    I LOVE LIVING ON CAPE YEAR ROUND!!! Best place ever. The best places are the ones without all the tourists and the best times are the quiet nights of fall, winter and spring.

    You mentioned Marconi Beach, just south of Wellfleet, which is the last town before Provincetown. It's a great ocean beach featuring very high sand dunes. And yes, Marconi had his radio transmitter there.
    One warning: Cape Cod ocean water is Cold, even in August!

    This is very helpful - thanks! My wife and I are heading up to Boston in June, and I wanted to spend one day in Provincetown. Being from Texas, we travel to New Orleans quite frequently, and the malasadas you recommended remind me a bit like the beignets we enjoy...we'll definitely make it a first stop.

    I love this content. Any chance you could do a clip on Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket? Being a visitor from Australia, we would be coming from Manhattan. Can you get a ferry from Manhattan up to Cape Cod (or Martha’s Vineyeard or Nantucket?).

    • @ed8329
      @ed8329 2 роки тому +2

      I have lived on Cape Cod off and on for years. And I love Australians! To answer your question- no. Sometimes there are flights from JFK to Nantucket, the schedule is random and the prices can fluctuate a LOT. But if you can fit that in your budget, it will make the trip much much easier. You can also fly into Hyannis and fly or ferry to Nantucket or MV. You can also take a sea plane from the Hudson River to Provincetown (tip of cape cod) but that is like $500 a person and you'd still have to get to Nantucket/MV! Enjoy your trip! :)

      One could take Amtrak to Providence, RI. A bus ride from Providence gets you to a Martha's Vineyard ferry.

    Hey Sarah.
    Great video. Being a former resident of the Cape for 11 years and having visited there since 1962, I noticed a couple of errors that I wanted to point out.
    One of the beaches you mentioned is correctly named Nauset Beach. There are two Nauset beaches. One is in Orleans and the other is in Eastham, which is one of Cape Cod National Seashore beaches. I was the lead secretary there for 6 years, which was amazing.
    The other correction is that Anthony Bourdain never worked at the Lobster Pot. He visited there as a guest from time to time. He filmed a segment of his shirt Parts Unknown at the Lobster Pot in 2014, at which time I was present. My friend Sean McNulty, part owner of the restaurant told my husband and myself to stay in the dining room because Anthony was on his way down to film with his crew. It was amazing to be able to see him and chat with his crew. I have photos to share if you'd like to see them. He actually worked at Ciro & Sal's and the Flagship. Keep sharing!!

    I was with a guided tour, alone, and they didn't let me enter at family restaurant. They thought I was a gay. So I ate at McDonalds which was empty.
