I have the micro streamlight, the triple A model. Carry it every day since 2016. I'll have to pick up the macro. That'd prob be the largest I go for edc. Enjoyed the review 👍

I noticed that the beam was pointed at your legs with the micro/macro but right at your face with the protac. Not saying it would have made a huge difference. Probably due to the bezel being larger and tilting the light upwards.
I’ve had to send 3 different very lightly used Streamlights back to the manufacturer over the last 3 years. That caused me to lose faith in them. The best by far is Surefire. Not even debatable.
I just got the macro had the micro but lost in the woods lol definitely love the “dark” desert tan of the micro but whatever color is color macro is definitely brighter hopefully not too bright cuz I’m a hvac tech and everything is up close.
I’m wondering do people under the influence of substances having a mental health crisis also react predictably to high output white light to the face? I’m wondering because we have a lot of that in my area with homeless people. Thanks for any advice and ideas!
Hey brother hope your well, Great review. Stream light is my go to lights, price to quality/durability is great. I carry a Macrostream for over a year now, my only complaint is that it goes from on to just dead. I really feel it should go from bright to low when the battery drops low enough. Now if you wait a few seconds and fast switch from high to low you may be able to use it in low for a while. But I almost feel I need to carry a second light, I just don't like going from light to zero light, especially if I am out seeing if I need to chase a bear out of my yard.
Thanks for the comment. That's a trade-off that you get with lithium batteries. Unlike Alkaline, which slowly dim sum dim... With lithium, you get full power the whole time. A couple of things I do is keep a spare battery. But also charge it once per week whether I've used it much or not. Thanks for watching!
I love all my streamlights but my favorite everyday carry light is the protac 2l-x rechargeable battery but replaceable if need be great for many tasks and is somewhere between the macro and the hlx fits in the pocket better than my protac hl though . Great videos sir !!

The ProTac 2LX is also a great edc option. I own several Streamlights and love em all.
Couldn't agree more regarding candela. Folks need to understand the difference. This may be the best flashlight video I'd seen.

1L-1AA owner here. I love it. Also able to use 3 types of fuel. CR123, AA, or AAA!

Just picked up the HLX and the thyrm switchback. I don’t mind EDC’ing a larger flashlight.

I've seen my friend's pro tac die after one month.. Only drop twice from 2 feet.. It should have been able to survive that.

I got a macrostream, pro tac 1L aa, and the big sidewinder for attaching to the plate carrier very dope lights
