So happy to see this channel pop right up as my first UA-cam offer Sunday morning here in Adelaide South Australia x 🙏😇🕊️🐑🇦🇺 PS. Of course I've said my prayers to my heavenly Father first thing as always. I LOVE God, because He first LOVED me x 🙏😇🕊️🐑🇦🇺
That “acorn is an oak tree in a nutshell” line cracked me up Rick! 😂 For a split second I wasn’t sure if you were serious or joking, so seeing Stacey laugh made me laugh even harder. 😄 It was a rough week, so thanks for making me smile.
I have caryopteris blue beard and the bees fall asleep on it. I pet them and they don’t fly away. Just get annoyed at me. This year I put an animated dragon near it for Halloween and the dragon wings gently move the branches and I believe the bees enjoy that bc there are more of them just sitting in the flowers being rocked by the dragon wings. Really funny! I won’t be pruning it this year. Didn’t know about that!!! Thx!!!
I garden in 6 acres of oaks, hickory trees and deer! I gather the nuts from the beds and throw them back into the woods to sprout. I share your message with the Master Gardeners of Mercer County, NJ -you don’t know what you don’t know!❤
Thanks for all your garden knowledge and tips. The caryopteris bluebeard has the perfect shade of blue, I love it. I was excited to find the beyond pink caryopteris which is also very pretty, when I went to plant it, I noticed it's not hardy in my zone 5. I planted the pink in containers, hoping they make it through the winter in my garage!
They both are really beautiful plants! Good idea on keeping them in the garage, just make sure to keep them watered ☺ fingers crossed they will come back next year! 😄
Just found u on U Tube, great show. will be watching your back episodes. We recently purchased 1/2 acre lot, adjacent to r property. R plan is to keep the lot mostly natural. Wld love to know names of plants growing on the lot. ? what is the best app for identifying plants.
Yay - so glad to hear you enjoy our show! ☺ Great question! We will actually be discussing plant ID apps in an upcoming show. Overall it seems like a majority of people like Google Lens, other phones like Andriod have their own version of this app as well
Hi! I just found you guys & am enjoying your show a lot. Last fall I planted a couple let’s dance can do hydrangeas, a punster white buddlea, & s Ruby slippers hydrangea. Can’t wait to see them this spring! I’m in old 5B, new 6 a.
Hey there, Althea! It's such a lovely plant 🤗 Yes - the care for both Beyond Midnight and Beyond Pink'D is the same ☺ The main difference between the two plants is that Beyond Midnight is hardy in USDA zones 5-9, while Beyond Pink'D is hardy in zones 7b-9 ☀
Yes! Fall is a great time for planting, I'd recommend giving it a good 2-3" layer of mulch and keep it well-watered while it's getting established in its new home ☺
In zone 5b and I planted 3 candy corn spirea last season and this season , they are not bushy at all. Very spotting leafing . What can I do to make it bushier ? I have not pruned it
You won't want to prune or apply any fertilizer with it being fall now and the plants sound like they are still getting established. Come next spring, you can apply a granular rose fertilizer to help encourage more new growth and help the plants fill out more ☺
I bought some bulbs along with A hibiscus plant, I received the bulbs but not the hisbicus which is going to come later this month, I was wondering if I could pot it and keep it indoor, I think it will be bareroots
It would be very unusual to get a bareroot plant in fall - they are typically only shipped in late winter/early spring. They should come with instructions on what to do, but indeed, if it is a tropical hibiscus and you live anywhere cooler than USDA zone 10, they will need to be overwintered indoors. ☺
It will act like a perennial in your zone so it should come back from its root base each year. You can let it self-seed a bit to ensure it fills the space you want and once it has, you can prune those seed heads off before they continue to spread 😄

Would it be OK to plant this Caryopertis now in Zone 7B? Just a got a good deal.
Yes! Fall is a great time for planting, I'd recommend giving it a good 2-3" layer of mulch and keep it well-watered while it's getting established in its new home ☺
I have dilemma like that very often 🤣

@@pwcolorchoice Thank you, I normally ordered in Springtime except for bulbs, good to know
How long would you say that bronze fennel can live in zone 6? I let it reseed because I assumed it was short-lived…
It will act like a perennial in your zone so it should come back from its root base each year. You can let it self-seed a bit to ensure it fills the space you want and once it has, you can prune those seed heads off before they continue to spread 😄
