I had a Touareg Hybrid before buying my M60i. I too went with the M60i because of the need for a tow hitch - not to mention the fact that it's hella more comfortable than the M Competition.
Idc what anyone says. You’re paying for the all-round BMW experience beyond just the 0-60, horsepower, numbers all that. It’s the suspension, drivability, how it handles on the road.
I'd love to see some X5 towing videos and information. There is very little information on X5 towing out there, but it could be an excellent tow vehicle. If there was only more information. Then there's always the question of is a weight distribution hitch necessary. I'm very interested in getting an X5 M60i for towing a 25' trailer with GVWR of 6200lbs.

If you're concerned about fuel consumption, you should go with the base 40, or the hybrid 50. Both have good power, and will give you much better mileage.
I'd co X5 M60 over the Jag. Seems like Jag is still figuring out reliability issues. But the M5 is a sweet car! Only do it if you genuinely want the SUV capabilities

@@chrisdavis811 Funny, I got my '22 M550i from Hendrick, and am now looking at the M60 as a potential replacement. I test drove the 40xdrive recently, and it was lovely...just needed a bit more umpfh. The 60 has essentially the same engine...same power & torque as my car.

We ordered a X5 40i with the M Sport package. The suspension was so much better than our GLE
