    You’re a really fun player to listen to man. I always say a good player makes others want to play.

    I love that country soul hybrid thing you were playing, the second jam in the demo part. Chefs kiss mate! You do this lick in the turnaround that sounds like Julian Lage, im going to have to slow this down and see if i can poach it from you. Great playing!

    I live the smoke house burst a lot. I have a really nice classic but like the simple look. Great video thanks for sharing this.

    Sounded great clean through the Vox. I don't do overdrive unless it's the Robben Ford though his Dumble sound.

    No wonder NO young players playing Gibson. $2,000 for a studio with a crap finish.... screw Gibson.

    So they melded the Studio with the Classic? I dig it!

      No. It's the Studio AND the Modern

    Great demo, the only thing missing from the specs is the return to ebony fretboards but otherwise pretty great and the pairing with the vox sounds great

    I have a tribute. Honestly, with Les Pauls, I feel they do one thing, that one thing, is rare and wonderful , but it doesn’t inspire me to go anywhere else with it. If I want single coil, my vintage strat is right there. Not going to pick up a LP for that. The compound radius is very though. My style is more cascading pentatonics over smooth jazz/prog tracks. The LP for me at this point is just dead weight, I want to get an Ibanez or PRS S2

      I kind of see it the same way, but the guitar I started using for the 5 songs we still play is a 2020 Les Paul Classic. Before that, I’d bring a Strat and a Gibson Explorer through my Fender Super Reverb. The Classic becomes “Straty” sounding enough so that I can use it for all 5 songs without many noticing I’m splitting the coils. 2 songs were played on a Gibson with PAFs and 2 songs were played on a Fender with single coils. The 5th song is one I used to alternate from show to show. It sounded mostly the same no matter which guitar I used. I like coil splitting anyway because it’ll give me an idea of how a song would sound like a Strat or Tele when I’m playing a Les Paul.

    honestly, fuck the new studio. I thought they really had it nailed on the one prior to this. And that's why I ordered a used one on Reverb.

    Sorry brother but Nope..to me not worth it. Schecter(solo ii) , Esp(ec 1000 & ec ii) by far highest bang for the buck, or if you want drop 3k Prs (594etc)... way better build quality , no cracked finish or neck ,headstock stays on and you wont have to learn to tune mid song.😂 Love the Look, Love the style. But Found very few I actually like to play. When they start making some real improvements in QC ,style and offer some different neck styles instead of "baseball bat" then I would consider adding some.

      @dg311 Місяць тому +2

      The moderns have a slim taper neck. Cost isn't a problem for some people, and I also hear the QC has been fixed since about 2019 onward but not 100% sure. I did get a 2022 Studio and the quality has been spot on. I do hear still that you have to try more than 1 because the feel can change between even the same models.
