Hi Ann. we agree, that part of the country is so beautiful. We still think back at everything we got to do and see while in Cody, some memories we'll never forget. We have a digital picture frame that shows different pictures, when the pictures of the Beartooth Highway come up, we have to stop to watch, so amazing. Dan
@butchwilliams7637 Wow! You live in a beautiful part of our country! We actually want to go back sometime! We absolutely love Cody! Thanks for watching & writing in! We appreciate it! Have a great week!🤩 Deena & Dan🤠
Take Chief Joseph Scenic Bywayl from Cody to Cook City, MT then the Beartooth Highway from Cook City to Red Lodge. On the Montana side there is a gravel road called Hell Roaring Plateau that mirrors the Beartooth Scenic Byway.
@Jasonrcsd thank you for watching and leaving a comment. We did get to drive Chief Joseph Scenic Byway and the Beartooth Hwy, both were breath taking. We didn't get a chance to go all the way to Red Lodge because the year we were there they had a flood and the roads were washed out. We'd love to get back some time and make the drive all the way to Red Lodge. The Beartooth Hwy is one of our favorite drives we've ever taken, you can't describe the scenery. Dan
Probably 40 years ago I did a cross country motorcycle 🏍 trip and tented at the KOA. Went to the B B Center, a real rodeo, Yellowstone, the entire Bear Tooth Highway, and back to Ohio. 3 weeks to cram everything in. Too much to see, never enough time.
@johnlenart597 that sounds like an awesome trip! We loved driving the Bear Tooth Highway, but we couldn't do the whole thing because of flooding. So, when are you going to do the trip again? 😀 Dan
You missed the Heart Mountain memorial a few miles east of Cody. It's a concentration camp where US citizens (Nisei of Japanese ancestry) were imprisoned during WWII. Every US citizen should be aware of this to understand how easily a democratic nation can commit war crimes on the basis of race or physical appearance .......
@JT-nm6kv Yes we heard of the memorial, we just ran out of time. We could only do so much before we had to leave. That is one place we will visit the next time we're in Cody. Thanks for reminding us. Dan & Deena
