I'm in ore, I'm a site joiner myself and have recently opened my own workshop building sash Windows. Videos like this are gold dust and I'm so grateful to you for helping me teach myself how to up my game when the opportunity presents itsself. I have struggled with Georgian bars and now know why 🤕, can't wait to attempt the spindal moulded like you have shown. Top man great workmanship and thanks again
Thanks Norman, I was kind of forced out of site work at the start of the 2008 recession and started making furniture in my garage, needless to say I never looked back! if you havent seen it yet; part two of the Victorian front door is a good one too, I show how I machined the curved beading for the arch top glass which might come in handy for your windows. Its a shame I didnt start youtube sooner, it was just after I had made all the box sash windows for my house! good luck with your new business!
I am looking since years for this kind of content on youtube ! Great that I finally found you now. Can’t wait for the final part. Hope it’s still coming. Lovely Greetings from Germany.
When you joined the small arch to the two uprights with the scarf joint. My OCD leapt up out of my chest and did a big grinning happy dance all around the living room :-) That is pure craftmanship :-)
As a joiner of over 30 years who runs his own workshop i loved watching your video. As time is always of the essence in our workshop we rarely use hand tools as everything is done by machine. I even cut out the haunches on tenons on the bandsaw. However watching your video really inspired me to use hand tools more often, the sound of your Japanese saw cutting through that pitch pine was awesome and i now want one. Could you let me know what saw that is ? Looks like a Shokunin tenon saw ? Also liked your use of super glue for the glazing bars which i had never thought of. I used it today to repair a broken glazing bar for a box sash window on end grain and could not believe how solid the joint was. Will definitely be trying that out in future as our scribed joints sometimes need re-doing if the joint is a bit sloppy and the glue fails. The super glue with the activator would be a much quicker method. Thanks again.
Hi Hugo. I think the problem with super glue is it is very hard and brittle so any application where it might flex could cause failure. In this case should be fine since the outer frame gives so much support. It does give really good end grain bonding which is why i used it here, especially for the thin 4mm section between the rebates. That and very quick assembly with no clamping.
My question, too. But I was thinking of the vibration I have heard that affects windows from wind, noise, doors closing, etc. I was wondering about how that would affect the CA glued joints - which are, by the way, beautiful joinery.
Where did you go to school for this? I know there are a few schools in England that produce master craftsman from intricate highly skilled work like this as well as Timber framing and all sorts of cool stuff.
Two boards with a square cut , when putting the boards together by sliding the parts with the cut together, they interlock.pause the video at 2:42 and you can see him lining them up.
Makes me almost cry. Such a young man, the knowledge, and the experience, and talent. My life seams almost a waste.

Lovely Greetings from Germany.
Part 6 is missing in the description but I found it though
How many of us has ever had the talent, or patience. To have a chisel that sharp?
Thoroughly enjoyed this video - I've wanted to understand how to shape/assemble these glazing bars for years. My son has broken many :(
I’m really enjoying the techniques throughout each video. Great job mate

At 0:29 with CC on, he says it's a Dozuki razor saw
Hello there...why you used super glue instead 3 type bond glue?the super glue is good for mdf but for solid wood I have seen it failed

fantastic work... love the channel.
Very impressive work. Nicely done.
Incredible. Absolutely incredible. The precision! You are a true master.
I've watched these episodes 3 times!
What type of wood is used here?
Question to all the pros here ( I'm not one, I just love to watch people create great stuff):
5:40 ...What good is this spray for pls ?
It's accelerant to make the glue set quicker
Yeah, i like it, but i don't understand the way that you make the glazing bars!

The actual process for measuring and cutting these boards is in his previous videos 👍
Sublime
You do nice work
Chuffin hell even my arms aching watching this 😂
❤❤
Lovely work but strange choice of adhesive. I’d prefer a conventional wood glue.
The C.A glue makes sense as clamping these delicate pieces would be quite tedious, 👍🔨🇮🇪
💖
Glazing bars should be scribed in not halved
He sure appears to know how to make it work. But you must be a expert?
@@SPUDHOME yup. 39 years.
@@pmf2910 wow that sounds like you are a expert. Where is your videos, you could teach all of us. Not
@@SPUDHOME I know how good I am, don’t need videos on here to show people how NOT to do it
@@pmf2910 and you don’t need anyone listening to you brag about yourself. It is called put up or shut up 🤐. DAAAAA
titebond is far better than super glue
