers his studio work his MTV Unplugged performance the man gave his all to his audience in his live concerts. Not many do it all like Mr. George Michael did. He was a true musician artist writer producer singer. As his father said they dont grow on trees. Mr. George Michael was and is one of a kind. I wish his personal life had brought him more joy then pain. RIP 🙏 beautiful man beautiful soul✝️

Voice, beyond words, talented musician, performer, humanitarian, gorgeous, he has it all. Yet, the best is yet to come. Looking forward to his new album 2013, and touring again. We are blessed.
