  • Paragliding pilots Nate Scales, Nick Greece, Matt Beechinor and Gavin McClurg attempt a bivvy line from Hurricane Ridge, Utah to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Filmed by Michael Paul Jones and Jeremy Canon with RED Epic cameras, human flight has never been captured in such a dramatic way and inspiring way. Come along for the ride at 18,000 feet as the pilots are stymied by frustrating weather but find their love and passion for flight grows even deeper. A Banff Mountain Film Finalist.

This is the most beautiful paragliding film.
Cross country flying allows us to touch nature in a way others cannot do. We are constantly testing ourselves and are privileged.
    Thank you for making this.

Nope, it was all shot between Hurricane Ridge, Utah and Jackson Hole (Wasatch), but also a big of POV in the Pioneer Mountains, outside of Ketchum, ID. Glad you liked it!

Sweet vid! Looks like a lot of good flying. I'll rematch it to try to figure out where those alpine parts are... Thanks for sharing it.

      S. W. Backcountry It's actually in the Wasatch, in Utah. Here is a video we shot in the Sierras on a bivvy trip the year before: vimeo.com/60349975

Awesome! You did the best camping trip of a life time. BUT! You worded it as a sport not as a camping trip. And I'm offended you put down other activities. (1) At :50 replace "sport" with "camping". (2) AT :53 drop "compared to most other activities". (3) At 3:05 replace "sport" with "camping". (4) At 3:06 replace "other activities" with "other ways to camp with your car close". I think camping with your car close is cheating. Now camp with only what you can carry. Much better. But paragliding, bad ass. That's your angle! I never liked "sport" Putting people in a numbered order. Is wrong. Do it for your CRAFT. Not sport.
