Honestly it looks like the safest aircraft I have ever seen.

Now on limited sale in FALL 2021. What happens if the power suddenly dies? Can you glide it down to a landing or will it just fall straight down? Does it look like a coffin for any particular reason?
There will be a ballistic parachute to use in cases like that

It took off like it was unmanned, dark canopy pretty much tells the tale. As long as the batteries are kept warm the outrunners don't mind the cold. Come on lads its been many months, time for more brave hearts to do some real duration and speed trials. How many laps around the silos and at what speed?
It was manned. They even had a person flying the concept when it was a square box with propellers
When will I be able to buy one in the UK?
You will have to come over to the USA/Canada to buy one and export it yourself initially I guess...
Landing looks really scary
It is automated... actually the whole flight control is computer stabilized and governed... that is why you do not need piloting skills...other than not to throw up...

Among all the other eVTOL vehicles like ehang, lilium, lift etc, Opener's blackfly looks the most efficient and beautiful. Other VTOLs are ugly
Other eVTOL aircraft are optimized for different use case/application...the only 1 person PAV that is on my channel and similar capability is the LIFT HEXA...the military is looking at that...

How much do you need? If you look at the design it is possible to scale it up with more wings/glide ratio and range...
I heard Elon Musk is about to release a similar design, better hurry.
What purpose does this serve exactly? It'll never get certified as an actual aircraft as it's design can never meet a the safety standard. Can it glide? I doubt it, will a ballistics chute save it between 0 and 500ft agl? I doubt it. Sorry to say this is another aircraft that will forever live in the experimental category. Great looking aircraft, but putting humans in it is a horrible idea.
You really have to progress away from this awkward and vulnerable flight mode. It's a terrible design. At least make it tilt wings, then you are pretty close. It's been a year and a half and you have made zero progress?? I know I enjoy a certain privilege of intelligence but how is it not obvious that this flopping fish mode of operation is not the final solution?? Don't be like terrafugia and stubbornly stick to an obviously dead end design and just let the years tragically tick by.
On average it takes 6 years to come up with a working prototype in the eVTOL segment...another 2-3 for production...
