Dont consume umbilical cords if u want to get al endings with one character,if u consume them now and choose to play new game + u will get the same ending since ur character has consumed umbilical cords ..

Bloodborne was my first game in the souls series and Ludwig was in a league of his own. While fighting him I finally understood bloodborne and why it already has a place among the most legendary games of all time.
@@shinigami2192 no I meant the one in the arena, the guy at the start of the cutscene. He usually got killed during our fight with ludwig (ran over by Ludwig). But if he survived, you can actually talk to the guy
A not very well known fact is that when you are just about to kill Ludwig, he will usually stagger and give you the option to visceral attack him. Because of this, he has two death animations, one reacting the visceral attack, and one not reacting to the visceral attack. If you don't kill him with a visceral attack, he dies screaming like he does in his first phase - like a beast. If you visceral attack him, he dies with a far more human sounding noise. Essentially, by killing him with a visceral attack you are granting him a honorable death, whereas the other you are treating him as a beast. Another fun fact is that in his second phase he's no longer considered a "beast" enemy, so serrated and fire damage don't do as much damage to him.

Ludwig remembering himself, his duty, his guide through violent hunts, madness and blood, and bringing it all together for a monster turned knightly hero. It's incredible. We had no idea when the moonlight GS would show up but it was worth it.

Great episode! Ludwig's weapon (the moonlight sword) is the staple From Software weapon in all their games. Ranni gives you the moonlight sword at the end of her quest in elden ring.
Slightly interesting note: That white robed woman shooting blue bolts at you was Vicar Amelia, she even prays to the same type of statue (worshipping Laurence) and mutters the same words. And when you saw what you thought was the Grand Cathedral in your Ebrietas episode, you were right, it actually was, and upper cathedral ward was there the whole time, just letting you know now cause you might ask the same thing when you see something oddly similar to Grand Cathedral in the Nightmare.
Fun fact: his sword is a recurring theme in FromSoft's games as well - big Moonlight Swords that shoot projectiles have been a thing in most of their games: from Kingsfield, Armored Core, the Souls games, and the Darkmoon Greatsword from Elden Ring is the newest version of it I love the little detail in his phase transition that his sword obscures the less-human half of his face right at the end

@Loran Morningstar There are other playthroughs where players die several times to Ludwig using the saw cleaver, maybe check them out. Just because he beat this boss easily from experience you came up with an excuse ? His damage is also high due to him having good gems installed rather than the weapon. And yeah saw cleaver is a strong weapon but there are even more overpowered weapons like the whirlgig saw.
Congrats. Since you've killed Malenia you've become a Fromsoftware God in the older games. You aren't overlevelled man. When Bloodborne came out it Ludwig was a level of difficulty no Fromsoftware game had reached before. Nowadays though, bosses have become harder and harder, so it might seem like Ludwig is easy now but back then, this was insanely hard.
@@berryamv2296 disagree though had more issues with Ludwig than living failures that i completed nearly first try every time ive fought them. Spoilers below: You can take your time with the living failures plus the meteor attack only comes from 1 direction so you can just use the massive sunflower as a shield from that and still even whack more of the bosses hp away at the same time.

It's so awesome to see a person react to Ludwig and his music for the first time. He's one of my favorite Bosses and I'm glad to see you enjoy it. Btw 3 or 4 TRIES. He is one of the hardest bosses in the game and you beat him that quick. Dang the skills
Perhaps the people that hyped up Ludwig played against him on NG+ where some of his attacks kill on one hit and his HP is much higher. Sick boss for sure. Love the series!
I got to say, I'm very impressed with how you handled the ludwig fight. I fought him on new game+ for the first time, he wrecked me every single chance he got for awhile. Bravo good hunter.

Something not really explained in the game that you've experienced resulting in you asking what is happening is that large enemies like Cleric Beast, Vicar Amelia, Darkbeast Paarl, Amygdala, One Reborn, Ebrietas and now Ludwig is that you can break their limbs, crippling them and allowing you to deal increased damage. Congrats on the win F to Ludwig, truly a tragedy.
Ludwig is probably my favourite boss ever, not just in a fromsoft game but in any game I've played, and the same goes for the music too. Everything about the design and everything just works and fits perfectly, especially the very fanservice-y re-introduction of the moonlight greatsword, which has been a recurring weapon in fromsoft games for at least a couple decades now. He even changes mechanically when he enters phase 2, e.g. serrated weapons like the saw cleaver do more damage against beasts but he loses his beast status in phase 2 when he regains some sanity! You did really well against him, you're not overleveled! Most people I've seen take well over 15-20 attempts! Ok, finally some tips; you have access to the best/easiest blood vial farming in the game, the Eric Andre meme guy that dropped 5 vials outside Ludwig's boss room can be farmed and he drops 5 every time. Also, I don't know if it seems like a weapon you're gonna be using but try holding L2 for the transformed form of the Pizza Cutter!
On my first playthrough, Ludwig was my hardest boss so kudos to knocking him out so quickly! I honestly think you play this game better than I do. Lol I managed to beat him in two goes during my second playthrough, but by then I had experience. The FINAL boss of this DLC, however...

Hat's off, taking Ludwig down on your third attempt! You have no idea how long it took me to even reach his second phase. Having played Elden Ring before, especially fighting Malenia and Maliketh might have helped, but still... It's really fun watching you play Bloodborne the first time as it makes me relive the moments of surprise and awe on my first playthrough. Looking forward to the next bosses getting slain the Gago way 🙂
I‘m stunned, beating Ludwig at Level 76 this easily... it almost looked like you knew exactly how to dodge every attack (not implying you looked the fight up or anything). There are videos of streamers dying like 60 times to Ludwig. You‘ve become very good at this. Here‘s an idea: what about doing a PVP session after you beat the game, you against the community? Would be a lot of fun I think. Again: very well done.

It's cool that you notice stuff from this game that made its way into Elden Ring. You'll find that stuff in Elden Ring shows up in every single Souls game. It's really cool how much connective tissue exists throughout the games.
Everytime the second phase start and song turns, bro! Chills literally chills! Also, nice gaming defeating Ludwig, a lot of other people who played or streamed the game have a lot of trouble with him, the saw cleaver and the fire paper are a good choice to fight beasts, and that proves you're getting better at the souls games too, keep going.
Arianna was impregnated by Oedon. Oedon is a great one so above our possibility of insight, that nobody knows his form or if he even has one. Also read the item descriptions of the cords. Every one has a different one! We already know that Ludwig was the first official hunter of the healing church. Before him the workshop worked in secret to hide the scourge. He established new methods of hunting beasts and the hunters of his generation used far bigger weapons. These required stronger hunters to use but these hunters would then transform into even bigger more hideous beasts. So it was a cycle of doom. Ludwig was also one of the tomb prospectors that explored the old tunnels on behalf of the healing church. He searched the labyrinth for an answer to the scourge and some day he found the holy moonlight blade. The blade offered him guidance. A thread of light only he could see and it took all his fear from him while hunting. He let the blade guide his very movements and became a weapon like no other for the church. He became so drunk from all the bloodshed that he was finally dragged into the hunters nightmare where we find him on a pile of corpses. Redgraves paleblood hunt says that "with every swing of the sword he descended further into beasthood". What a badass end for a man like him.
Vermin are what Valtr wants you to hunt down. He’s the guy you met near the elevator in the Forbidden Woods that had you join a league. There’s only 5 of them in game and you have to have the Impurity rune equipped for them to drop so make sure you don’t take it off until you find all 5. When you do find them all you can take them back to Valtr and finish his quest which will get you one of the most bad ass arcane weapons.
The girl in the white dress near the end of the episode is actually Vicar Amelia, after you killed her her mind was ripped into the nightmare where she now resides. You can tell its her because she recites the same chant.
My second souls game was BB. But that's where it actually clicked after playing Dark Souls 2. These DLC bosses except 1 are some of my favorites of all time even after Elden Ring. Matias you are goated and super inspiring.
I don't know if u have noticed, when u kill a hunter in the DLC at least, the sound effects triggered by their death is the same u hear when u teleport back to the hunters dream, cool detail right? This are the lil things that make me feel in love with all fromsoftware games
I believe everyone was saying that you could be stuck here for days but they forgot you have already beaten the hardest boss in any Fromsoft game and IF ANY Bloodborne boss could give you some trouble, it could be the last DLC boss but then again there will never be anyone harder than Malenia. You instinctively are used to this rhythm of fight in bosses because Elden Ring, and i love how you handle this fight Mati. I don't know if you read my second comment in the last video, i recommended you to go back to those stairs where the ball of fire is thrown at you and explore the left side of them, you missed some old hunters gear . Finally congrats on beating Ludwig and reaching 7k subs. Keep it up handsome!! ❤

Coming to Bloodborne via the Demon's Souls/Dark Souls route this boss (and some other erratically moving ones) was truly the stuff of nightmares. I'd say it took a day or two to bring this horse down to the glue factory. PS: On the run you defeated Ludwig the wise words from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly came to my mind: "When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk." (I have to be honest, I was a bit expecting you to get killed when after the big sword's energy wave slam you started talking and the fight wasn't over.) =)

Spoiler: The Mohg of this game would be Lady Maria, and Orphan of Kos being Malenia. People like to compare Maria and Malenia a lot, but Maria is much more fair, balanced, and more smilar to Mohg than she is to Malenia with her blood theme, and the MASSIVE delayed attacks. While Orphan shares Malenia´s agression and ability to cause an aneurysm to anyone going against it.

The Sword that Ludwig was using in the 2nd phase is the Darkmoon Greatsword from Ranni's Questline. Every Soulsborne game has a version of it except Sekiro.
I HIGHLY reccomend you use the beasthunter Saif, its a faster saw cleaver with distance closers. If you use it, you wont regret it. Def my favorite weapon in the game.
Good old Ludwig got me goood… Took me hours of trying and ended up asking another Hooonter to help out, together we got him first try lol. It was the first and only Boss I asked for help, I don’t know, I couldn’t beat him lol. Definitely level up the Pizzacutter and please take a closer look at your Bloodgems, you can add elemental effects like fire to weapons! Also do more chalice dungeons, they are full of some of the best Bloodgems AND different Weapon Variations that hold different types of Bloodgems for even stronger upgrades! For one of the upcoming bosses I habe a video of me fighting it with an Arcane hybrid build. It shows what some of the tools can do if you’re interested just watch it after you fought the boss haha.
You finally meet Ludwig! His entire concept is just amazingly awesome. His second phase is pivotal! Every other human fell to the curse of beasthood and lost their humanity. But Ludwig? His guiding moonlight brought his humanity back. Once you've explored enough, be sure to check the place where you found the Eye Pendant.
Yeah man Ludwig's a beast of a boss. I stupidly went into new game + before having the DLC and he was super annoying but in a wierdly fun way. The music is a masterpiece like a lot of tracks from Bloodborne. It's always good to see people having fun with the hard ones cause learning them through trial and error is a great feeling.
Starting a new game, NG+ with the dlc is just too hard. I have ludwigs holy blade fully upgraded and I'm taking so much damage from one hit, the weapon is doing so little against him so I decided to just start a new game and continue with the dlc

Loving the content bro. Been following since Bloodborne day one. Caught up on some of your Elden ring episodes lastnight. Malenia had you pinned down🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Ludwig was the first hunter of the Healing Church Workshop created to replace Gehrman's Workshop. Its founding marked when hunters went from silent kills at night to out in the open hunts. The Holy Moonlight Sword wasn't forged in the Workshop, it was found by Lugwig in the Chalice Dungeons. It's a somewhat sentient blade and it communicates with its wielder. The Guidance Rune that Lugwig dropped elaborates on this (it also boosts rally potential which means it increases the health you get back by attacking after being hit). When we find Ludwig he's a beast but The Holy Moonlight Sword pulls his consciousness forward in the second phase. That's why his name changes from Ludwig, the Accursed to Ludwig, the Holy Blade. The Moonlight Sword is From Software's mascot. It's in every game. The name is slightly different in each but it's always in their games. With the exception of Sekiro I believe. In the Dark Souls series it's called the Moonlight Greatsword and in Elden Ring it's called the Dark Moon Greatsword. If you do get the 14 arcane required to wield it, it's viable to put physical dmg up gems in it as the physical dmg is greater than the arcane part and it scales very well with strength.
My favorite boss ost, of any game, ever. Including plin plin plon from ds3. And that's great, too.. But this is just damn near perfect. It's epic in many ways and very memorable as a gamer. Imagine being at a live concert with an orchestra for this song..
Make sure to explore zones really thoroughly. There's a ton of strong items to found in the DLC and easy to miss because they're tucked away in unassuming nooks.
A respectable pick for a new fave (he's in my top 5)! I also beat Ludwig in much few tries than first expected, LOL. Much like the main game, the DLC opens up STRONG with its first required boss...and flips it on its head! Comparing and contrasting...Gascoigne, a man who descended into being a beast over the course of the bout; and Ludwig, a beast who then recovered his humanity for one last epic showdown. And still the best use of Fromsoft's iconic Moonlight Greatsword to date, IMO. But, how will you react to my personal favorite in not too many episodes now, I wonder...
Leeets go! 3rd time playing Bloodborne was my first time doing DLC. Ludwig gave me the most trouble for sure tbh. People seem to have different troubling bosses though. Last one is considered by a lot of ppl to be one of or the hardest of all soulsborne bosses
Ludwig's OST is definitely one of my alltime favorites. My favorite boos in the game tho, you'll meet her a little bit later. A beautiful Lady, with also an incredibly OST~
nah you did really well with Ludwig, he almost got you right at the end but for some reason you had him like stagger locked! i played it before the tuning/quality of life patch (released around the time the gamee of the year edition came out) and by the time the dlc came out I was in NG+1 and had the genius idea of doing my first run through it on that character: it was hell, one of the last bosses was near unbeatable solo before they adjusted it (only slightly) also you'll see bosses and enemies use different moves or more frequently, Bloodborne is truly one of a kind, and was probably the only platinum trophies i enjoyed getting throughout the entire process
Imma just say that I love this. As others said, it's like I'm watching a friend experience my fav game. For me, just imagine. First time playing a FromSoft game. First time playing with a controler. After 30+ attempts with a +3 saw cleaver with no gems.. I knew every note in the score, but victory was still not there xD Yeah. Papa Ludwig thought me how tough love works. Keep up the good work! You need to go to the hunters dream and then go back to the Boss room to talk with Simon again.

Perhaps the people that hyped up Ludwig played against him on NG+ where some of his attacks kill on one hit and his HP is much higher. Sick boss for sure. Love the series!

Something not really explained in the game that you've experienced resulting in you asking what is happening is that large enemies like Cleric Beast, Vicar Amelia, Darkbeast Paarl, Amygdala, One Reborn, Ebrietas and now Ludwig is that you can break their limbs, crippling them and allowing you to deal increased damage. Congrats on the win F to Ludwig, truly a tragedy.

Ludwig is probably my favourite boss ever, not just in a fromsoft game but in any game I've played, and the same goes for the music too. Everything about the design and everything just works and fits perfectly, especially the very fanservice-y re-introduction of the moonlight greatsword, which has been a recurring weapon in fromsoft games for at least a couple decades now. He even changes mechanically when he enters phase 2, e.g. serrated weapons like the saw cleaver do more damage against beasts but he loses his beast status in phase 2 when he regains some sanity!
You did really well against him, you're not overleveled! Most people I've seen take well over 15-20 attempts!
Ok, finally some tips; you have access to the best/easiest blood vial farming in the game, the Eric Andre meme guy that dropped 5 vials outside Ludwig's boss room can be farmed and he drops 5 every time. Also, I don't know if it seems like a weapon you're gonna be using but try holding L2 for the transformed form of the Pizza Cutter!
On my first playthrough, Ludwig was my hardest boss so kudos to knocking him out so quickly! I honestly think you play this game better than I do. Lol
I managed to beat him in two goes during my second playthrough, but by then I had experience. The FINAL boss of this DLC, however...

Hat's off, taking Ludwig down on your third attempt! You have no idea how long it took me to even reach his second phase. Having played Elden Ring before, especially fighting Malenia and Maliketh might have helped, but still... It's really fun watching you play Bloodborne the first time as it makes me relive the moments of surprise and awe on my first playthrough. Looking forward to the next bosses getting slain the Gago way 🙂

I‘m stunned, beating Ludwig at Level 76 this easily... it almost looked like you knew exactly how to dodge every attack (not implying you looked the fight up or anything). There are videos of streamers dying like 60 times to Ludwig. You‘ve become very good at this.

It's cool that you notice stuff from this game that made its way into Elden Ring. You'll find that stuff in Elden Ring shows up in every single Souls game. It's really cool how much connective tissue exists throughout the games.
Everytime the second phase start and song turns, bro! Chills literally chills! Also, nice gaming defeating Ludwig, a lot of other people who played or streamed the game have a lot of trouble with him, the saw cleaver and the fire paper are a good choice to fight beasts, and that proves you're getting better at the souls games too, keep going.

We already know that Ludwig was the first official hunter of the healing church. Before him the workshop worked in secret to hide the scourge. He established new methods of hunting beasts and the hunters of his generation used far bigger weapons. These required stronger hunters to use but these hunters would then transform into even bigger more hideous beasts. So it was a cycle of doom. Ludwig was also one of the tomb prospectors that explored the old tunnels on behalf of the healing church. He searched the labyrinth for an answer to the scourge and some day he found the holy moonlight blade.
The blade offered him guidance. A thread of light only he could see and it took all his fear from him while hunting. He let the blade guide his very movements and became a weapon like no other for the church. He became so drunk from all the bloodshed that he was finally dragged into the hunters nightmare where we find him on a pile of corpses.
Redgraves paleblood hunt says that "with every swing of the sword he descended further into beasthood". What a badass end for a man like him.

Vermin are what Valtr wants you to hunt down. He’s the guy you met near the elevator in the Forbidden Woods that had you join a league. There’s only 5 of them in game and you have to have the Impurity rune equipped for them to drop so make sure you don’t take it off until you find all 5. When you do find them all you can take them back to Valtr and finish his quest which will get you one of the most bad ass arcane weapons.
The girl in the white dress near the end of the episode is actually Vicar Amelia, after you killed her her mind was ripped into the nightmare where she now resides. You can tell its her because she recites the same chant.

My second souls game was BB. But that's where it actually clicked after playing Dark Souls 2. These DLC bosses except 1 are some of my favorites of all time even after Elden Ring. Matias you are goated and super inspiring.

I believe everyone was saying that you could be stuck here for days but they forgot you have already beaten the hardest boss in any Fromsoft game and IF ANY Bloodborne boss could give you some trouble, it could be the last DLC boss but then again there will never be anyone harder than Malenia. You instinctively are used to this rhythm of fight in bosses because Elden Ring, and i love how you handle this fight Mati. I don't know if you read my second comment in the last video, i recommended you to go back to those stairs where the ball of fire is thrown at you and explore the left side of them, you missed some old hunters gear . Finally congrats on beating Ludwig and reaching 7k subs. Keep it up handsome!! ❤

Coming to Bloodborne via the Demon's Souls/Dark Souls route this boss (and some other erratically moving ones) was truly the stuff of nightmares. I'd say it took a day or two to bring this horse down to the glue factory.
PS: On the run you defeated Ludwig the wise words from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly came to my mind: "When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk." (I have to be honest, I was a bit expecting you to get killed when after the big sword's energy wave slam you started talking and the fight wasn't over.) =)

Ludwig is basically this game´s Malekith. There is also an equivalent of Mohg and Malenia later on in the dlc, but no spoilers.
Spoiler: The Mohg of this game would be Lady Maria, and Orphan of Kos being Malenia. People like to compare Maria and Malenia a lot, but Maria is much more fair, balanced, and more smilar to Mohg than she is to Malenia with her blood theme, and the MASSIVE delayed attacks. While Orphan shares Malenia´s agression and ability to cause an aneurysm to anyone going against it.

The Sword that Ludwig was using in the 2nd phase is the Darkmoon Greatsword from Ranni's Questline. Every Soulsborne game has a version of it except Sekiro.

i love this boss fight, this is the only video what has a high volume to that epic soundtrack.
I HIGHLY reccomend you use the beasthunter Saif, its a faster saw cleaver with distance closers. If you use it, you wont regret it. Def my favorite weapon in the game.

Good old Ludwig got me goood… Took me hours of trying and ended up asking another Hooonter to help out, together we got him first try lol. It was the first and only Boss I asked for help, I don’t know, I couldn’t beat him lol.
Definitely level up the Pizzacutter and please take a closer look at your Bloodgems, you can add elemental effects like fire to weapons! Also do more chalice dungeons, they are full of some of the best Bloodgems AND different Weapon Variations that hold different types of Bloodgems for even stronger upgrades!
For one of the upcoming bosses I habe a video of me fighting it with an Arcane hybrid build. It shows what some of the tools can do if you’re interested just watch it after you fought the boss haha.

You finally meet Ludwig! His entire concept is just amazingly awesome. His second phase is pivotal! Every other human fell to the curse of beasthood and lost their humanity. But Ludwig? His guiding moonlight brought his humanity back. Once you've explored enough, be sure to check the place where you found the Eye Pendant.
Yeah man Ludwig's a beast of a boss. I stupidly went into new game + before having the DLC and he was super annoying but in a wierdly fun way. The music is a masterpiece like a lot of tracks from Bloodborne. It's always good to see people having fun with the hard ones cause learning them through trial and error is a great feeling.
Starting a new game, NG+ with the dlc is just too hard. I have ludwigs holy blade fully upgraded and I'm taking so much damage from one hit, the weapon is doing so little against him so I decided to just start a new game and continue with the dlc
finally caught back up with recent uploads lol you're getting better and better at these games and it makes me excited to see how you'll approach a more slow and methodical game like demon's souls and dark souls 1

Ludwig was the first hunter of the Healing Church Workshop created to replace Gehrman's Workshop. Its founding marked when hunters went from silent kills at night to out in the open hunts. The Holy Moonlight Sword wasn't forged in the Workshop, it was found by Lugwig in the Chalice Dungeons. It's a somewhat sentient blade and it communicates with its wielder. The Guidance Rune that Lugwig dropped elaborates on this (it also boosts rally potential which means it increases the health you get back by attacking after being hit). When we find Ludwig he's a beast but The Holy Moonlight Sword pulls his consciousness forward in the second phase. That's why his name changes from Ludwig, the Accursed to Ludwig, the Holy Blade.
The Moonlight Sword is From Software's mascot. It's in every game. The name is slightly different in each but it's always in their games. With the exception of Sekiro I believe. In the Dark Souls series it's called the Moonlight Greatsword and in Elden Ring it's called the Dark Moon Greatsword. If you do get the 14 arcane required to wield it, it's viable to put physical dmg up gems in it as the physical dmg is greater than the arcane part and it scales very well with strength.
My favorite boss ost, of any game, ever. Including plin plin plon from ds3. And that's great, too.. But this is just damn near perfect. It's epic in many ways and very memorable as a gamer. Imagine being at a live concert with an orchestra for this song..
Make sure to explore zones really thoroughly. There's a ton of strong items to found in the DLC and easy to miss because they're tucked away in unassuming nooks.
A respectable pick for a new fave (he's in my top 5)! I also beat Ludwig in much few tries than first expected, LOL.
Much like the main game, the DLC opens up STRONG with its first required boss...and flips it on its head! Comparing and contrasting...Gascoigne, a man who descended into being a beast over the course of the bout; and Ludwig, a beast who then recovered his humanity for one last epic showdown. And still the best use of Fromsoft's iconic Moonlight Greatsword to date, IMO.
But, how will you react to my personal favorite in not too many episodes now, I wonder...

Leeets go! 3rd time playing Bloodborne was my first time doing DLC. Ludwig gave me the most trouble for sure tbh. People seem to have different troubling bosses though. Last one is considered by a lot of ppl to be one of or the hardest of all soulsborne bosses
Ludwig's OST is definitely one of my alltime favorites. My favorite boos in the game tho, you'll meet her a little bit later. A beautiful Lady, with also an incredibly OST~

i played it before the tuning/quality of life patch (released around the time the gamee of the year edition came out) and by the time the dlc came out I was in NG+1 and had the genius idea of doing my first run through it on that character: it was hell, one of the last bosses was near unbeatable solo before they adjusted it (only slightly) also you'll see bosses and enemies use different moves or more frequently, Bloodborne is truly one of a kind, and was probably the only platinum trophies i enjoyed getting throughout the entire process
Imma just say that I love this. As others said, it's like I'm watching a friend experience my fav game.
For me, just imagine. First time playing a FromSoft game. First time playing with a controler. After 30+ attempts with a +3 saw cleaver with no gems.. I knew every note in the score, but victory was still not there xD Yeah. Papa Ludwig thought me how tough love works.
