you should check out some of the classics. ibn taymiyya is pretty cool he helped start the whole salafism movement. even respected muslims who weren't scholars like rumi can be very insightful. personally I like to hear a bit of everyone's stance and make an informed decision based on the teachings of the quran or with the guidance of my imam, but many people do recommend finding a school and a teacher of that school and sticking to it.

Subhan’Allah!! My husband’s ‘friendship’ with his childhood sweetheart turned into an emotional affair. I asked him to stop and told him how wrong it was, but he wouldn’t listen and was in denial about it. He left me and our children because he refused to give her up. Whatever they had/have it is wrong, it’s temporary and has left me broken hearted. I hung on for the sake of Allah, but I had to speak up and not allow myself to be used or treated like dirt. This is the second time with the same woman, but this time it went further( not physical as far as I’m aware of) , Subhan’Allah. I suppose after 22 years of marriage and the fact he no longer loved me played a big part 😔.

I've just started college which is a big jump from being at all girls secondary, It is a really big jump and quite hard to navigate around staying halal and interacting with the opposite gender. Especially to what degree you should be interacting.
As long as you try. It's not haram in of itself to not talk to a male for legit reasons, it's very important to be able to know how to speak to the opposite sex in a formal way, it's important for your future social professional settings, just be sure not make it about anything else but work.

when someone came to imam Muhammad bar aleihi wasalam, (it was a conversation I can't really remember what happened) but imam Muhammad bar aleihi wasalam said, when shay tan came to nabi noah aleihi wasalam, and when the shaytan said, I am going to give you a gift. then nabi noah (AS) said, why? shaytan said, its because you made dua to Allah to forgive all of those who oppressed Allah. nabi noah (AS) what is the gift, shaytan said three advices. the first one said the shaytan is, when there's only two opposite gender in the room, know I am the third. the second shaytan said to nabi noah (AS) is when shaytan said, when you are mad, know that I am there to make you more mad. the third one is, when shaytan said to nabi noah (AS) the shaytan said, when you are about to give zaikai, know that I am always there to stop you from giving. (I can't really remember the full Hadith, but it looks familiar like this one.) salam

Question: How to handle a friendship of two opposite genders in an islamic way?
Situation: So apparently, I just started to practice islamic ways such as following the sunnah and such. But this friends of mine which are women have been my best of friends since high school. Since before I started practicing the islamic way of life. One of them is a muslim but doesn't practice the sunnah and the rest are christians. As now a practicing muslim myself, should I just tell them straight and truthfully that I can't hang out with them anymore because it's haram? If so, can I still talk to them casually online? Or should I just cut them off totally and never talking to them again?
PS: Those who would reply, I hope you all be able to understand my situation. No hates please. And I live from a christian country btw and was enrolled in a catholic school since kinder garden to senior high school.

I'm an engineering student (boy) and in college some girls (students) try to make me shame for example by saying hey there is going a decent boy who is always on the path of Islam , he never talk to girls and too much more . And because of girls I leave them. in this situation what I have to do?
Listen, Alhamdulillah u are a very good muslim if you’re truly on the right path. Please ignore those girls or if u might, make them understand the beauty of our religion, and if they resist, dont mind it. This world is temporary and we must endure minor insults which may become a fruit for the hereafter

Men and women worked together, they talked to each other, they prayed together, they did hajj together.
We see that today as well.
And if the sahaba started to develop a feeling of love to someone, they just went ahead and proposed.
If the other person also wanted it, they married, otherwise they politely refused the proposal.

A year ago when Covid began I was of course, like everyone quarantined. This left me with no one to talk to since I couldn't meet up with anyone.
While commenting on a UA-cam video I made a friend and they told me that we could talk on discord and I agreed. After joining discord I made more friends after joining server.
However a week ago I read the translation of The Holy Qur'an and came across the verse which explains that people of the opposite gender cannot be friends.
Now all my discord friends are guys. I can easily back out from the friendships except three people. These three friends are the only friends who I shared my insecurities with and because of them, found a purpose in life. When I read the verse, I messaged all three and lied saying "I'm gonna need a break from my phone so I won't be using it for 5 days." The five days are over and I don't know what to do. How do I end this friendship? Out of the three, two of them consider me their best friend especially since they had a bad experience a year ago when their friend betrayed them and all. I... Don't know what to do. How do I get out of this friendship especially since all of them are strong atheists? It's been three days and they've messaged me twice asking me when I'll come back. I don't know what to do. I can't just suddenly stop talking to them because they don't have any close friends besides me. And they also have some disorders which is why I'm always looking out for them. Please, anyone tell me what story I should make or what should I do to end this friendship?
You are deciding to end this friendship with a good intention.It is said in a Hadith that every deed depends on it's intentions.Allah will certainly recognize that and give them comfort.You don't have to cut ties with them with a sudden goodbye but gradually grow distant and also have polite conversations while making them understand Islam and your limitations in making friends with the opposite gender.

Ok so first of all i want to tell you that if you wear loose t shirts and loose pants that cover your whole body and no part of the body is being shown than it’s not a sin
The point of clothing is that ur body should be covered and ur body shape or body parts should not be prominent. Keeping that in mind, u can wear anything which is doing the job and its ok
