I've watched all of Michigan's first five games. It has been apparent to me that they've been working really hard to build up their depth. We've seen all types of inexperienced players on defense, along the O-line, wide receiver, and QB. On defense we've seen a lot of non-starters Amir Hall, Wesley Walker, TJ Guy, Jimmy Rolder, JaDen McBurrows, Dominic Nichols, and several other younger players getting reps in some critical moments. Will Johnson and Josiah Stewart didn't even play one snap against Minnesota and they are two of the best players on the entire roster. A large portion of the TD's they've given up on the season have been when some backups are getting starters a rest in the second half. And for better or for worse, now they've got both Davis Warren and Alex Orji some experience and the O-line is coming together a little bit more as we've seen eight different guys getting some work in games. All that collective experience together on the field could really help build this team and have them ready for a big push in the second half of this season.
Washington fan and old alum. Don't see Michigan the underdog. Hope my guys keep it close and the game is fun to watch.
If Vegas made Michigan -2 … the sharps would hammer the home underdog - and all the pro money would be on the home dog. They don’t want that. Setting lines has nothing to do w/ teams playing - it has to do w/ where money is gonna come in. Vegas wants an even split on a game. Setting UW up as a favorite is gonna have more money come in on Michigan - which is what they want.
So not a good sign for Michigan then
@@donaldlukacsko1347 I believe you are missing the message...
I hope these kids remember to have fun. Stay loose and just get after it. It’s a beautiful place for a football stadium and UW is a great host but you better believe theyve had this one circled on their calendar since Feb.
It’s almost impossible to get Michigan behind the line of scrimmage with Mullings.
Give Bredeson the ball once in a while boys!!
Is it a REMATCH if the team's are vastly different from the last time they played
Michigan wins 27-24.
Might as well make it 3 in row… 〽️
If Michigan is an underdog then their ranking is more to do with their win vs USC than their ability to beat a quality team consistently. It's hard to feel confident with Michigan beating any quality team. I guess this is why we play the game.
Ranking have nothing to do with Vegas spreads. Rankings are based on results...spreads are based on what Vegas would consider the likely outcome but it's meaningless. Michigan was a dog to USC, and won.
I think this year the skepticism seems to be warranted but that’s always been the narrative on Michigan, even last year. Even last year OSU was a 3 point favorite vs Michigan… I think the style of football they play messes with the “eye test”
Michigan barely wins 24-23. Despite being a long-time Michigan fan, I wouldn't be surprised if this game becomes a loss for my Wolverines given that it's the first away game in a tough atmosphere some 2000 miles away. Hoping for the best, but we're probably not the #10 team in the country with our struggling passing game.
2 very different teams this year. Not a "rematch"
Michigan 31 - Washington 12
Michigan would need 2 pick six's lol
Michigan lost all the following personnel to the NFL: (1) its' Hall-of-Fame Head Coach, (2) Defensive Coordinator, (3) Co-Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Back Coach, (4) Defensive Line Coach, (5) Linebackers Coach, (6) Special Teams/Safeties Coach, (7) Strength and Conditioning coach, (8) its' 'once-in-a-generation' QB who lost 1 game as a starter, (9) its' all-time career rushing TD leader who also was Michigan's all time single season rushing TD leader, (10 - 15) its' top 6 offensive linemen and (16-17) top 2 wide receivers, (18) its best nickel-back, (19-20) 2 best linebackers, (21) 2nd best CB, plus (22-25) four defensive linemen. Michigan also lost (26) its' RB coach and (27) 2nd best safety [portal]. That's losing 27 key personnel from the Championship team. This year, Michigan has suffered injuries to its best safety, its best edge rusher, its best tight end and best CB. Despite all that, Michigan's only loss so far is to the number 2 team in the country. They're doing as well as could reasonably be expected.
Give Bredeson the ball once in a while boys!!
So who is “They” really in “They know something?”. Does a Vegas insider working with sportsbooks have some kind of ringer edge?
How can #10 be an underdog to an unranked team makes no sense GO BLUE
Here's what 'they' know
NCAA stats - Michigan
Tot defense 43rd
Scoring defense 51st
Scoring offense 93rd
Tot offense 116
The sample size is too early. Look at their strength of schedule, give it a few more weeks to allow schedules to more even out to make these stats more relevant now that conference play has begun. Almost anyone can run up the score on powder puff teams early on in the season.
Athan Kaliakmanis got lit up last year by Michigan when he was with Minnesota - he will get lit up again, just not as much.
M Go Blue 🏈
Kaliakmanis is playing at Rutgers this year. Washington's QB is Miss St. transfer Will Rodgers who threw for over 12,000 yards for Clanga.
@deanzaZZR You're right, he's with the scarlet nights... Rutger's picked him up. I was using speech to text and caught myself but forgot to edit it
Washington has a lot of former nfl coaches and would think that thay will have a goog plan to stop Michigan and score on Michigans defense but Michigan might just out skill Washington with there high end talent
That statement is from another podcast or video.
Orji is a terrible QB; he cannot pass at all.
Washington 28 Michigan 12
it’s a money grab by the betting community ! 😮
VIKINGS -2.5, JETS TM TOT UN 19.5
42-17 Michigan
Michigan 306 Washington -3, Da Bears.
wasnt michigan underdogs in the natty?
Michigan is not a top 10 team. They are going to lose at Husky Stadium.
Michigan quarterback is a liability. Any team with a strong run defense will have a chance.
please explain to me how Michigan's QB (Orji) is a liability?
@jacobheminger5275 He can't throw a forward pass, for God's sake. The coaches are afraid to let him throw the forward pass. That is a liability on the part of a quarterback. Once opposing teams crowd the line of scrimmage at the start of the game instead of waiting till the second half, Michigan will find it harder to score. That's what I mean.
@@jinsunwoo1709You are 100% correct! Orji's down field ability is probably VERY questionable so they'll need to get creative for short / intermediate plays. Unless they can develop Orji Michigan will be lucky to win 7 to 8 games this year. Now IF they can develop Orji (he's already looked a lot better vs Minnesota compared to his first start) and continue to be more creative in the play calling then they could possibly get to 10 wins, that's the likely ceiling though and that's a pretty big "if".
@@jinsunwoo1709 have you ever watched michigan the past 4 years? in his 2 starts he is averaging 15 attempts a game (1 game vs a top 12 team and one in constant rain lmfao) I would not say they are afraid to let him throw. Not to mention you are completely ignoring that he would rank 10th in the big10 in QB RTG if he met the minimum attempts needed and removed the Texas game (never attempted a pass). He has 2 starts and showed solid improvement from USC to Minn. you just dont understand what you are looking at if you disagree. Fully expect him to look better each week. Not to mention its not the QBs fault when your pass pro ranks 111th and receiving ranks 108th according to PFF.
@@jacobheminger5275he’s horrendous he’s the worst michigan qb i’ve ever seen. are you serious?
Michigan 38 Washington 14
