Good vid Paul. The worst thing about soft pastels is the bloody dust! Fine if you have a dedicated studio, which I don't! I also tend to overthink the thing and end up putting in too much detail, which is not what I want to do. The paintings look fine and impress the people that see them, but they don't impress me. I'll get there eventually, I hope 😊

Thanks for the video! I belong to one of those artist who love to paint with soft pastel. Have you try painting on velour paper? It's nice....I also paint with oil pastel and it is so nice to paint on velour. Mostly I use sketch paper. I love the way you paint and your watercolor paintings. My media to paint with is watercolor, soft/oil pastel and oil. Interesting to watch your UA-cam. Excuse me for my English, I am from Sweden. Wish you a lovely day!!

Thank you for your comment. I used velour paper before with soft pastels. These days I usually use drawing paper.
