Maurin O Hara, with her devastatingly beautiful looks, performed a stellar role, though Keith's tongue-in-cheek acting combined with his wistful eyes, carried out the required sombreness the theme needed. Nothing compared to the likes of "Straw Dogs"! The American Wild West is truly filmed.
beauty and guts, she had it all including a voice, total package in a woman, outstanding cast, old sam knew how to make a movie worth watching, this is my second time seeing it,thank you for the upload Grjngo
Peckinpahs first feature film. I actually never had the thought that the film was dragged out personally. Really enjoyed the acting and scenery and the story as top notch too. Sam Peckinpah is a don.
Never had seen this one but the cast caught my attention - gorgeous Maureen O’Hara & Brian Keith - omG Parent Trap is an absolute favorite movie bc of their adorable chemistry! Then right away i see “Drago” aka Chill Wills - another favorite … then as the cast is scrolling i notice my #1 all time favorite: Strother Martin!! lol three minutes in and already in ❤️! Haven’t been excited ab a movie in a long time! Wish me luck! 🤞🏻🤟🏼
Truly, a Peckinpah mastrrpiece with spectacular moments that honor Maureen O'Hara's beauty and strength. This film is devastatingly agonizing, not least for its unique storyline.
Slower than some like but actually worth it. More a character study than western action. Maureen O' Hara, her brother Charles B. Fitzsimons (the film's producer) and writer A.S. Fleischman formed Carousel Productions in order to get the film made.
Brian Keith was in a half hour series 'The Westerner', created by Sam Peckinpah. Only lasted 13 episodes, but its a great show. Very dark, well written, and full of action. This one s a great movie guys 👍
THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER GREAT WESTERN GRJINGO, I SO ENJOYED THIS ONE AS IT WAS SO DIFFERENT AND THE SCENERY WAS SO DIFFERENT ALL NEW TO ME...I ALSO ENJOYED MS O'HARA AS SHE IS SO ELEGANT AND SO VERY PRETTY. SHE WAS A GREAT ACTRESS... GOD BLESS YOU ALL...
This is truly the first movie directed by SP?? it may be a trifle slow at times, but for a first film it's quite amazing. I've yet to see any of those others, as I don't think they're on youtube but knowing what I know 3rd hand about them, i think i can see the direct link from this one. Slow isn't exciting, but only the best directors can make slow at least watchable, and this one has it.
Yeah. Chill wasn't so "Chill" in this one. Guy's like that though can play bad guy's real well. Walter Brennan is the best example. Real scary mean and bad.
thank you for this great western classic. How can youtube assist in showing all these fraudulent advertisements whose sole purpose is to scam money from people.
Couldn’t agree more. A lot of the actors we have now are “pick-me’s” bought by friends and family. People like Kevin Heart need to focus on something other than acting because it’s not their calling.
This strange &unique Cowboy Movie created lovely emotion (Gringo)thanks....I spent enjoyment times through looking it ...what strange method or experiment for planting love emotion in side a heart which before short times was hate graves . what excellent Peckinpah exists was effective for some one & Useless for other

10:40 There's over 1500 (Give or take a hunny) other hymns in those hymnals (Song books for all you heathens out there LOL) but for some reason Hollyweird could only ever find two. Rock of Ages or Shall we gather at the river. Both of which were never sung in any church I ever went to as a youngster or otherwise. LOL. I think mostly it was because the name of Jesus isn't used much in them so their demonic souls wouldn't shiver with dread when they heard it. Although the bible says the women are to keep their heads covered when in the house of God and not so much the men it does say that it's better for men to keep their heads covered as well most of the time.
Maureen O'Hara was an opera singer and the best of the dramatic and western actresses ever. Great to see this movie again.
She has a natural beauty most don't
Brian Keith is a Legend.
He stayed busy right up until his death in his acting career.
Keith was in "Nevada Smith" with Steve McQueen! (Great western!)
She was the best.
I don't know but theses old actresses just have this beautiful looks that I can't find nowadays..must be the time frame or what
I love watching old movies and this one was good
Comments have already said it all about this Fantastic Movie. From start to finish the great actors make you believe, worth several watches!!! ❤🎉😊
Maureen O'Hara - great actress, rides so well! Thank you for this

A powerfully good movie about the redemption of broken souls in the gritty west. Thanks for sharing.
Peckinpahs first feature film. I actually never had the thought that the film was dragged out personally. Really enjoyed the acting and scenery and the story as top notch too. Sam Peckinpah is a don.
Happy you enjoyed the movie, thanks for watching! 🤠✌📺🎬
actually , its perfect in a lotta ways

Can you please tell me why this version is 10 mins longer than the one on CULT CINEMA?
This one didn't really grab me, although they are mighty fine actors,i'm loving this channel, thanks for all you do!

Anything with Brian Kieth is going to be great!
Same with Ms. O'hara. 💖
I remember watching this movie when I was young. We had this on the DVD with a quiz about the movie in the start menu. It's so relaxing to watch.

Great movie. Very old too. Thoroughly enjoyable. It

Loved Brian Keith since Family Affair! Definitely will search for that series. TY for sharing!
Thank you Grjngo. A heart touching movie. I enjoyed
Sam Peckinpah simply the Greatest.
Beautiful song, sang by Maureen O’Hara!
this was one of Sam Peckinpah's first movies, and not as good as the movies he would direct in the future, this wasn't to bad
I really enjoyed this film..thank you Grjingo
Excellent Peckinpah, classic.
This is a great movie!!

WOW After the first 10 min of just references to classic westerns it comes to fruition
Enjoyed, admire the director from The Wild Bunch. Thank you
Para mi son las mejores peliculas que vi toda mi vidad y son verdaderas historia con atorores que eran verdaderos actores
Its really interesting movie...Maureen was superb.
Wonderful movie.....I enjoyed it...thanks for the upload.
A little bit slow, but I always enjoy Maureen O'Hara. Brian Kieth has his own understated style. Overall, I enjoyed it.
A bit contrived, but enough redeeming features to watch in two sittings. Usual outstanding quality of uploading, thank you.
i like peckinpahs gunsmoke.Gunsmoke the greatest western ever.
This movie needed a good editor.Thanks.I watched any way.
A very emotional, n very interesting story👍 👌👌👌✌😍🥰😁😁
Great movie, thank you.
I love westerns !
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO
You're welcome! Check out this film as well if you haven't already: ua-cam.com/video/MPTNbpuaWiI/v-deo.html
Steve Cochran played his role well!
I wanted to watch this all the way through, because it was Sam Peckinpah's directorial debut in film...but I must say, it drags on a bit.
I found it hard to get all the way through, myself. But I wanted to complete it, out of respect for Sam's work.
Straw Dogs, Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, The Getaway. Many great, iconic films.
Seen icebergs form faster
Yup, sure does!!

Met chill wills in the Honolulu airport, around 1968 or nine. My wife and twin girls . He was as fun filled as usual. But, drunk as a skunk.
Aww somehow i find this sad & hilarious & about what i’d have guessed. TY for sharing - great comment!
Was 1 year me then
An all time classic.
Maureen could melt steel with that look! Ask John Wayne!
VERY GOOD FILM, I ENJOYED. THANK YOU.

The Maureen o hara song in the opening sequence is devastatingly beautiful
It was like nails on chalkboard. I fast forward through her cat in heat squalling. 😢
A screeching women is NOT eveyone cup of tea
I enjoyed this...
Maureen O'Hara was my all time favorite beauty as a young boy. 💕💕💕Many a dream I had 🤗
Maureen O'Hara was a real beauty.
I love Maurene O'Hara's singing too.
Slow moving but keep ones interest. Good cast.!!!! 👍
Only the best I ever watched
Saving this one for when I can't sleep
That's the darkest role I've ever seen Chill Wills in. I was expecting him to be his usual character, half stalwart companion, half comic relief.
Yeah. Chill wasn't so "Chill" in this one. Guy's like that though can play bad guy's real well. Walter Brennan is the best example. Real scary mean and bad.
Was a dark role for Maureen O’Hara, too

Brian kieth was pretty buff back in the day...and always played his role well.
It was very sad and gloomy, when she was finding the grave of her late husband, and bury her son alongside his grave. (SHE LOVED HER HUSBAND)🌹
Hopefully most of us did. Love our husbands i mean.

My favorite Sam Peckinpah movie is MAJOR DUNDEE
I enjoyed that, though a bit dragged out. O"Hara was a fine woman and a fine actress and always beautiful.
Nice B Western with a star cast
Enjoyed - thanks🇵🇰🇬🇧
Brian Keith 🙂 Quality Man

Maurin O Hara, favorite, favorite red head and my favorite Irish lady. Love her to death. Class, brains, talent.
Oh this was just wonderful
Super movie video quality good
A fine story, well told.
Love my Sam Peck films, never seen this this one. Thanks for the opportunity, sure glad i have now. :-)
The graveyard scene is telling, for all the flower, and all the love one's that brought them, in the end, there's only dust.
thank you for this great western classic. How can youtube assist in showing all these fraudulent advertisements whose sole purpose is to scam money from people.
Good old flick, thanks for sharing with us!
The scenery in this movie is so beautiful. I used clips of it in my latest music video "That Which Can't Be Tamed."
Really good show.
Great film! Bit of a character study.
Compare these actors to today’s actors, today’s come across as amateurs compared to this cast.
Couldn’t agree more. A lot of the actors we have now are “pick-me’s” bought by friends and family. People like Kevin Heart need to focus on something other than acting because it’s not their calling.
The Ballad of Cable Hogue was a better Peckinpah movie. And Stella Stevens!! Oh man!! Now there's a leading lady!
That was one of the first films out high school film class showed us.
Second movie that I know of that features Maureen OH and Brian K. The other is "The Rare Breed," with Jimmy Stewart, too!
And The Parent Trap 😊

Sam sure did have an eye for beautiful scenery and just the right silhouette 🤠👍🇺🇸
That is not Peckinpahs' doing but rather that of the Cinematographer, William H. Clothier.

This movie is a story about a 'normal' woman: always arguing, never satisfied.
When Brian Kieth shoots the horse at 1:10:40 the horses' shadow just stands there. It doesn't fall or even flinch.
Turn your screen side ways.
I can't. My screen is way too large.
@@tommytwotoes4610 lol' and I saw the ears twitching on that shadow....after it was shot.
It was the buckskin's shadow, if you look the buck nose is to her left when she turns around.
Not only that - after the rattler attacks, he examines the horse's left rear leg; the snake attacked the horse on the right front leg. Go figure ?
otimo filme, parabéns e obrigado por postar.

This is a weird one... not like the traditional western movies. It has some great outdoors footage, deserts and mountains.
One of the oddest movies I ever finally made it through.
Odd?
You might consider it as black humor; okay, more black than humor, bur there is much subtle humor here.
She's the queen of Ireland. Anne Murray is the queen of Canada
I like westerns a lot. I wish they could be on better focus, the reproductions are blurry.
thanks
The beginning - visually - reminds of the Wild Bunch
