  • In this video I go over what new practice adjustments Michigan has made and how it has been paying off for them. Plus, Sherrone Moore hints towards more two-back plays with Donovan Edwards and Kalel Mullings out on the field at the same time, and why we could see some more creative plays from this offense this week. Giovanni El-Hadi also talks about the upcoming road game against Washington and why this team is ready to quiet Husky stadium. Sherrone Moore also talks about going on the road for the first time this season and what they must do to be prepared. I also go over some outstanding performances from some Michigan commits like Carter Smith and Jasper Parker. I also go over Brady Hart recruiting others to Michigan, including a huge WR flip target. I also talk about the potential of him reclassifying, and more!! If you guys have any questions or thoughts, make sure to leave them in the comment section below. Go Blue!!

    Glad they are finally committing to more of the Edwards/Mullings looks. We could really pull some stuff off with that. I hate it’s taken this long to do it, but I’m glad they see what we see. Dono is a weapon. Treat him like it and use him like CMC & Deebo. Go blue!

    I was thinking about that two back play as well. Don receiving and Mullins running. It would work and give Orji a safe pass play in Don. That's what he was doing with Haskins and Blake so it shouldn't be a problem

    I think Alex Orji is going to be fine. He's improved in the first two starts of his career and they need to give him enough protection and pass attempts to get his timing, rhythm and decision making down. He's a great athlete and young man - I support him 100%. Patience is required with a 1st year starter. Washington is a fine university and football team. It's going to be challenging to travel to the West Coast and be ready to play. Go Blue!

    I don't know how the season will pan out but it reminds me a lot of last year's Alabama team. Alabama was on a dumpster fire in tbe beginning of the season and the biggest complain was that they didn't have a QB. Look what Jalen Milroe turned into now. If we stick with our identity and be patient on developing Orji, I think he can progress in that direction. I'm not saying he'll be Jalen Milroe 2.0 but I think he has the potential to become Jalen Milroe lite.

      @@MichiganSportsTalkthat’s what I’m saying. Edwards is better at that, and we will be better off with Edwards as a WR pretty often and have Mullings as RB 1 from now on. We definitely need to be more creative but Orji HAS to get better passing the ball. Like on that pick that sparked Minnesota’s comeback, you can’t just float it over the middle. You have to throw a dart.

    • @MichiganSportsTalk
      @MichiganSportsTalk  2 дні тому +1

      @@Lukas-j1o Agreed. Orji has to capitalize on those throws. He’s missed two wide open receivers in back to back games now. If he can capitalize on those throws it would be massive for the offense

    • @Lukas-j1o
      @Lukas-j1o 2 дні тому +1

      @@MichiganSportsTalk agreed. If he doesn’t capitalize on those throws and he doesn’t get better, it’s going to be a long season. Also, a MAJOR problem is our up tempo defense. When a team goes up tempo, we can’t stop a single thing. When a team does up tempo it gets bad for us. That is why we can’t have constant 3 And outs on offense because our defense needs to stay fresh or it will get bad. We just don’t have depth on defense like last year. That’s why we also have to get better passing, because if we can, we can keep our offense on the field and keep our defense rested. If we don’t, we get our defense exposed to more snaps, which is not the blue print for us to win a game.

    The receivers need to step it up big time and start making plays. Need to learn how to create separation. There's no easier way to create separation from someone who is grabbing your jersey. I don't care who tells you different. They're wrong. Use it and figure it out. Slap and swipe at those arms that are on you with lightning speed and watch the separation occur.

    I am not comparing Milroe to Orji cause they are different in many ways and only similar in being a dual threat, however Milroe was bad at the beginning and progressed. Orji is making good decisions with the ball minus a pick in the rain and is showing progression. I am not worried as long as he progresses weak to weak, by the time we get to 0SU he can be dominate in the run game and competent in the passing game and trusted to throw. We won't win games on his arm but we will be in the game and the run game puts us over with the defense we have
