It was interesting to hear Anneliese reference Chelsea. When she said, "am I sick of saying Raven's name more than my own name," it made me think about how it must feel or must've felt for the child actors who played significant supporting roles but, nevertheless, are only really thought of in association to the main role/actor. I know Devon talks a lot about identity and how portraying Ned was and continues to be a huge part of his life, but hearing Anneliese talk about Chelsea made me wonder if there was a moment in which she or other child actors in supporting roles ever felt like they weren't important enough to be considered the "main character." Like that idea of you're the main character in the story that is your life. But when you're playing a supporting or side character for so long, especially during some formidable years of your growing up and development, how much of that impacts how you view yourself and your own significance within your own life? IDK IDK DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE SENSE? TTToTTT
INTERESTING PERSPECTIVE & QUESTION. Definitely something we can bring up with guests.
This was such a neat mash up! I hope she knows that Chelsea was never a side character or after thought to Raven in me or my friends eyes. We still quote lines from the show equally of both characters! "Do you carry a lunch box?! " goes through my mind at least biweekly. Maybe more. It might be my version of the Roman empire to men even. 🤣
I'm sure Raven did what she could to make Anneliese feel like she was just as important as her. Cause to me they both carried the original show and raven's home. Once she left I was done with the reboot
Some start as the side character and then their talent is too big to fail. Like Ariana Grande
@samuelgalea7679 Dude, it's funny because nobody really expected for Ariana to all of a sudden, be the main star. At first she was just a cute red head but then when she sang the iconic "Give it up" with Liz Gillies she went from being a cute Red head to a Force to not be messed with.
I just truly love this woman. so funny, entertaining, and personable. QUEEN !!!
She’s so great
I love how they met for the first time but they spoke to each other as if they've been friends for years, lol. This was a fun and insightful interview!
The Nickledeon and Disney Crossover
ITS FORBIDDEN!!!! lol jk
it may sound so silly but with so much of your audience being kinda in the “healing our inner child” era it’s so cool to have all these podcasts and all of you guys going on each other’s podcasts idk it’s just making my heart really happy
❤🔥
Love your comment
literally how I feel
She has the most damn perfect speaking voice. It’s positively dripping with femininity.
I have always found her voice so comforting, even in my childhood 🥰
I love Anneliese so much. There’s no one on TV or social media like her
She’s such a breath of fresh air!
“It’s that perfect level of having drive, but not being desperate.” Yes girl 👏🏼
I love the way Anneliese speaks. So eloquent! 💕✨
ok umm Anneliese is STUNNING
I saw Anneliese perform at the Hollywood Bowl for Disney Princesses and I was brought to tears multiple times. I loved That's So Raven and Chealsea was my favorite character but this show made me see Anneliese in a completely new light. She's so incredible.
Anneliese looks like Rachel Leigh Cook.
Loved Anneliese shouting out theater across the country being good and valid. Touring shows can be incredible, local theatre groups- excellent, and if you need an extra affordable option go support a local high school production which isn't just fun and affordable for you but helps out arts program and the community in general.
Annielese, Devon, Christy- so many names I’d missed hearing for years, it genuinely makes me so happy to see you guys alive and well, and being good people. LOVE listening to you guys talk and I hope you each get whatever it is out of life you’re hoping for
😤😤🙏🏼
I looved this episode! Devon and Anneliese together was something I really looked forward to after seeing he missed the BNB episode! It was such and interesting back and forth, literally like Actors on Actors - childhood stars edition!
Listening to Annalise and Devon talking feels like hanging out with two friends for 60 min
They honestly should do a pod together, i'd listen!
Wow thank you for recording such a great conversation. It’s crazy how a lot of this applies outside of the entertainment industry. Anneliese was HILARIOUS as always, and I really appreciated her openness and vulnerability in this episode.
If the 2 of you ever get the chance to work on/create a project together of any kind. I will absolutely be there to see it!
this was my first full growing up episode that i watched all the way through and wow i can’t wait for the big name bitches episode to come out!! love these two wonderful beings of joy and hope they understand how much influence and inspiration they provide for the young adults of my generation!!
Anneliese is someone yes, I grew up with but DAMN she's such an interesting woman. Love how she mentioned that the place she's in NOW is good. Great, love that for her.♡ I love her with Christy & I also follow her on insta. Her as a blonde YAAAAAAS QUEEN. Anneliese, not Chelsea, of course she played an iconic character but, that's NOT all it boils out to be. TRULY love that. I need to also have that mindset, being 29 & not having a constant job...sometimes I feel like I'm the only one?? So yeah, this podcast let me see their perspective on life, it's not a waste of time & to be happy with where you are. DON'T need to prove yourself to others.
Okay!! I really like them together!! They have a cool drastic contrast in how they move. in the best way dynamic wise! Would love to hear more from them
I also noticed the contrast they act as foils to each other which led to an interesting convo (Annaliese seems satisfied with the outcome of her career but not as comfortable openly speaking out quite yet whereas Devon seems more comfortable speaking out but still has some aspirations career wise that he wants to achieve)
You can really tell she comes from theatre, especially through her character Chelsea.
This was such a great episode! Its cool to see you guys together since you didn't really have any interaction in the industry growing up. Both of you are such genuine people though, and I love that. These podcast make me feel like I'm actually getting to know the people behind the characters I loved watching.
Some serious chemistry here. Am I imagining this?!
This was such an awesome video! Really enjoyed the conversation and would love seeing you two talk again.
I felt like this was Chelsea and Ned in terms of humor lol
I loved this episode . And Anneliese is a fucking treasure okay . Protect her and Devon at all cost omg
Refreshing content! Love the authenticity on both ends, this is exactly what we need to see more of 🏆 Keep it up because you’re definitely on the right track! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I loved this interview so much! Really amazing energy between you two. Also, Devon, you're always handsome, but this haircut + beard combo is 🤌
I love how open and honest this convo is. Devon is so fuckin real and says things im thinking. He speaks his truth!
Love Anneliese, she's so hilarious and Devon glad you're feeling better 😊 ❤
Her song Over It for the disney channel movie stuck in the suburbs💕
I love the ned pod because you guys r so raw! Keep killing it guys! Love ur stuff 😊
Oh man! It's nice to see that you two get along so well! I have got to catch up on her podcast now that I know she has one
this podcast is so grest, i love seeing my favorite child stars as people, it always reminds me of us all having a human experience
Disnick crossover!! I love both of you and your work, thank you for the great time with the homies ☺️
This era of finally getting to hear from Anneliese in interviews is so great! ❤❤❤❤I had such a crush on her as Chelsea when I was 17 but she was such a mystery irl😂
Omg yall would make an amazing romcom together! ❤😂
Anneliese & Devon- no cuts please 🫶🏾 raw honesty forever even when it’s the ugly truth 💞
I dont often comment online, but im an actor in my late 20s that had a much bigger role when I was a child than the level I'm working at now. I just stumbled across this video and it was so relatable, just what I needing to hear during another dry spell... Thank you.
I love that her advice is "remember how insignificant you are" lmfao. Like it sounds like a weird mean thing to say but it's so true. Just LIVE YOUR LIFE! I'm mad it took me 31 years of life to get to that understanding.
This is so what I needed right here ❤
I love this episode ❤. Even with different paths in life we still go through the same things growing up in this crazy thing call life. Keep going , and keep being true to yourself 😊
When I met Annaliese she was the sweetest. We sang “All alone in the hallway.” A true gem. She deserves it all!
Anneliese is SUCH a babe! 😍😍😍 Lovee her on big name bitches pod w Christy 🔥 Thx for having her on Devon, this conversation very much resonated.
I saw that production of Elevator in WeHo that Devon is talking about. It was in 2017 and my boyfriend and I still talk about it as one of the most underrated plays we’ve seen in LA (and we see a lot of live theatre). I didn’t even realize at the time that it was Devon in that show. I just thought it was so brilliant.
This was so fun to watch i felt part of the conversation like i wanted to be there
omg they both look so good!!! I used to watch both of their shows when I was little!! memories 😆😆😆
I started watching Raven because i saw chelsea and i had an immediate crush on her, i hope Anneliese will read this and feel better lol nice conversation Devon, you are killing it dude with these conversations and i hope u get your oscar one day
Omgimmediate crush here too. First ep i saw was A Goats Tale and she was so sweet in it, i crushed on her immediately. Do you remember the first ep you saw?
@@LunaHeather87 Oh yeah definitely, i do remember, it was that one episode where chelsea was protesting on a tree because they were cutting it off and that guy pretended to be a vegetarian to date her. My older sister was watching the show and i simply sat down and watched cuz chelsea looked beautiful to me
Great pod 🙌🏽
I somehow came across Christy's show in my reccomended and I've been binging on content featuring Annelise and/or Christy ever since. It's a total comfort watch even though sometimes the topics get heavy. Ladies keep it up!!!
Loved every moment of this
I’m not even anti cursing but this guy says “fuckin” every single sentence like a teenager who just learned the word lol
Never thought I would have seen an episode of Ned and Chelsea together. It's interesting here you guys talk about the mistakes. You guys made in your 20s. Because i think most of us have made some shitty mistakes we're not proud of but that's what your 20s is all about. So when you do hit the 30s you can reflect on what you did and how different will you be in your 30s
I agree with Anneliese about Taylor Swift being so silent on important issues. It seems like most of the world adores her, so she should probably use that power for good. Use her voice. "With great power comes great responsibility."
But she won't say anything because money is #1, and nothing else matters to people like that. I truly believe Taylor couldn't give a shit about any of that, or most of us. Greed is very real.
She made a political endorsement in 2018 but not so much after that
How long was Raven in production?! She said she was 15 years old, but the show debuted in 2003 which she would’ve been 19. I didn’t realize how much in advance they cast.
The original pilot was shot in 2001 so she was 17.
Damn Annalise is so different from her character Chelsey. Thank god for podcast I can see the real her.. some much energy and Light❤️ Love watching on big name Bitches.
Loved this ❤
also thanks for the open conversation; good to see
LOVED IT
Love this!! Ps. Love anneliese! Big fan of big name b*tches pod! I hope you come on Devon! ❤️💯
About the want for more famous celebrities to speak out on pressing issues, Olivia Rodrigo last year spoke on the Roe v. Wade turnover during her Glastonbury performance and even did a song with Lily Allen in response. I know she’s not quite yet as big as the other stars mentioned in the video but she’s getting there (like very soon if not already 😂) and I think that was a really special moment so hopefully there’s more of that in the future
Love the video❤
love this duo!!!
Anneliese is so funny but in a tragic way. Like I get her self-assuredness, and ability to see things as they are, but you can tell it came about because she HAD to be that way. If you're not a ruthless pragmatist about things in a business which is literally defined by arbitrary trends in popularity, it's like... you're just gonna suffer. But even recognizing that, you're suffering anyway. And talking about the shallowness of the Oscars, why celebrities with a bigger voice aren't pulling for social change, those are the questions even us non-actors ask ourselves. We think... what would WE do if we were in that position? But just like she says, in the end, I don't know. She doesn't know. Nobody really knows. It's weirdly freeing to accept that, but also terrifying. And we just make jokes about it to cope lol Anyways love her. Fave interview with her so far
Devon was my crush in middle school and I think I still have a crush on him now 😅 he’s so handsome love these cross overs !!!
Awesome show 🤩
I Loved this episode. Definitely run it back on her pod and maybe Ned pod
Omg she looks so beautiful 😍
I wish you both luck with future roles. I know we all see Devon as Ned but I loved his cameo in 2 Broke Girls.
12 year old me was such a fan of That’s So Raven. 30 year old me is such a fan of Anneliese.
I love the nostalgic podcast of this and big name bitches 🥰. It’s helpful when they are very good people running them too.
Love Annelise since I was little!
Yep just got Covid last month first time, didnt know I had it, no symptoms, got all the vaccines and boosters.
HOW did he not ask what happened with Raven's Home?! she was dangling that carrot in front of him with the expressions and the "I did four seasons... and then they did two more"
What you say at 20:52 is so true. Actors and Acreesses on beloved kids show gain a level of fame unlike anything. I think of someone like Mark Paul Gossellaar who was on Saved by the Bell. That show completely eclipses everything else he has been. As an adult he was on NYPD Blue, but even that can't compare to Saved by the Bell.
I love this so much yes yay ❤
It’s crazy how people want to stick people with what you did back in the day (geez that makes me feel old) I finally found Devon’s music and love it, he isn’t just Ned to me, yeah I was introduced to him by Ned but he isn’t only Ned. I didn’t watch much That’s so raven but I feel bad that she is still being That’s so Raven.
Anneliese is the best!
don't let people bring you down for talking about your work. you both should be very proud of the work you did, you were apart of the GOLDEN age of children's programming and a class of real talented young superstars. also, the truth is some of these people will try to reduce you to a "has been" but would jump to be in your position if offered, people would leave their 9-5's to host a successful podcast or would love to say they were a successful child star on shows that still hold up almost 20 years later!
they don't make shows like ned's or that's so raven anymore. I would never stop talking about it if I were apart of these shows 😂
Ned!!! Omg your look so good!! You were always was adorable however wasn’t expecting this to be you 😩😭😭
devon babe, lookin good. two icons of tv talkin it out. ily.
I’ve always had the biggest crush on Devon and he’s still so fine 😩
I love her so much.
i just love musicals and love that 50s/60s era so doo whop musicals are ACE
It would be cool to hear a discussion about the similarities and differences between sitcom shows (Raven/Drake&Josh) vs 360° sets (Ned/Lizzie McGuire).
Devon, you and I both just got Covid for the first time...3 1/2 year streak broken 💔
Nooo! Hope you’re feeling better now too
I am, luckily i had it very mild for maybe 2 days
Sorry it took you out for a week
Love y’all
One of the reasons I love Paramore and Olivia Rodrigo is because they use their huge platforms to lift up important issues like human rights!!
Truly, if Taylor Swift said she supported and was voting to support LGBTQ+ and human rights at a single concert, she could change the world.
miss americana??
good convos
I love her so so much
If i had even an ounce of her energy and enthusiasm, i’d conquer the F’in world. 😭
4:28 This was an amusing transition😅 I couldn't tell if Devon was swooning and had to compose himself or if he was stunned by the song outburst🤭

Love Anneliese. Her personality is electric & she deserves so many more roles. Love this conversation! They spoke like they knew each other forever
Loved this. I totally agree, you get celebrities with politics is huge. I want more of this.
This girl was my crush and went on to define what is now my type 🤪
Devon, you grown up to so attractive man. Yes, you have a level of depth, but you are so beautiful.
Loved the video, you are so easy to listen too🙂. But throught some of the video Anneliese mic echoed back a bit.
I agree Woman king was amazing and deserved an Emmy, Grammy, etc.
