Thanks for introducing this "magic thing". I didn't know about the existence of such a thing. The only thing I would have used is the two tubes mixture of epoxy... Many thanks with my best wishes.
We will preface with this is not a structural product. Do not use for structural applications. Regarding technical specs, once fully cured, RapidSteel has a Shore D Hardness of 80, tensile strength of 900 LBS on steel, 8K PSI compressive strength, and can withstand continuous heat up to 250 Degrees Fahrenheit.
Great question! There are steel particles that have the potential to rust. It also likely will not achieve a high sheen using polish. It would look more like a shiny gray instead of polished steel.
i have a tube but would it be strong enough to hold a bolt the bolt eye has snapped im wndering if this could be a temp fix rather than welding or new parts thanks
Thanks for asking! This is an interesting case. We would need more information to give a solid recommendation. Shoot us an email at getintouch@rockmountwelding.com. We'll can chat over the technical side further and help figure out the best solution from there!
Can I use this on my oxidised neck on water pump I cleaned all the oxidisation off and there’s pitting can I use this to make a smooth surface again to take the radiator hose
Thanks for the question! Mark from Rockmount here. As long as the neck is clean it should work great for that repair! It will fill in the pitting nicely.
Hi @blakemiller9515! Thank you for your question. What type of oven are we talking about and what temperature does it need to withstand? Is there A specific part you need to repair? We can make a recommendation based on what information you can provide.

It is a interesting material. And i want to know how the mechanical behavior it is. Like tensile strength , compressive strength and bond strength.

I have some here just wondering is it ok to chew like gum in order to mix? Cause I tried now I have rapid steel teeth 😮
Hi, does this material rust, and can it be polished to a high sheen?

Does this adhere well to aluminum? I have a hole in an aluminum PC case which I want to fill.
@TXF9a while this isn't a typical application for rapidsteel, it shouldn't have an issue adhering to the aluminum. We would love to hear how it goes!
the beer can is aluminum

I can’t find it on your website
Thanks for the heads up. We’ll get it back online and let you know!
@@rockmountweldingI see it now! Thanks!
I was panicking, because I was worried the beer would go flat before he drank it!

Will it stick to aluminum?
Ever considered a 12 step program 😂
