Mind if I point a few things in Old Sac you missed: 1)The California State Railroad Museum. You can't miss it, it was right across the street from where you were eating a Hamburger. It is considered one of the best Train museums in the country. 2) Ever wonder why old Sac is so much higher than the river? Because in the 1860's it was raised by hand 8 feet. All those street level stores are actually the 2nd story for most buildings. That Sunken patio you ate at, used to be street level and in that patio is a door for underground tours of Old Sacramento. You can take tours under the streets of Old Sac. 3) No mention of the Pony Express which stopped in Old Sacramento, there is a statue next to that tunnel you walked in. 4) All the old Buildings down by the river that were built in the 1860's. That includes the Train Station.
I live in Sac and I can honestly say you filmed this amazingly. I see trash and homeless absolutely everywhere with the smell of piss all over downtown and somehow you made this city look clean and comfortable

Born and raised here, all my family. I've been to all the places you've covered. People seem to like Old Sacramento a lot with it's markets, restaurants and attractions. Old Sac kind of reminds me of Solvang if youve ever visited. There was a glimpse of one of the government building's that you can see when you were standing in old Sac. I worked there for a while😁 have a nice week👍🏼
Old Sac is cool, better to go when they have the old timey actors though. Sacramento I think really shines through with our restaurant/bar scene and coffee shops. Seriously our coffee is that good, we have some of the most serious coffee hipsters running local business roasting the beans in the back of the shop.

You mention Rocklin but the anchor higher end city in Placer County that you really meant to say is Roseville. Those high end stores, nice restaurants etc are in ROSEVILLE. Rocklin is merely an extension of homes in it's own city but have nothing to offer in comparison to that of Roseville. And if you want to talk about the most expensive part of Sac metro in terms of housing its GRANITE BAY, CA, also part of Placer County.

No one needs to take a vacation in such a place. More rural areas of Placer may be worth a drive, but beware if you don't "look right/white" or you may run into a cop-calling Karen/Ken. I'd personally say East Sacramento would be the more upper tier area to live. Roseville is just kind of a city that looks like the suburbs.

Sac is not too far from Lake Tahoe, Reno, San Francisco, Las Vegas etc. Mostly the company you’re with elevate any place you go to dance, eat, or hang out or do dirt/mud/water sports. Those who enjoy in Cali rent or purchase their own gear for trekking landscape of choice. No reason to be confined.

Sacramento is not a pleasant place. The city is corrupt, the county is corrupt. That makes it the perfect place for the California capital. Sacramento does not like poor people, disabled people, homeless people, minorities, and people without vehicles. The public transportation system is one of the worst in the country. Venture to the outskirts of the county and you are in the deep south during the 1950's, just a lighter version. There is no culture. The big tourist trap is old town. A totally manufactured version of how business life was in the old days. The rail museum is decent. Sacramento has no known professional sports to speak of. And that includes the basketball kings. The city gave away a lot of money to the kings from them to stay. And how is that major league soccer debacle going? Probably shouldn't have partnered up with a con man. But they are looking for another con man to partner up with. Got to appreciate the tenacity, but not the stupidity. There are recall drives against the mayor and governor. Both well deserved. So stay away.

Went on a fieldtrip with my son to sac n that shit sucked but it was the way the teachers planned it to much walking back n forth when thy could of just did a big circle to c everything that back n forth waisted a lot of time n got the kids tired n plus it was very hot
Sacramento is not a pleasant place. The city is corrupt, the county is corrupt. That makes it the perfect place for the California capital. Sacramento does not like poor people, disabled people, homeless people, minorities, and people without vehicles. The public transportation system is one of the worst in the country. Venture to the outskirts of the county and you are in the deep south during the 1950's, just a lighter version. There is no culture. The big tourist trap is old town. A totally manufactured version of how business life was in the old days. The rail museum is decent. Sacramento has no known professional sports to speak of. And that includes the basketball kings. The city gave away a lot of money to the kings from them to stay. And how is that major league soccer debacle going? Probably shouldn't have partnered up with a con man. But they are looking for another con man to partner up with. Got to appreciate the tenacity, but not the stupidity. There are recall drives against the mayor and governor. Both well deserved. So stay away.

I find a city is usually as good as the people that live in it. -For the most part, Land is land. And if it's nice... it's because of the people that created it to be that way... and invested into it.
--I also find, If a city is bad. .. it's because of the people who live there... contribute nothing to it.
