My introduction to Susan Boyle was because someone sent a link to me. I have loved her since. So many years later I want to say again that I hold her very close. Susan is, and has always been, a class act!
I know Susan, im from Bathgate. Shes a lovely person. The fame hasnt gone to her head. If anything she gets embarrassed talking about it. We are licky as she drinks in our local when shes home and is always on the karaoke. So we get free comcerts. She still uses public transport around town amd lives in her mums council house that she bought. Not a mansion. Shes so humble. If you ever get the chance to come to Scotland, come to Bathgate and go to a bar called The Bilbardie and if Susans in town you will get to meet and chat to her!

This is just a feel-good video to watch. Susan accomplished her goal, Simon's reactions were priceless, all the judges comments were great, many in the audience were taught a life's lesson and the message here; never ever give up on your dream!
I have watched this many many many times and everytime it pops up again, I watch it all over again. I agree this performance was much better than her performance of the same song on AGT Champions. But she IS a champion, ever since that first day on BGT in 2009. She's great.
She has such a haunting voice. It's amazing to me that she hadn't been "discovered" until this audition. In an interview once, I heard she'd done recordings for something or other. Whoever she did that for missed the ship, BIG TIME! Just so very happy for her that her dreams finally came through, and that she had/has friends who are caring enough to help her navigate these waters. I can't even imagine how fast her life changed after this. Not sure how many would be able to handle something like that. God bless her.

Honestly, this show was kinda shitting to her in the beginning. They showed unflattering clips of her. I know that's the way shows like this are, but it was kinda mean.
My introduction to Susan Boyle was because someone sent a link to me. I have loved her since. So many years later I want to say again that I hold her very close. Susan is, and has always been, a class act!
I know Susan, im from Bathgate. Shes a lovely person. The fame hasnt gone to her head. If anything she gets embarrassed talking about it. We are licky as she drinks in our local when shes home and is always on the karaoke. So we get free comcerts. She still uses public transport around town amd lives in her mums council house that she bought. Not a mansion. Shes so humble. If you ever get the chance to come to Scotland, come to Bathgate and go to a bar called The Bilbardie and if Susans in town you will get to meet and chat to her!
When it's your first time up at bat, it's nice to hit a home run with the bases loaded!!! That's what Susan did. We love you here In AMERICA! Hope you read this SUSAN!

I would also like to state how shocking Simon's reaction is when she reveals how old she is. He himself may well be 47 years of age or older..... Isn't that ironic? People often forget that they had to start from somewhere and they needed someone to give them a chance at something.

This is just a feel-good video to watch. Susan accomplished her goal, Simon's reactions were priceless, all the judges comments were great, many in the audience were taught a life's lesson and the message here; never ever give up on your dream!

I have watched this many many many times and everytime it pops up again, I watch it all over again.
I agree this performance was much better than her performance of the same song on AGT Champions.
But she IS a champion, ever since that first day on BGT in 2009. She's great.
She has such a haunting voice. It's amazing to me that she hadn't been "discovered" until this audition. In an interview once, I heard she'd done recordings for something or other. Whoever she did that for missed the ship, BIG TIME! Just so very happy for her that her dreams finally came through, and that she had/has friends who are caring enough to help her navigate these waters. I can't even imagine how fast her life changed after this. Not sure how many would be able to handle something like that. God bless her.
Funny how life is: she wanted to be like Elaine Paige, her idol. Now she is an idol herself to many others who would just like to meet her. I for sure would love to meet her.
