I will never forget the epilogue of this game, the final rendition of The Unsung War playing in this somber, but hopeful tone. The image of the flags and text about Razgriz, followed by that beautiful shot of Kirk howling at the sky while the birds fly off from Sand Island. Gorgeous game with a great message that honestly holds up.
The funniest thing about the entire 'trial for misconduct', there are black boxes on fighter jets too, and they are tracked very well on radar. Easy to point out they were not where the incident occurred. Plus, video recorders are often going too. It should be more suspicious if all that just disappeared.
I'm a little late to the party It was clear from the beginning that sand island was full of belkan spies and military troops working under the ocean army, Colonel perralt or whatever his name was disappears from existence after the mission last scape, Hamilton was also a belkan soldier disguise as a Osea soldier. The reason why they got away with a lot of things in the game was because belka had a lot of troops and spies infiltrated in the Osea army as shown in the mission "a handful of hope" when the president kills 2 spies and wounds a secretary ....
Ace Combat 5 is my favorite game in the franchise. When I played it for the first time I was 10 years old and I barely understood English, but even so, the little I understood, along with the scenes, the gameplay, the music and the story that unfolded were enough to captivate me. It was the first game that made me feel the death of a character and put me completely into the role to finish the last mission. I remember being in the store, looking for a fighter jet game to play during the summer and choosing between Ace Combat 4, 5 and Zero :')
Ace combat 5 is my favorite of all Ace Combat games, the story, the amazing characters, the music all just amazing plus I think it has the most heart of the entire franchise
I remember playing this one, it was 3/4 in 2018, right after I finished all the chronological instalments up to AC5, it was right after i took a break because i couldn't really internalize 4, because 3 was amazing, but after a couple of weeks, i went back to 4 to play it again, and then started this game. this was the one that had a lot of budget, actors and passion across the border, this was a real joy to play. thank god i pre ordered 7 so now i have AC5 on PS5. not any of the AC games are hard to emulate.
Personally, i think ac5 was the best out of the three, ac4 it self is amazing with interesting ways of narrating the story, but it felt kinda empty on some missions. AC zero was amazing as well with refined physics from ac5 and ac4 with wonderful brotherhood but sometimes i feel that the relationship with pixy and the story could've been exploited more since it only has 18 missions. But i think Ac5 was the best of the bunch, 23 missions i think and an extra mission that you can play as mobius 1 and the story and the team made me cry, especially chopper's death and president harling speech and the yuktobania ship that switch to our side are one of many moments that shook my heart.
My absolute favorite as well. Best character development and characters. It amazes me still that an arcade flight game could tell such an engrossing story.
I'm surprised you didn't mention about the coin flip missions as to what the community refers to them as There's two are them throughout the game. The first one happens, a few missions before the trial. When Chopper asks, Did you listen to that song? for example, once the trials interrupted, They'll go on to say that they have multiple emergencies. And thay say, let's use this to decide then they flip a coin. depending on your choice of yes or no you made earlier it will be Mission A or Mission B, You got Mission B which is defending the airport at 16:00 the A mission is neutralizing a gas attack. edit had to find the right line in the game I can't reameber were the 2ed one is though
Growing up, I played AC5 first, so it has a very special place for me. But then Zero came out, and I lived, ate, breathed, slept ACZero. Oh my god I loved it so much, and to this day, Zero is my favorite of the 3. I also played 4, and for some reason, just couldn't get into it as much. I think a loarge part of it was, I just didn't understand the story telling at that point. I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the cut scenes. I'm going to go back and play it and see how I feel afterwards.
So 4 takes place between Zero and 5 on the timeline. It's definitely a different story telling style, but I loved learning about Yellow Squadron and their leader. I also preferred 4's flight model. It's close between 4 and Zero for me, but honestly all 3 are great in their own right.
This game along with Shattered Skies, and The Belkan War are my top games ever played. I blew up when I saw I could play them on PCSX2 with better graphics.
AC5 was my favorite of the Ace Combat games on the PS2 due to the story and the music. The Scinfaxi and Hrimfaxi leitmotifs in particular being cofavorites; those two submarines also led me into a brief period of interest in Norse mythology. Of course, the passage of time has changed my perspective of things and revisiting AC5 in this retrospective made some of those things apparent. For better or worse, the cutscenes were very cinematic but tropy in ways I don't like. E.g. the Yukobanian fleet being depicted in a very tight formation for visual effect but would in reality be too close to each other to be combat effective. Or the radio chatter lacking brevity and terminology one might realistically expect from military pilots and other radio personnel; although that could also be said of the other two PS2 games.
Ace Combat 5 is a game that I, personally, do not like, but I will _never_ say I don't appreciate it for what it is. For me, it stumbles a lot over its own footing and message (That is to say, it tries to reinforce its anti-war message by having the central characters constantly remind the player how bad war really is). In my mind, I've likened AC04, AC5 and Zero to the original Star Wars trilogy, albeit out of chronological order - For me, AC5 is the New Hope of the PS2 trilogy, laying a good retroactive foundation for the series to ground itself to, while having its faults and issues. It's still a great game, with very high and emotional highs (Namely, Chopper refusing to bail out during the battle over November City), while also having some of the lowest frustrating lows in the series, such as how overly scripted the game is, compared to both AC04 and Zero. AC5 is easily my least favorite, and in my opinion the _least good,_ of the PS2 trilogy, but it is by no means a _bad_ game. "Fifteen years ago, there was a war. A war that engulfed the world - The Belkan War." Doesn't quite have the same emotional weight to it as "I was just a child when the stars fell from the skies, but I remember how we built a cannon to destroy them, and in turn how that cannon brought war upon us."
Do you know that in ace combat zero, the moment when the silber sq pops out one of the dialogue is asking about "pursuing huckebein"... Yep, it's "pops" the aircraft maintainer, and if you see on your big radar screen there is a single enemy plane far away from the main battle scene, if you catch on yo this plane, the display will say it's Huckebein and Yiu can shoot it down.. a little fun small detail you should know
good mention on ACX, it was my first one and while it ain't as good as the mainline ones it's no slouch either. Mission 12 remains one of my absolute favorite missions on the entire series.
if ace combat 5 is released after ace combat zero maybe cipher could appear when the fight with solg then become razgriz 5 and there would be more emotional moment especially when ofnir and grabacr suddenly got panicked
I honestly don't care what anyone thinks about me but I love the PS2 and Xbox versions of the Ace Combat series including Ace Combat 6 and Assault Horizon. The only reason why I love Assault Horizon is because it gave the World of Ace Combat a break after the release of Ace Combat 6 on the Xbox 360, I always wanted to have a Ace Combat game set in the Real World, and I love the idea of being the gunner of a BlackHawk plus we finally got to fly helicopters along with an AC-130 Gunship and B2 Bomber. I honestly want to be a helicopter pilot back in the Ace Combat series again.
ace combat 5 was my first intro into the ACE combat world and honestly i fell in love with it never experiencing a game like it before. i loved the story that was portrayed in the game and gave you plenty of various missions to complete. i do hope that Project Aces revamps the older games onto modern consoles. Plus add a Wingman system so that you can play online with actual people to beat the game but doing so means the game is much harder.
This was another hour well spent!! I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching Ace Combat retrospectives. I'm looking forward to the ACE6 video I really like the game and I think people tend to underrate it heavily due to the cheesy story.
@@CPS42069 I actually replayed the heck out of 5, so much that when I finally decided to start Zero, it felt like a chore. Zero felt underwhelming in the first few missions after playing 5 for so long, but it really started feeling special around halfway. Zero was one hell of a ride for me.
Sadly, it would simply cost too much to re-lisence all the planes and music, plus project aces isn't a huge team. Unless the community comes together and raises a LOT of money then we are unlikely to see the holy trinity come back

Unsung war was the only one of the series that made me cry. Over a character that died a completely avoidable death. 11/5 best game in my book. Edit: speaking of, loved the relationship between Bartlett and Chopper. Talk mad shit, but still had eachother.
AC4 taught me that there are heroes on both sides, some expected, some not. AC5 taught me that most wars are pointless, and started by people with no names, and only something to gain. Zero taught me well.. Taught me that your best friends can end up your worst enemies, despite the time spent together. Ace Combat 6 was just, Corny.
1:02:38 for real man, i have challenged myself in that part just to make it more difficult than it already was, going full throttle and only slowing down to make the curves
This has got to be my 2nd favorite game, below even Joint Assault for the PSP. I recently tried out 4 and I personally did not like how aircraft handled in that game, and I preferred 5 and Zero's handling. 4's planes felt like it had tons of ballast of weight on to the aircraft, making them slow. In 5 and Zero, it was possible for me to use even the earlier, weaker aircraft (Like the F-4E Phantom II or the Wild Weasel) and still do well. Another factor for me is how you always have a little less than needed ammunition for each mission. You could finish it without going back to restock, but I just never liked how little ammo you have being deployed. I guess it makes sense considering EVERY mission had a return line to the south for that. I grew up with Unsung War so there might be a little tinge of bias in there. Overall, for me, I personally have Zero and Unsung War above Shattered Skies mainly because of how the games feel and play.
Lmao The planes feel like being weighed Down by ballasts/weights, 🤔I wonder why, Maybe because they’re HEAVY MACHINES With HEAVY THINGS ON THEM? Almost like how REAL AIRCRAFT FLY ? You don’t like to drift ? That’s a sad existence
Well done video. While I wasn't the biggest fan of this game in the series, I really enjoyed the missions that it provided, I loved the Kestrel part of the game. I thought thar issuing orders was an excellent addition to the game and being able to equip your squadron with aircraft that you chose was awesome. I really enjoyed flying in a squad with the same planes as mine. That's coming from teenager me and older me since I'm in the middle of replying this game again (for the 30th something time). I look forward to your next video on the series, personally 7 has been my least favorite so far.
I love 7. The gameplay is a blast. I don't get caught up in the nostalgia of the soap-opera story lines and cheesy characters, but I understand many do. I've played all. 5 was my favorite.
Ace Combat series storyline is sometimes corny but still very engaging. It also has some of the best OST for console games. I can't decide whether I like AC04, AC05, AC Zero or AC07 more, my opinion seems to change on a daily basis.
I enjoyed AC5 the most out of the PS2 trilogy since the story is what kept me hooked the entire time and is one of a few games to make me emotional while playing it. The squadron mechanic was really neat and helped add a bit more personality to the game and allow you to tailor how you want to tackle missions for some extra replayability. AC Zero was just alright, not bad, but asides from the stuff with Pixy, it's kinda forgettable. But with #4, that I have very little enjoyment from playing it asides from the music since the story is barebones to the extreme like it's unfinished and the majority of missions in it are just tedious score attacks. AC3 (Japanese version) blows #4 out of the water easily despite being a console generation behind.
Im not using english as my mother tongue, i played AC5 and then stuck in mission 11 as a kid, later i tried and succeeded but stuck again when i need to photo the tunnel and plane, but when i grow up i tried again and finally end the game, this is the best AC game i ever played
The last Belkan aces if not shoot down before the Solg enter the atmosphere, they will commit suicide by blowing themselves up, didn't know at the time I was left speechless, it was way more dramatic and brutal that i was expecting.
Ace combat 4, is the escense of what Ace combat should be, Ace combat Zero is the maximum expression of what it is. Ace combat 5, however, has the biggest emotional roller coaster of them all, being the only one that has had me playing in tears.
It doesn’t matter if it’s the best or not because it is the best. Ace combat 4, 5, Zero, 6, and 7 are by far the best. But Ace Combat 5 The Unsung War is my Number 1.
I remember getting Ace Combat 5 for Christmas 2004 and thought how advanced technology would be in 2010. 14 years later 2010 technology is ancient haha
@@JarboeGaming Absolutely, would love to see an extended sequel to your 04 video with more thoughts. 6 was much simpler than 5 IMO and I enjoyed it far more even though it was the least popular main game in the franchise. Worst thing about it was the absolutely awful Alex Trebek briefing/debriefing dialogue, you'll see!
Just wish that the air to ground and air to sea missions didn’t outweigh the air to air missions. Honestly, this is my most favorite of all the games, and I know Blaze isn’t as great as Mobius 1, Cypher, or Trigger, but I feel like having a little team and growing close with the squad makes it more enjoyable
AC5 is my favorite… I have a deep connection with being a “member of Ragriz”… maybe it’s the way I was immersed by the story. Don’t get me wrong. The dog fight between Yellow 13 and Mobius 1, and the fight between Cipher and Pixy are amazing.
AC5 is easily my favorite. Reasons: 1. The story itself. For me is the best. 2. The wingmen (I love Nagase 😍) 3. You can choose your wingmen planes. 4. You have 3 wingmen that fallows your orders. 5. The missions. My order is from the Trilogy: AC5, AC0, then AC04. AC5 my favorite from all the franchise, fallowed by AC7.

at first I don't really understand why AC5 seems kinda the least favorite AC trinity for some people, but you really did bring some good points why, not gonna lie I think AC5 still my favorite even until now just because it's the first AC game that I played and also the one that introduced me to this whole franchise. anyway, thank you for this great video
I have an absolute love/hate relationship with this game! I loved everything about it until the last mission where you had to fly down that ridiculously long and cluttered tunnel in a fighter jet (I wonder why fighter jets don't do missions like that in real life....) I gave up after the 50th attempt and then found a gaming site where I downloaded someone else's save file just so I could unlock the whole game (thank god for Action Replay!) What is it with Ace Combat games and having to fly inside structures? When Sony announced it was changing PS Plus and including PS1 and PS2 games to the Premium service I was genuinely expecting and excited to see all the AC games to be added but silly me, huh?
Ace Combat 5 is the lowest for me amongst the holy trinity, but I still think it’s probably the game most AC fans back then were introduced to and fell in love due to how bombastic it was
Ah yes The Almost Perfect Ace Combat ! If Only it Kept Ace04s flight Graphics and 2Player though Zero brought back 2player and Weapons+Colors load outs ,
AC5 was my favorite emotionally in the Holy Trinity by far. and AC: 0 was my fav gameplay.... but whether its the wait I had to have to get to AC7.... the Overall game of AC7.... the amazing soundtrack of 7... or all of the above, AC7 is my favorite by far, and Ive been playing since Air Combat... AC8 has huge shoes to fill. I look forward to your views on AC7
It's my favourite... Because it probably the only Ace combat game that feature a long mission. When i first play it i though my mission 18 will be my final mission... And then it hits me with the next mission that the squadron that supposed to escort us isn't there and then i just "damn there's more.. how long is this game bruh" at that moment i know this probably gonna be my favourite Ace combat. And also the ability to choose Yes or No and also a feature where we can choose our members aircraft. This game felt like it already managed to hits their formula. And i wouldn't mind if they want to become lazy and just straight copy paste AC5 features onto their new AC game cause it's already perfect. All i want is just a new story for StrangeRealWorld
The more and more time goes by, the closer this gets to becoming my favorite AC title. I may have to revise this in the future after we cover Ace Combat X.
@@JarboeGaming I didn't notice this video was 3 months ago, cause I just finished playing the Holy Trinity a few weeks ago... I can't I need more Ace combat stuff. Right after I finish the PS2 trilogy I immediately jumped to AC7 so I can feel like I completed the whole saga. I finish it in chronological order... The game features may feel weird a little bit cause it feel like up, down, up. But I play the game not because of the features but because of the story. My first AC game was AC7, cause right after I finish the game.. I feel hungry for more Ace combat content so after joining the fandom, they say go try PS2 game. So I setup back my old PS2. Buy new controller and stuff and then I immediately play the so called "Masterpiece" by fandom. And damn the music, character, the war take place.. it so perfect. And then jump to AC4, and then make AC5 as my final AC game so it fit the timeline. I also was thinking about playing ACX later and then maybe try emulate AC3 project Nemo Dude thanks for making this list now I feel full now... You don't know how lonely I am, don't have anybody to talked with about Ace combat series... like I literally just turn this whole series as my personality now lol Sorry for the yapping btw
I'm hoping the eventual AC8 goes back to this era, or even the time of Zero as something as cool as interrupting the speech to affect morale doesn't seem like it would fit the timeline of AC7, let alone if they went further ahead in time.
I loved the story of this game, however because of its heavy focus on story I felt like it sacrificed some of its gameplay freedom aspects which made it way less replayable for me compared to Zero and Shattered Skies
I can understand where you're coming from in your final thoughts about the lack of a distinct antagonist in 5 but I'm confused on how that segways into preferring megalith to solg. What does megalith have to do with yellow 13 and how is it less connected then the solg to the grey men? Additionally the antagonist that fills the role of pixy and yellow 13 is Hamilton but I agree that he doesn't compare to the other two
The Trinity really had touching stories and I can understand that 5 might appeal less to people with its storytelling and aircraft weapon choice. However, I'd argue AC5 story focus had always been about you and your squadron. Something AC4 didn't have and 0 dumbed down. Razgriz had main role to end the war by revealing the truth about what happened behind the curtain. The length of the game also lended itself to make you care about your squadron. 0 felt rushed to me, 4 had Mobius 1 just kill-kill-kill and suddenly the war ended. To me, 5 was Project Aces' attempt to personalized the story and make you feel like you actually contribute to end the war that filled with betrayal and conspiracies, which we never see again in future releases. Were 4 and 0 bad games? Nah, they were good with their storytelling as well. I love all 3 but AC5 to me is my favorite because how they do storyline, also the only Ace Combat game that made me cry somehow bruuh...
I Know of Ace Combat 5 the unsung war I played official u.s PlayStation magazine issue 85 Demo I like the beta music I enjoy playing full game about a storyline and awesome Soundtrack it got arcade operation Katina playing as Mobius One again
Watching your retrospective made me feel a bit annoyed because AC5 is also my least favorite entry in terms of story, because of how generic and unambitious it is. It tries to be a war story, but it's more of an adventure story, a quite generic one to be honest, and the war story tropes are there, but they're just there to generically say "war is evil" and stop there, thinking putting a lot of twists thinking it's creating an interesting story - I played ACZ first and AC5 just glosses over how Osea just took half of Belka; it was a war between imperial countries, but Osea is also an imperialistic country, not the bastion of freedom AC5 gives the impression to be if it weren't for the pure evil infiltrated Belkans. And I noticed you didn't talk about the poor attempt at romance, which I agree the less said the better. At least it had a great variety of planes, but ultimately not a fan.
I did enioy the story, it was sort of generic, I knew something was not as it seemed, but it was still fun. I thought removing special weapon selection from aircraft was a really odd choice too.
Ace Combat 5 was the first Ace Combat that I've ever played and it stills holds up a special place in my heart.

I liked being leader of the Razgriz, but I loved how Zero made me feared like a monster.
if you let some parts of the mission drag on you get to hear extra dialogue
I agree with everything said. Rest in peace chopper

This game along with Shattered Skies, and The Belkan War are my top games ever played. I blew up when I saw I could play them on PCSX2 with better graphics.
Oh boy, that scene of the kestrel sinking aways hits me hard.
Wish I could have played this one. Amazing work! Ace combat needs to have an show or something these story are just so good!
AC5 was my first Ace Combat game, and it got me hooked on the series. To this day, it’s still my favorite
Choppers death was the first time a fictional character to actually made me cry.
Do you know that in ace combat zero, the moment when the silber sq pops out one of the dialogue is asking about "pursuing huckebein"... Yep, it's "pops" the aircraft maintainer, and if you see on your big radar screen there is a single enemy plane far away from the main battle scene, if you catch on yo this plane, the display will say it's Huckebein and Yiu can shoot it down.. a little fun small detail you should know
actually pops and bartlett appears in the mercenary route (schwarze team), other than that your mostly correct
This game defined my Childhood, I love seeing people still talk about it
Been really enjoying these retrospectives, hopefully you do them for ACX and AC6 in the future.
Thats the plan, and we'll eventually get to 7, which I've never played.

good mention on ACX, it was my first one and while it ain't as good as the mainline ones it's no slouch either. Mission 12 remains one of my absolute favorite missions on the entire series.
I legit cried when Chopper died on the first time playing this as a kid
1:02:23 imagine being a civilian pilot and you some how got to that radio and you just heard 2 different nations aces singing
if ace combat 5 is released after ace combat zero maybe cipher could appear when the fight with solg then become razgriz 5 and there would be more emotional moment especially when ofnir and grabacr suddenly got panicked
Really enjoyed your AC videos, just watched them all. I appreciate the effort you put into these. Looking forward to 6!
Thanks! Im almost done playing through 6, it will be the next video on the channel!
This game was my childhood. Im so happy that you covered this
This was another hour well spent!! I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching Ace Combat retrospectives. I'm looking forward to the ACE6 video I really like the game and I think people tend to underrate it heavily due to the cheesy story.
Best Ace Combat in terms of mission combat felt like you actually had a geniune affect on the battlefield
4 was my first true love for air plane games..speed and awesome music and finally playing 7, 20 something years later on switch is awesome
this one is my favorite of the three, the story, the character it is just so good.
I also thought AC5 was the best, but then I played Zero and it's been my favorite entry ever since.
5 is really cool on a first playthrough. Then you realized on replays that maybe 5 is not so good after all.
@@CPS42069 I actually replayed the heck out of 5, so much that when I finally decided to start Zero, it felt like a chore. Zero felt underwhelming in the first few missions after playing 5 for so long, but it really started feeling special around halfway. Zero was one hell of a ride for me.
Man I love this game so much , since I was a kid I’ll play it over at least twice a year
Love AC5 but Zero will always be my favorite. "Yo buddy, still alive?"
For the record and correct me if I am wrong but disobeying a direct order not to shoot is always acceptable if you are being shot at.
31:33 Pops please thanks for the info but did you know that you were watched by him from the CCTV at this barrack?
Choper going down still brings a tear to my eye 20 years later.
i wish they remake ace combat 5, i think it has the best story out of all ace combat series
Sadly, it would simply cost too much to re-lisence all the planes and music, plus project aces isn't a huge team. Unless the community comes together and raises a LOT of money then we are unlikely to see the holy trinity come back
@@timlangley7169the “Licensing” is the Biggest joke anyway BECAUSE of that reason 🤷♂️
If it’s “just a goofy arcade fUn game” then why have ACTUAL LICenSed mechines in first place then ?
Yet another excellent video, and I completely agree with your critiques of it in the conclusion. It’s still a solid game.
This is my No.1 AC game and my most played game ever, I played it more then 20 times.
Having just played through 6, I agree it's its a little corny. Solid gameplay though. Looking forward to 7!
1:02:38 for real man, i have challenged myself in that part just to make it more difficult than it already was, going full throttle and only slowing down to make the curves
LoL what curves?
There’s no Flight model
At all
Now its time to wait for AC6
The best of the best. Without #5, 4 and zero would sink in the forgotten abyss of irrelevance
Lmao The planes feel like being weighed Down by ballasts/weights,
🤔I wonder why, Maybe because they’re HEAVY MACHINES With HEAVY THINGS ON THEM?
You know it's peak when favorites can't be decided.
The fact this game give you so much without any micro transaction. Great games.
A different era, for sure, back when games were just good as is ❤️
There were times in-game where I legitimately said "I'm Razgriz" before shooting down enemy jets/destroying ground/naval assets
5 was my favorite, but then I played Zero which predates 5 and I love that one to, but for me story wise 04 and Zero
The last Belkan aces if not shoot down before the Solg enter the atmosphere, they will commit suicide by blowing themselves up, didn't know at the time I was left speechless, it was way more dramatic and brutal that i was expecting.
Thanks for the upload totally made my day and my all time favorite ace combat game ever enough said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chopper will always be in my heart
I remember getting Ace Combat 5 for Christmas 2004 and thought how advanced technology would be in 2010. 14 years later 2010 technology is ancient haha
Well if your implying that 2010 from This Games Concept would be like to IRL?
I would say IRL is Way Lamer
Osean military court: 8492 is not a real squadron in our military

AC5 was a decent game with lots to enjoy on its own, but was a major step backwards from its predecessor IMO. Great video!
Appreciate it! I'm interested to see how AC6 plays out next!
@@cdyjv118 I've actually thought about re-visiting AC4 with a much longer analysis, it deserves it. Probably once I finish 6 and 7. Stay tuned!
Finnally!!!
Almost for the music alone, AC5 is my favorite
AC5 is my favorite… I have a deep connection with being a “member of Ragriz”… maybe it’s the way I was immersed by the story. Don’t get me wrong. The dog fight between Yellow 13 and Mobius 1, and the fight between Cipher and Pixy are amazing.
AC5 is easily my favorite.
Reasons:
1. The story itself. For me is the best.
2. The wingmen (I love Nagase 😍)
3. You can choose your wingmen planes.
4. You have 3 wingmen that fallows your orders.
5. The missions.
My order is from the Trilogy: AC5, AC0, then AC04.
AC5 my favorite from all the franchise, fallowed by AC7.
Who’s with me on want all three remastered? Comment below if you agree with remaster. AC5 is favorite one for this reason start with a f-5 use it enough get the f- 20 and experimental f29(I remember right)
The community would need to pay for the remaster. It would cost A LOT.

How is gründer allowed to exist after the events in this war?
Maybe they got a management purge? Or perhaps they cleaned their trails clean enough.
at first I don't really understand why AC5 seems kinda the least favorite AC trinity for some people, but you really did bring some good points why, not gonna lie I think AC5 still my favorite even until now just because it's the first AC game that I played and also the one that introduced me to this whole franchise.
anyway, thank you for this great video
Loved the Holy Trinity. Zero, 04, and Unsung War
Still the best in the franchise for me- followed by Zero and 7
04 and 6
AC4 all day......except the mission tango line! lol
Ace Combat 5 is the lowest for me amongst the holy trinity, but I still think it’s probably the game most AC fans back then were introduced to and fell in love due to how bombastic it was
Too many Conflicting opinions of this Franchise, so who cares right ?
Ah yes The Almost Perfect Ace Combat !
If Only it Kept Ace04s flight Graphics and 2Player though Zero brought back 2player and Weapons+Colors load outs ,
the amount of commercials is epic
AC5 was my favorite emotionally in the Holy Trinity by far. and AC: 0 was my fav gameplay.... but whether its the wait I had to have to get to AC7.... the Overall game of AC7.... the amazing soundtrack of 7... or all of the above, AC7 is my favorite by far, and Ive been playing since Air Combat... AC8 has huge shoes to fill. I look forward to your views on AC7
We'll get there eventually!
@@JarboeGaming I hope so! I really enjoyed your other AC videos!
I also was thinking about playing ACX later and then maybe try emulate AC3 project Nemo
Dude thanks for making this list now I feel full now... You don't know how lonely I am, don't have anybody to talked with about Ace combat series... like I literally just turn this whole series as my personality now lol
Sorry for the yapping btw
@@ArifxDD I would 100% recommend checking out Project Wingman if you haven't already!
I'm hoping the eventual AC8 goes back to this era, or even the time of Zero as something as cool as interrupting the speech to affect morale doesn't seem like it would fit the timeline of AC7, let alone if they went further ahead in time.
Agreed, I much prefer the non-drone era!
Spoiler warning....but after watching this AC7 did Harling dirty he went from an respectable hands on president to a suicidal last ditch effort one
This one an Shattered Skies are my favorite 2.
I loved the story of this game, however because of its heavy focus on story I felt like it sacrificed some of its gameplay freedom aspects which made it way less replayable for me compared to Zero and Shattered Skies
Same here, I like the game but replaying it is really a pain.
Yesh the more I look back on it, the better AC5 seems, I may have to return to it.
It's really special.
This is probably my most played AC....still can't find Nagase very fast though....
You just needed an excuse to make all of us heard Nagase say "I wanted to see your bridge of peace" again didn't you?
I Know of Ace Combat 5 the unsung war I played official u.s PlayStation magazine issue 85 Demo I like the beta music I enjoy playing full game about a storyline and awesome Soundtrack it got arcade operation Katina playing as Mobius One again
Belka has done no wrong

Ace Combat 5 is my favorite of the series.
If you’re on PCSX2, is there any way we could get your settings? The game looks great!
It looks like he's playing the PS4 version that came with preordering AC7.
I don't recall AC5 having widescreen support. Your footage looks like 4:3 stretched to 16:9.
