Dear Rodd, very happy to hear from you again after some time.
While I can understand purists, I am really fascinated by your efforts. This work should be the closest thing to buy a new Camargue back in the eighties, choosing paint, hide and specs. A very exciting procedure it has to be. And the (almost) final result is a wonderful piece of art.
You surely know that the Solex is a bit more difficult to get right and keep it tuned, especially in hot climates. But extra grunt does it have for sure!
Do not let us wait again for such a long time for your next video!
    Luca

I love the Camargue, and this was a beautiful restoration. As a “purist”, I generally object to color changes, but also as someone who is not a fan of white cars, I definitely approve of that beautiful blue! Keep the videos coming!

First class restoration and in this instance a colour change both externally and internally was absolutely the right thing to do.

If I were specing this car, I'd call for leather piping in dark blue to match the exterior paint. But that's just me and I quite love contrasting piping on leather interiors. Nevertheless, lovely car in every respect as the owner has speed out.

Having been next to one on factory plates (the very car that is in Queste magazine) and spoken to the driver ('84) anyone that changes factory specification is bastadising its' originality - for what reason ? thumbs down from me, go and work for .....someone else

    • @adriankatsikides3390

@@roddsala4626 well I understand that but what the factory does is a world away from what an individual does for whatever given reason. I am personally not that arrogant that if for instance I bought a Cloud Three I would change it from factory/original spec to something that I wanted - even though I understand it. Just my opinion you understand but I would not want to be responsible for it.

It does when it comes to White. White is mainly used on Wedding vehicles and in my opinion White lacks colour. The new colour looks great.
