@@jonaswie6964it can have. But heat soaked quite quickly. I mean I am Stage 2 FBO with big intercooler M235i and doing 100-200 in 10.4sec in 30C ambient temp. 100-160 within 5.2sec, same as here. Higher speed, more heat and IAT gets way to hot. ECU protects himself against the driver. The best during cold spring I did 9.83sec. I guess I’m running around 400HP to the crank.
Am I the only one who prefers this endine and how it drives over the 240? Even tho it is marginally slower? Just more chatecter feels more like a classic BMW but very quick! The B58 engine feels faster and more torwue low down but just doesn't feel or sound like this one👌
same engine N55 as same generation M2 just M2 is mapped 40hp more. The difference is in chasis, M2 is better here, wider in the back part. the difference is there but its not large. If you do stage 2 on this into 400hp you have faster car than stock M2 of the same geenration.
sometimes way too much HP but little technology to control and manage it its useless. This is why cars such as the Koenigsegg or Bugatti are so expensive.

N55 is very fast in lower and middle part of the curve and its pretty linear, however, not that strong above 5k rpm.
B58 is even less "revvy"
If you want power past 5000 rpm ... get an F82 M4 Competion (or M3 Comp.)
Those have max bhp at 7000rpm.
