The whole video I’m looking at mine, and looking at yours, and saying to myself God, this guy is good. well done 👍
@@ryan199948 thank you!!
You make the process look soooo easy!! You're such a talented person. Thanks for the video
@@SoufianeTahiri thank you!!
The book is wonderful, inspiring and educational. I've been thru it several times now. I tend to carve more in the winter next to the wood stove. I may break that pattern, thank you Alec.
That means a lot Stan! Appreciate it
Once again, epic. It just keeps on going. You must have lots of these small pieces of art. Thanks for sharing. Tony.
You're a content machine, Alec!
Thanks for all these videos - you're rapidly heading to be the biggest carver on UA-cam. Good job man!
Thank you! 😂
It's incredible how simply you make it look . What an awesome result , looking forward to your videos to keep on learning . Thanks for sharing your work and knowledge! Greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴 !
Thank you! Cheers!
I can’t wait to do this one I started a native one also but had carpal tunnel and pinch nerve on my good right hand 😂surgery so getting back slowly just ordered your book and wood illustration thank you for all the videos I watch them all learning a lot
Heal up brother! My pleasure!
Great video love the simplicity but the great detail from it Thank you.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Great little carve 👍
Got your book awesome 👍
Thanks for lesson, man! I've learned a lot thanks to you!
My pleasure!
Gracias Alec, hermoso tu trabajo, saludos desde Chile
Awesome man. Thanks ❤
Great job Alec! I am definitely going to be giving that a go. Wish I could do one of your classes but have no interest in big cottonwood carvings. I am strictly a knife carver and that is why I love these knife only videos. Thanks for all you do for the art of carving wood. Be blessed :)
@@jmac4779 my pleasure! You too!
My new favorite channel 👍🏻
I got to 'face it'...I need to practice faces! Thanks my friend for your skills sharing!
Great job Alec .. Your faces are top notch
Thank you Gene!!
Amazing
I’m learning how to do carving not to hit any patterns you might advise to use. Or how free hand like you doing in video
I’m totally making this one dude! Hey great job quoting Abe Lincoln as well🤪🙌🇺🇸
Hope you and yours are well sir👌
Thank you! And yes, I know! I should be a historian! 😂
I always carve outside, the light is soo much better.
Alec ! Do you not prefer the tri jack instead? One with the small detailer blade. No diss to this one u used. I’m just curious if you own the other cause I was thinking about buying it? Tu friend love what you carved
@AlecLaCasseArt Could you please tell me how you built the handheld strop? If you have time. Thanks. If not, I understand, you seem like a very busy man 👍🏻
Nice 😍
Great video. Thanks. Ps I think you have a v tool in that pocket knife.
Hey Alec ! I was wondering if you get your get bark wood at and would I be able buy it too!
Your book came in . Great book, thanks. I would go as far as saying it is one of the best carving books on faces that i have. I have quite a few of them. Be tween you and ddalo_carver carver im starting to get fairly good at this thank you both . But Great book. You that carve and dont have it. Get it.
@@fngrusty42 thank you so much!!
Alec i'd love to hear your opinion, or other wood carvers here.. Would it actually be possible to turn wood carving in to a full time job/career? That's my "big plan", because i want my career to be meaninful and important for me. I know it's going to be rocky road and i won't get rich doing it, but objectively speaking could it be possible to turn it into career over time? Is there a gap big enough in the market for me to strike in if i work hard and be patient/smart about it?
Do you prefer a rough texture on the faces or sanding smooth
@@stanleyrokusek5477 I like it to be somewhere in between!
@@stanleyrokusek5477 slightly on the side of smooth
I grew up in Battle Creek, now live in southwest England where we buy fuel by the litre but talk miles per gallon and we measure with the metric system but I’m 5 feet 10 inches tall!
Love watching your videos and hearing the familiar sounds in the background!
Waiting for delivery of your book, looking forward to it.
@@timpier7817 that sounds confusing ! Cheers to a fellow Michigander! Be well sir

Am I the only one that get claustrophobia with that humongous of a knife??
Sorry but it is the English who invented the Imperial system of measurement.
@@buckbeans1 but it was the Americans who put it on the map
Отличный видеоурок👍
