I think in the women’s game you see more offensive rebounding because they don’t value transition as much. Conversely, in the men’s game, you’ll have a guard out rebound a post player because the post player runs back to prevent transition. Great video!
I would be interested in the mid-range jumper being discussed more. Is this preferred more than a kick out 3 because 3-point percentage isn't high enough to take that risk? Are women's mid-range jumpers more accurate creating more value. Bedsides Caitlin are there any other programs that have the three-point percentage trending high enough that the mid-range should start getting eliminated like in men's
REALLY good question. I don’t know that I’d be able to find enough statistical evidence to prove anything, but I’ll watch some tape & put together a vid on some anecdotal evidence.
No teams in particular, maybe videos on particularly strong offenses or defenses. If I were to come up with a topic, it would be how women's teams neutralize such drastic size differences (defense, rebounding, using speed or spacing to attack mismatches offensively).@@TheFilmRoom1
I like wbb more, I think a big part of it is the talent that is in the NCAA Like for mens, now some guys go to the G League, there are lots of international prospects and they just play overseas, you got OTE and even the dudes that do go to college, the really good ones are mostly one and dones For womens, all the best young talent in the world is in the NCAA, they (sadly) dont have other options and most of them stay 4 years which makes it even more exciting.
I agree with that. Someone talked about who the roster in 2020 should have been for Kentucky if nobody left for the NBA early and the roster was insane. The women’s game does give you that aspect which personally, I enjoy.
Do you see any parallels between the WBB you analyzed and older styles (say, pre-Jordan) of NBA play? Big bruising posts, height emphasis, midrange/post touches and. a lack of 3 point emphasis? The exception to this would be officiating. What do you think?
I think that’s a decent comparison. The NBA game of old was definitely more about those things you mentioned, and its morphed into a guard dominant league recently, so I’d say that’s a pretty good observation.
I'm always hearing about women screaming for equality. In that case, the balls should be exactly the same size. If you are going to use a smaller ball, the circumference of the rim should be smaller. BE FAIR!!!!!

Thanks Adam! Insightful comment, that’s a great point
Refs seriously kill the women's game. Hate the way its officiated more than anything.
And we backkk
This is dope. Can you do FIBA vs NBA next?
It’ll take me a little while to get that done, but I do plan on making a video of that eventually. Great idea!
Appreciate the honest answer. Take your time, I haven't seen a video like that either so it could be cool for the algorithm@@TheFilmRoom1
We love getting the attention of the algorithm haha
Would love it if you did more vids breaking down the women’s game! Great stuff as always my man!
I’ll get to more of that stuff. Any suggestions on what team (or part of the game) you’d like to see? I’ll give you dibs on the first topic.

I play varsity ball and are team shoots way more outside shots than are girls team they live and die by post touches
That seems to align with what I see when I watch both games as well. Thanks for your comment!
