We detonated a bunch of fireworks under a bucket and it may or may not have launched the bucket into a glass window and shattered it.. for the longest time it was just constantly crackling as more and more of it was breaking, it didn't fall or anything until one of us decided to clean it up (months later). Good times.

However one state over and you can buy them no questions asked and it’s only like an hour drive. So there’s just constant stories generated here involving people too stupid to exist legally buying illegal fireworks and doing dumb shit

Yesterday when we set off our last firework, we assume it was a fountain since it looked like one but it turns out it wasn't a fountain firework and it was a disaster.
I was the only one that got hit by one of the explosive fireworks that came out of it and now my leg is injured.

Was setting off fireworks with my friend's dad and I was charged with setting up mortars. I lighted one and ran away but it tipped over and shot directly at his house exploding and sending 6 people to the hospital.
Everyone ended up ok though and I'm still invited next year.

i have a story: me, my parents, and a lot of friends were at a lake setting off fireworks, and we are having fun like normal, but this year one of the fireworks tips over. so my dad, without thinking, runs over and kicks it in the lake.

the firework fired up correctly a few times, then it came to its last shot.
on its last shot, it was bobbing like crazy, and it fired....
...directly at a tree i was standing under.
it hit the tree above where was standing and i ran like hell.
nobody was hurt and nothing like that has happened again.
