Tell me about it. Now I have several spider man sections and he could have easily went into one of the other sections. We live and we learn I guess. I appreciate you commenting. I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way. Spider-Man is one of those figures that you can never just have 1. I think he's the one character that I have the most versions of.
@@ClevasMultiverse It's true. You can add a whole lot of characters to that list. One can never have enough Optimus Primes, Batmans, Sesame Street, Darth Vader, Wolverine, etc.
It does, that 2-pack is one of my biggest regrets. That head sculpt you mentioned is something that I now want and that Kraven is on of the best ones that they came out with. I agree with all of those points 100%. I can't lie I have slowed down so much that it feels like I'm almost there myself. All of the fun has been getting stripped away little by little too.
Oh the Danny Ketch is a great figure!! One of the best of 2024 and probably gonna be top 3 of the year. I couldn't put him on this list as a regret though because I already had him coming in, I just did the review today.
Nice flip on the regret theme. Usually discussion is about figures that were bought. I’ve never went all in on Legends, just sticking to characters that I have attachment to. That resulted in me passing up a lot of figures. One that stands out to me, for me, is the 20th Anniversary Hulk. A comic inspired Hulk was and still is a void in my display (I have a stand in with a 2006 release I found at a thrift store). Similar to some of your experiences, I had it in hand, but couldn’t pull trigger. I think there’s been some other comic Hulks since, but that one particular had the aesthetic I was looking for. I have some holes in my Spider-Man collection, notably Kraven also. I can’t say I regret not buying him because I’ve never seen it person (any of the releases). More of my regrets would be towards some vintage toys I’ve seen here and there.
Thank you. I was thinking about 10 regrets of figures that I have, but I was thinking... if I don't like these guys then why would somebody wanna watch this. So I went the opposite route and went with characters that I still want and hoped that it resonated. I actually have that 20th anniversary hulk. That's the one that has the best comic feel to me as well and I like that he comes with the concrete piece too. For a long time I had an MCU hulk but I always knew he was just holding a spot down. Those vintage pieces are always the ones that get us in the end. No matter when we started there is always something that predates us and makes us go back.
My guy, my guy, my guy how I feel your pain. I ve got several I tegret not getting, but the one that stings the most for me is WW2 Marvel Rider Captain America. Has to be the limited release I've ever seen. Sad part. I remember holding it in hand at a GameStop. Put it back because I didn't have the funds at the moment, thinking I'd pick it up later. Boy was I wrong, came back a couple days later, gone. Never saw it again, in store. My policy now is if I see it and want it. Scoop it. If your mind changes, take it back. Anyhoo great vid as always!
Thank you! Man I missed out on that one too. Now I'm in a place where I want all of the Marvel Rider characters and he's one of the ones that got away from me. Him and Logan. I've come to find out that even if people don't like the character like that they still get those for the bikes. That fig came out a while ago when we still had a chance of walking around and finding things. In 2024 you're so right. If you see something that you want now, just grab it because 9 out of 10 it's not coming back. Least not for that price. I appreciate you commenting.
I concur with most of what's on your list. Most of them came out before I started collecting in 2019 and so many of them now are $$$. Im slowing down with purchases, and being more selective to curate my collection. I try not to go back and get the old stuff, because the manufacturers know the value and have gone back to make updates or reissues. Patience is key.
Yeah that was the problem with me. A lot of these figs came out before I was actively collecting. Patience is key but a lot of the times its not the same thing. So Rhino used to be on my list when he was a BAF and then they came out with the retro version. The retro held up for me and I was good with the new version. Then they came out with Hobgoblin and Lizard and I still want the original ones because the retro's look corny to me. The same thing with the retro Kraven. Sometimes it works but sometimes it doesn't. I guess it's the luck of the draw.
Great conversation. Don't mean to be long-winded, final thoughts: I have passed on, returned or sold off figures because of "paralysis by analysis". Questions like these run through my head with the figure in hand: 1. Why did I buy this/is it for me? 2. Did I buy this because I like it or because it's the new hot thing? 3. Does it fit my collection vision? 4. Can I get it later? Sometimes it the right call, and sometimes it's not. And when it's not, it costly.
@@leftylion816 That's the problem right? If we get it right we're a genius but if we get it wrong we're crazy. We can never win and we have to be right all of the time or risk a big loss.
Majority of what you said, I agree, especially the Galactus, but I mean it was pretty expensive, but yeah, I passed on that hellfire club and the sentinel and I’m now regretting it so much and also I regret not getting that lizard or absorbing man I don’t really regret Hobog goblin because I’m fine with the retro one and also the craving I’m fine with the retro one as well understand people don’t like it, but to me it ain’t that bad

Great video my man! Very cool list. I always enjoy insight on what types of figures people prefer in their collection. My Legends collection is much more influenced from all the 90’s animated series shows, and the MCU. Although I’ve recently went through purging almost everything post Endgame. My biggest Legends regret is not backing the Haslab Sentinel. Don’t know what I was thinking man 🤦🏻♂️
Thank you my brotha! Yeah I'm a little more comic based and less MCU. Although I think the MCU has the best Hulkbuster and Iron Man MK 50 I believe. The Target exclusive that came with the Iron Spider. That's my favorite Iron Man figure I think. The problem with those Haslabs is that the price has us thinking twice. Also that was the first one so I don't think people really knew what to expect off of a picture.
I had my moments like that, not just with Marvel legends, some others as well. MOTU origins Scareglow, Amber collection Velociraptor, Spartan collection The Arbiter and the biggest regret was the G.I Joe classified Snake-Eyes and Timber 2 pack, if only I had considered it as soon as possible I would had gotten it, but oh well, it's not much of a big deal as it sounds in my life.
I remember seeing that Snake eyes and Timber 2 pack for a while in my Walmart. It's funny how something can sit for a minute and then out of nowhere it just spikes up. It's not a big deal to other people but it is to us. We live and we learn right? The next time something pops up it makes us think twice so the regrets turn into lessons.
My main regret was always the end game worthy Cap, but thankfully that regret passed. Also kinda ironic, the Galactus is one I actually regret getting. I got it, opened it verify the contents, and back in the original shipment box it went and has stayed. Wish I had skipped!
