Great bike I have a 2012 with just 6k on clock...Was my brothers bike from new He decided to buy a Triumph Tiger 900 2022 yep nice bike it has all the goodies traction control ABS blah blah But this must be one of the most overlooked bikes...Yamaha FZ8 has it all for a naked street fighter For me it's just about perfect (I learned to ride on RD250LC and the RD 350 LC's I think in America they were RZ's basically a 2 stroke What you get with a FZ8 is tons of Torque yet amazing power band and stability....it can be a gentleman and a hooligan without fearing the front wheel popping up....these bikes just I was tempted for a MT07 But the actual style and look of the FZ8 is better....whenever I take it out ...Yes so many say Wow that's a cool bike....Then they realise it's a FZ8...The bike once overlooked I honestly think this is a future modern classic...
Great bike. Love mine. Only complaints are a high frequency vibration at highway speed that aggrivates my hands on long rides. Other is the low parking lot speed jerky-ness in 1st gear. The latter can be fixed with a ECU tune
Yeah if you keep them close to stock they last a long time. Only real problems I had with my last FZ8 was with aftermarket parts coming off. One time it was an aftermarket rearset and another it was a heated throttle grip that was slipping.

I have been thinking about getting an ecu flash but don't have the cash for it right now.
