Gondolas and chairlifts are engineering masterpieces and don't get enough credit! As someone who grew up in and still lives in Colorado, I super appreciate this video.
my mums cousin lives there! she got married at the top of the mountains and had her after party back here in new zealand and i went to it. she and her husband work there. they just had their first child a few years ago and he is gorgeous, we can’t wait to go and see him! also new zealand has amazing ski fields too!
Jeb is running out of modes of transportation to review! Before you know it he’ll have a kid pulling him in a wagon while he complains about the ride! JK Jeb, you do great stuff.
I’ve ridden gondola lifts in New Hampshire and the Walt Disney World Resort with there new Skyliner system. The only New Hampshire gondola lift I’ve ridden in on Loon Mountain in Lincoln NH. Each gondola carries only 4 people. The gondolas on the Disney Skyliner holds 8 people. I’ve had a gondola to myself as well as me and my Mom. Gondola lifts are fun. That gondola lift on Aspen Mountain looks higher than any mountain I’ve seen. Way to go Colorado Rockies.
Was @ Aspen Winter 1996 for USCSA Nationals and that was the first time I ever rode (at that time the original 1986 Gondola Cabins were the ones still in service) the Silver Queen Gondola 🚠. It's similar to Heavenly's Gondola in Lake Tahoe.
As a lifelong skier I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this video! You should try the Silver Mountain Gondola at Silver Mountain (longest single stage gondola on either American continent) or Roundhouse Express Gondola at Sun Valley! Both are in Idaho & have absolutely amazing views.
Jeb, I suggest you come and review the Peak-2-Peak gondola in Whistler, BC when borders reopen! They have a special 2 silver cabin with a glass bottom in the middle.
Just returned to Chapel Hill from Colorado. Always loved the gondola in Telluride but the views from the Silver Queen are much more dramatic. Safe travels.
We where in aspen a few summers ago and we overheard these people at out hotel saying that they took the silver queen and the wind was so bad they were sitting in the gondola for over an hour and a half. And on top of that, they still had to take the trip back down the mountain.
Great video Jeb! Aspen is a breathtaking place. Next you should visit Steamboat, CO and ride their gondola, which is equally impressive. Better yet, you can fly commercially into Steamboat (KHDN) to make another exciting mountain flight review. Although, you could fly from Denver into Telluride (KTEX), arguably the most dangerous airport in Colorado, on a small turbo prop. Would make for an amazing video. And there’s an awesome free gondola at telluride you can review!
Knowing what I know about Colorado, I imagine for a 15 minute gondola ride, that no smoking sign may be loosely followed by the boarders as they get higher lol.
Jeb, thank you so much for sharing this video. This is a place I will most likely never visit, but I LOVE the video just as much! Keep on showing us more of the areas you visit. It is a real treat! For me anyway! Greetings from Pretoria, South Africa!
I use to ski in the town of Red Lodge, MT. I’d go up there on a weekly basis, to ski with a program that’s for people that have developmental disabilities.
If you liked that gondola you should have a look at the European ski resorts in the Alps, especially the French mega ski resorts of the Tarantaise Olympic Valley (4 of the 5 biggest ski resorts in the world, the fifth is in Switzerland) they are to ski resorts and cable transportation what Orlando is to theme parks and high tech attractions. They have dozens of crazy cable cars, gondolas, funitels, funicular trains (Perce-Neige underground funicular in Tignes / Espace Killy, France is like a ski express subway), 3S, high speed 8 and 6 seaters chairs, telemix, double loading hexa chairs, accelerator loading carpet 8 seaters, etc. All with extremely high climb gradient. Austria and Switzerland also have great ski resorts, views and cable transportation. The particularity of the French mega ski resorts (3 Vallées, Paradiski, Espace Killy...) is that they are multiple ski resorts linked with huge cable links with high throughput. You completely forget your car for an entire week, everything is accessible by ski. You can ski 50 miles in a day without doing the same slope. These resorts are accessible by high-speed train from Paris (TGV), London (Eurostar), Brussels, Amsterdam and Koln (Thalys) and one of the mega resorts is directly linked to the high-speed train station by a funicular (Les Arcs, Paradiski resort). Have a look on UA-cam for "Vanoise Express" (world's largest cable car, double decker, double lane), funicular "funiculaire Perce Neige", "3S l'Olympique", funitel "Grande Rochette", Val Thorens several double loading express cable chairs... It's cable transportation paradise ! All of these resorts offer incredible views as their slope and cable transportation networks let you ski from 4500ft to 12 000ft, with an average range of 6 000ft of elevation difference, that's the Alps' feature : steep and high gradient.
As an avid skier, I've ridden many gondolas. Unfortunately, many have "CRJ Window". Some resorts are better than others at keeping the windows clean. The best practice is to take the cabins off the line and store them indoors overnight, but this is time consuming, and many resorts just leave the cabins on the line at all times. The time restrictions I believe are only temporary due to covid. Normally, they fill all the seats, so you ride with other people. With one group per cabin, it really limits capacity, so I guess they limited sightseers to off peak hours to reduce waiting times.
If you ever get a chance to travel to Switzerland in the winter, can you please do a review of the Eiger Express in Grindelwald? It is the coolest ski lift on the planet! I think also the most advanced one in the world. You also don't have to ski to ride it and it goes to a great view and restauruant and lots of other cool non-skiing activities!
When is a gondola not a gondola? When they call it a tram instead like in Portland, Oregon which is the only Gondola that I can recall ever been on which is used for regular transportation to what is referred to as Pill Hill in Portland where many hospital facilities are located. Great review Jeb by you and your creative director, you are becoming a full-fledge travel reporter and before you know it you two could have couples travel channel going.
Hi Jeb I have question what hotels is nearby to gondola 🚠 we are going to aspen this coming dec for winter break and this is our first time I have any idea which hotel we gonna be check in I really wanted like nearby to this area so my son can enjoy 💕💕💕💕 Thanks KC from California
be sure to take the gondola ride at River Run at Keystone. It is equally as impressive and you get great pictures going up and down. Good video. By the way the company that owns Aspen, owns Breck, Keystone, and Cooper Mountain.
Nice. Change in format, but still your voice... which I think you should concentrate on as well. In my life there have been a few great orators, and I think you have that ability honestly. Pursue your passions, but you should remember you have a perfectly pitched and, for lack of a better word, soothing voice. Use it. I've watched a lot of your videos, and you are interesting because of you. I've travelled a ton of miles, so that is why I connected. Now it's because of you. I hope you find what you want to do, because I'm sure we would all want to listen to you talk. Good luck Jeb.
Jeb, since I have my own channel and am working on doing a bit about how I survived lockdown living by myself (Aberdeen, Scotland) would you mind if I mentioned you on my channel???

Beautiful views Jeb! Another thing to add to my USA adventure in 2024!

Pilots ski in Aspen frequently - but I guess thats the reward they get after landing in that difficult approach! 4:17 also solid german accent hahahah
Brings back memories! It's been a while since skiing out west. Thanks for sharing.
Telluride Colorado has a public transportation gondola and it is free to ride.
I’ve always wanted to ski Aspen since I was a kid. Now that it’s safer to fly... Aspen here I come! Congratulations on your engagement! 💍
I live in Colorado so I get to ski at the mountains in Aspen quite often. Btw congrats on getting engaged!
Jeb is running out of modes of transportation to review! Before you know it he’ll have a kid pulling him in a wagon while he complains about the ride!
JK Jeb, you do great stuff.
Haha it's the pandemic is making everyone get creative
Ha isn’t that the truth ...well these headphones are not my Bose
That’s a beautiful ride! Not quite as fast as a airplane but very scenic

Jeb, you didn’t wait for a red gondola (they have bluetooth for music)! I thought you usually travel first class.

Jeb I cannot wait for your long haul flight videos are able to come back keep up the great work nice video
My Saturdays are always better with Jeb.
Nice video. Aspen is awesome.
I've been on the Teleférico in Quito before. Such an incredible experience
Beautiful!

Retiring this summer. Giving me so many ideas to do. Thanks for the great videos!
Love the idea Jeb!
come to lake tahoe and ride the heavenly gondola!

Beautiful place. First time I snow ski was during a winter camp in the north during my time in the military. Was very interesting.
I have to say, you have one of the most interesting and engaging comment sections of all time.
Thanks!
Knowing what I know about Colorado, I imagine for a 15 minute gondola ride, that no smoking sign may be loosely followed by the boarders as they get higher lol.
Well that was definitely a different way to be up in the skies 😀
Absolutely stunning scenery !
The ride looked safe, too.
Thank you so much for this info! I’m a trip planner and I’m planning a trip for a client in Aspen. This was very informative!
this straight up made my day! love the dry humor. keep up the great work, back to aviation please. cheers from NJ 😁
I was skiing in Aspen Mountain the Exact day this was uploaded
Taha if that's you that's bullshit
Congratulations on your engagement! Does she like to travel?
She does!!
Awesome video Jeb! This is cool!😸
Love ski lifts. Keep up the good work.
i’ve been on this many times! awesome!
Jeb, thank you so much for sharing this video. This is a place I will most likely never visit, but I LOVE the video just as much! Keep on showing us more of the areas you visit. It is a real treat! For me anyway! Greetings from Pretoria, South Africa!
Great video with fantastic views! Although I still love the air travel more.
This looks like a beautiful challenge!
I Have Been On Gondola Before, Because I Am Alpine Skier, Trying Snowboarding First Time For 2023-2024 Ski/Snowboard Season
That does look like fun!
Really awesome!
it is!!!
Thank you it was great.
Granby, CO! One of the best small-ish mountains to learn to ski on with instructors that are actually there to instruct first timers.
Me watching this and seeing him get WOOZY while I was born at 8,022 feet in Vail
I use to ski in the town of Red Lodge, MT. I’d go up there on a weekly basis, to ski with a program that’s for people that have developmental disabilities.
I genuinly miss skiing more than I miss flying
Called it Jeb! Great video as always!
I really want to get out to Aspen sometime soon, I’m not much of a skier either though so I think the sightseeing pass is perfect 😂

Cheers from Austria, where we live on gondolas ;-)
I am riding on it tomorrow
Such a cool video!
Congrats on your proposal

want a real thrill take a ride on the Lone Peak tram Big Sky MT...love it when you share other modes of travel
it's a long ride, but the views are worth it! :-D
WooBack in Aspen!!

I went on that gondola it was during the summer so I didn’t ski I love Colorado
Jeb unusual aircraft 🤣🤣🤣
I am surprised u and the program director did not ski down
we ski aspen alot and we went on the same gandal
We went on a gondola at jaffrau in bardonecchia last February to ski
That was beautiful. Have you ever taken the tram at Sandia Mountain near Albuquerque? The trip you were on reminded me of that one.
When is a gondola not a gondola? When they call it a tram instead like in Portland, Oregon which is the only Gondola that I can recall ever been on which is used for regular transportation to what is referred to as Pill Hill in Portland where many hospital facilities are located.

Homestead bunny trail 👍👍😎
you should check out disney worlds new gondola system connecting 2 of the four parks and half of the hotels.
That’s is a fast gondola
Hi Jeb I have question what hotels is nearby to gondola 🚠 we are going to aspen this coming dec for winter break and this is our first time I have any idea which hotel we gonna be check in I really wanted like nearby to this area so my son can enjoy 💕💕💕💕
Thanks
KC from California
Btw the Gondolas are made in the north of Italy 🇮🇹 in an area called South Tyrol
I love you vidios Jeb
You should review vail’s gondolas next
Why

No Breck and Keystone are Vail Resorts, Aspen is Aspen Skiing Co, and Copper is (I believe) Alterra. Or maybe Boyne.
@@Owmarsh12 Thanks for the correction! You are correct. Sorry.
Views still are great. There is a restaurant at the top of the peak. Doubt that it is open.
@@Owmarsh12 Copper is Powdr.

Don’t tell UA-camrs what to change especially as you have no experience, he did not ask for anyone’s opinion, and he is already successful
@@codylewis867 Fair enough. Little too late. A little too much vino. But I do like his videos. Thanks Cody.
Second 🇬🇧
do we need reservations for gondola ride aspen ?
I live here lol
5:40 "We were above 10,000 feet after all." Does this mean you were allowed to pull out your electronic devices? lol
my gondolansces... chairlifts are superior lol
Jeb, since I have my own channel and am working on doing a bit about how I survived lockdown living by myself (Aberdeen, Scotland) would you mind if I mentioned you on my channel???
I'd be hono(u)red!
You are running out of ideas and this video shows it. Keep pluggin!
Great video! Idk why you’re wearing your mask in a gondola 🚠 with just you and your fiancé?!
thank you, how stupid huh....
Why do you have mask on when it’s just you and your creative director? I would like to think it’s to protect the identity of your creative director. 🤔
Mostly because it was cold. 🥶
Why are you wearing a mast with just the two of you?
i have senne your video and i hearde you are bad at skingi i am not god ore bad i cane only do red on red trackes with my parenters.
