Truth be told 90% of what Curtis teaches is role-independent. I would even say as much 70% isn't even specific to League, but can be applied to other games, including real life.

This video is pretty insane. I'm currently doing a break in League cause I hit my goal of getting diamond and lost motivation to continue for masters. But eventually I might get back to playing it and I will rewatch this video if I do. I can relate with so many things he said and this helped me alot. Thanks for sharing this Curtis and Nyle.

I tried every champion in mid lane but Zoe is the only one I really enjoy playing. This video brought my motivation back! Thank you so much! Thank you Nyle for showing me that you can have fun and still climb. I'm excited to try again. Curtis, your content is beyond amazing! You are really inspiring!

I think 26:00 - 31:00 is so important, as it applies to all aspects of life. Someone who can learn this lesson as a teenager should consider themselves very lucky. Most people learn it way later in life or never. Being able to find the true root cause of a problem is very valuable.

My biggest takeaway is that it does take time to really master league concepts. I probably know every strategy and most concepts out there by now, but I’ve never put in the time and effort to actually actively and intentionally practice them until they become a habit. - also, the “ask why many times” part just makes so much sense, wow

The whole 'The Moment' talk about things just CLICKING and you just get it.. this is what I always thought to be the moment when you can actually play in a proper 'Flow' state.
It's like walking in complete fog, just stumbling.. but once you walk enough, you can see it thinning at times until eventually you walk out of the fog. The fog in your way clears up and you get out of it, you can finally see where you are walking.
I haven't had this moment yet with League and it's so frustrating. I feel like I'm so close, but I know I'm holding myself back due to several things (most of them outside the game, mental. Like narratives). I'm currently just walking in the fog and watching it thin and thicken over and over. I just need that click, I just need to set myself on a straight path and walk it through until I get out of the fog instead of doubling back and changing directions over and over.
I realize this, I just hope I can put it into action somehow.

well this video was a slap in the face, i'm playing this game now for 10ys and you know the basics right but the thing is people's mindset are changing but also the game itself.
Back in the day silver1 was high elo back in season 1-3 me pieking there thinking i was amazing close to gold just one division below the highest "plat"
But now after years of playing league on and off taking breaks for ayear or months... Now i'm sick at home thinking how can i get better the game? but the at game changed so much i allwase have been silver, now i want to climb and learn the game again... But hearing this boy saying all the things he did just to climb in a game i'm asking myself is the diamond dream really worth the time?
This video was indeed a eye opener for me, this video is saying. You didn't put the work in for years and now i'm complaining about my skill ? hmmm
Very good video also for my mental game
Why i play league: well yeah after 10ys i'm just eddicted...

      You can definitely do it.
I started taking ranked seriously at the beginning of this year. Before that I was also in silver and only mindlessly spammed normal games for fun.
However, after surprisingly getting into gold (something that seemed unreachable 8 months ago, because all my friends were hardstuck silver after playing for years) I got extremely motivated to improve.
I picked Veigar and only played him for about 100 games.
This made me reach gold 2 and I decided to watch a guide from Veigarv2 on UA-cam.
Suddenly I learned that you have to keep the lane on your side in the early game most of the time. And that when it begins to push out you have to push as slowly as possible until the next wave arrives, crashing an even bigger wave (this is much safer to do).
I learned to weave in autos while trading, positioning in team fights and how to tether a bit. Then I implemented proper itemization and runes and really optimized this based on the matchup.
I reached platin within 4 months after playing in total 250 games on Veigar and starting from silver.
It was legit so unbelievable, there I was being a silver pleb not getting into gold, but into platin.
I will have to add that I took breaks from Veigar after being stuck in g2 for a month. Then I used to spam 100 games on Cassio and got her to g2 aswell, before droppinh her because it became to much.
Now I am kind of stuck in p2 and I decided to pick up another champ again.
This way you have this dopamine rush again from improving fast when you stagnate on your main.
What helped me a lot climbing from p4 to p2 (which I did within like 2 weeks, it was surprisingly easy) was buying veigarv2 patreon. Just because he specificall!y talks about wave management, matchups and macro for veigar a lot.
I also recommend shok - he is a challenger coach on UA-cam who has in detail guides on everything (all lane fundamentals, macro, micro etc.). His coachings are free, which is a huge bonus.
Dude legit just spam a simple champion that makes fun and is in the meta for 300 games while reviewing games a bit and watching coaching stuff on UA-cam.
      Everyone can do it.

Could you explain the concept of "lose some games cause I play this champion" in detail as a long video and maybe group champions by that concept that are similar?

What I learned in this Video is, that I'm just not smart enough. I probably will never understand the real "why" I do something + I'm mechanical, not good enough. So I like Thresh a lot and I played him a lot, but I still fuck up my flares way too often and like I said, I'm not smart enough to outplay hook people with mind gaming. I mostly hook in the way, while I know people tend to go back to dodge my hook. But I can't get it into my head to know this before I hook and I hook like always in the way my enemy runs.
I mean it's enough to be plat, but I'm plat since years and never reach dia what is my goal.

I try to play marksman in the bot lane (adc main, mid off role) but everyone is just playing like neeko ziggs, or neeko swain, or Syndra brand. Those lanes are beatable if you have support from around the map or if you put pressure on other lanes, but its so difficult to beat a kill lane with a traditional marksman/support lane.
