I think by far, this Night Out video has being the most vivid representation of what the environment of a restaurant SHOULD LOOK/FEEL like. Makes me think about my business that I ought to do the same. Very very nice representation. Keep up the good work, to the Chefs here and to the individuals who bring forth this footage.
It always makes it feel real and relatable, and fun. That how I try to make my restaurant videos as well so people can feel the experience as much as possible
Wow one of the best episodes of Chefs Night Out. And what a great chef/owner spending the whole night giving shout outs to those who have helped him come out and paying it forward by spotlighting the newer Viet restaurants in nyc. Not to mention consistently giving the credit to his employees for his success.
Rockstar Eater I’m actually not from LA. I’m from Houston. However, after going there, if you want really good Vietnamese, you have to Garden Grove or Westminster area. It’s a about 30 mins outside LA. A few restaurants I can name are Brodards, Garlic and Chives and one spot called Oc and Lau, a hotpot/snail restaurant. 😀
@@RockstarEater Pho79 won a James Beard. There's also Golden Deli in Monterey Park (get the fried egg roll). New Noodle City is my favorite cheap option. KTown pho if you want to stay in LA proper. Also I've heard great things about Oc and Lau and want to go!
@@guru_pete Wow, sounds great. I heard of Garlic and Chives from others, so probably will have to try it. I cover restaurants in LA, so please do follow in if you want to see some great features on the westside!
Finally a group of chefs that i can relate too. Second generation of Vietnamese American show casing the traditional vietnamese food in a new light...Love it.
Amazing how they went by their friends place that wasn’t open yet because they knew it would be great publicity for when it did open, real friends right there
That Johnny hyungh guy from the first restaurant was v familiar and I was right bc munchies did a autobiographical vid on him few years back and it’s crazy that this vid is about his mentor. Crazy to see how far he’s come and like this vid is my fav chefs night out. Warmed my heart
Wow. I love everything about what Dennis and his team seem to be about. He is clearly a cut above and young chefs should be clamoring to be apart of what he's doing.
Hm I remember Johnny'sstory instantly from this channel a while back, I was wondering what had happened to his restaurant Lucy's Place, wanted to try it out; but was listed as permanently closed. Guess he moved onto here, hope he's doing good!
I love this episode. Highlighting my cultural food, not bastadisedx not gentrified... but serving traditional food in a contemporary setting in NYC! Inspired!
@8.32 don’t care where you are from.. NYC, LA, Melbourne, Paris.. when you a Viet kid.. you’re eating all these funky food concoctions.. I always thought I was the only one.. then I found out viet pantry food is a global cuisine 🤣😂🤣😂

One of my favorite Chefs Night Out, hands down. Love the tight community of Vietnamese hospitality folks.
Christine Ha’s presentation of her first dish on MasterChef... one of the greatest moments on food-television.
This one is special. What wholesome content. Wish them all the success's

What a great leader being proud of his heritage and also supporting his ecosystem of chefs of the same Vietnamese heritage - hats off to you chef.
Nice to see the food and also the people behind it sharing their experiences. Shows you how much the two can be connected sometimes.
Nothing like food and company. That's why I love doing collaborations for my episodes.
How kind and respectful this chef is : ' )
The Sous Chef Gerald seemed like a pretty cool guy. I hope he eventually branches out when he's ready to start his own restaurant
Damn homeboys fade is extra CRISPY
This Night Out is one of the best out there 👌🏽
I love Chefs Night Out, and this was one of the best episodes yet.

Yes teamwork is better than one talented person
I agree. I wish I had more on my team so I wouldn't have to be a one man show on my channel. :(
This is awesome
I also recommend Little Sister restaurant in Los angeles. Very similar to the modern vibe of this place.
Class. Pure class.
These are the coolest people ever! What a rad chef/boss.. Good luck to everyone on this episode. Next time I’m in NYC I’m stopping by!
